After trawling YT for a simple start guide for the nord stage 3 and looking at loads of over complicated rubbish, I found this one. Thank you for your clear and simple instructions. Well done!
This has been the easiest videos to understand that I have seen since I got my NS3 home. After struggling through 4 performances puling up sounds one at a time, I could only say how I WISH I had seen this simple video first. Thank you for making this a doable thing for anyone.
That tutorial was almost perfect. So you program 5 positions, how to you then save all of those programs as a song? or do you have to create a song, remember the parts then reload them?
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! I’ve got a brand new Nord Stage 3. I’ve not added or stored anything yet. When I select the Store button I’m getting a pop up message to the screen, “Store Disabled Memory Protected in System menu.” How do I remove this so I can store my presets?
hi mr.tony. thanx for your great video. -- please tell me ..... i heard somewhere that the nord stage has somewhere the possibility to increase the piano key clank sound of a real wooden key. but i cant find that parameter. could you please give me a hint where i should look .... for more wooden ole piano key ambiance "noise" . thanx a lot - chris
I have some questions- how many presets can you make? Once the keyboard is shut off, will they be saved? How do you restore the Royal Grand you erased?
You have Banks labelled A - H. Each bank has 50 presets. That means that you can have up to 400 presets saved. The Royal Grand sound can be recreated in a new preset by selecting the Royal grand when making your preset. By saving a new preset you do not erase the sound. It can still be found when creating a new preset.
Hi Tony. I just bought a Nord 6d from you guys. Is layering much the same way as the stage 3. As I can’t seem to find a tutorial giving me the help to create layers
Can you show me all brass voices in the stage 3 or in kurzweil forte? I don't know if I should choose a nord stage 3 or a Kurzweil forte? I'am looking for a giging board For funk should disco music so Good brasses strings piano's class hammond's etc with character:) such as string falls and typical horn brass characteristics.
I question if it’s a good idea to overwrite programs that NORD put a lot of effort into........you lose the program forever and some synth settings are very complex
Nords are built for studio work, over complicated for a live muso, prefer Roland everytime, simple, direct and far better piano sounds and the expression hammer action are the best, FACT.

Thanks for sharing! Great video and great playing.
Hello, I want to keep all of the default presets, but store my own on empty space, how should I do that
Nice video. Can you show the settings for the organ pad added toward the end?
What if you don’t want to overwrite jazzy Joey when you save a new sound?
Then go to the M. section or later. Those are blank from the factory.

Hi Ronald. Please do not hesitate to call one of our Keyboard Specialists direct on 01323 636140 to discuss the specifications of both models.
Brass is not Nords strong point.
How many sounds can you layer at once? Only 3?
I believe 6
The organ sync part, the camera didn’t show the keyboard 😢
Can the Nord stage 3 be detuned to 432 hz?
What if you want to store more than 5 sounds?
Hi Mike. You can keep scrolling past number 5 and continue saving as demonstrated in this video. Hope this helps!
Bonners Music Superstore Hi there, not sure I understand. Once all 5 programs are saved, how do you save a sixth and seventh program, etc..?
Hi there! When I turn my keyboard on, it starts at A:11 not A:01. Is this normal? How do I get to A:01?
maybe with the scroll ?
I have the same issue
Tony. How do you layer three sounds on the Nord Stage 3? I want to use a piano, pad, and strings. Thanks for your help!
Is this the same functionality like the Nord stage 2
