  • A quarter century old talk by E. Michael Jones who discusses St. Mary's College, degenerate moderns, intellectuals and truth. (July 13, 1996). Quite interesting to hear about the things that led him in his unique direction, and to see the things he's already formulating for the future. Unashamedly pilfered from Anthony Puccetti's youtube channel :)

What I found really interesting was the difference between the students of the mid 90's and now. At least those guys could articulate their points and come back with more questions, and then understand what E M Jones said in response. They didn't scream and yell. They didn't have an histrionic melt down when they got schooled. Boy things have changed!

I hate to agree, but if I am truthful I must.
On non-Europeans, I believe this has much to do with how well developed Christianity is in one place or another. I'm from Mexico, and there is no lack of talented, smart and crafty men, but what they don't have is a proper directive for wisdom. Christianity is underdeveloped in comparison to European (or European-descendant) culture. One can tell because there is little to no discernment within people of the difference between following the principles of Christianity and pagan practices. The result is, from what I've observed, that they either end up in the "destroying what others create" team or in the "follow the lead creator" team, seldom being able to create anything for themselves, not from lack of ability, but from lack of insight or appreciation for each and every human being and their creations.
To paraphrase E Michael Jones in reference to the Aztecs: "a culture that took the heart out from their people every now and then is not particularly concerned with the the individual, let alone his creation."
Thank you E Michael Jones for confirming my year long suspicions; now I have sth to work with.

@@bearifiablepau2095 - The Nordic peoples were Pagans... yet their Vikings terrorized the world. Clearly having morals you follow matters, but I don't think that is the problem. Where do we see the motivated people? Where do we see the non-motivated people? The motivated people all come from northern climates. The non motivated ones all live near the Equator. Being from the north, the motivated ones are white. Being from the Equator, the non motivated ones are darker. Why would this be?
Survival. The people from the north have lived for centuries with the knowledge that if they are not busy beavers all summer, they will not survive the coming winter. They HAVE to be industrious. They have to farm, tend their livestock, prepare fuel for winter, mend their homes and secure enough food to survive. What do the equator people have to do? Nothing. It's always warm. They can grow crops anytime. They can go fish anytime. They can hunt game anytime. And shelters are generally not needed, because if it's 98 degrees outside, it's 120 inside a mud house. In fact being a "go getter" will likely get you killed from heat stroke. They literally need to slow down to survive. So their (what we would call) laziness is baked in. As a result all the third world, and third world poverty is where? Around the Equator. IMHO it's the only answer that truly explains it all.

Idk, he adequately describes a core problem associated with modern man, in the sense of how we act. The book makes zero sense if you don't have a specific frame of reference, or operate from a specificframe of reference. You cannot be, if you pretend and or tie your identity essence to things or things in this world, which he argues we all do. In other words, he simply makes the argument that our world is an illusion, a fabrication of our making. He simply is observing the state of modern man. Ironically, his work actually makes a strong implicit argument for Logos. Even though one could say it doesn't.

It is also rumored that he is funded by Opus Dei, the "brain trust" of the corrupt, Modernist Novus Ordo institution. "You can can either conform your desire to the truth or the truth to your desire." (EMJ) Meaning you subordinate your desire to the Truth or subordinate Truth to your desire. Who is the subject and who is the object here. In other words, which can comes first? In deed, truth comes first and thus desire must be guided and governed and ruled by the truth. That way, true liberty is achieved.

Actually The Scarlet Letter is a subtle undermining of decency, because it seems to glorify the martyr Hester and her refusal to name her lover which was wrong of her, and the community bad because they punish her for adultery when her husband has gone missing a long time, presumed dead and then it turns out he's been sneaking around under another name, so effectively he abandoned her. This story undermines subtly the concerns against adultery, and against public opprobrium against it, depicting an unfair situatin that likely, the husband being presumed dead, would never have happened anyway.

He suddenly asked, while we were joking about people vaping in the bathroom, he said "why don't the hall sweepers stop them, it would take like two seconds". The schools know kids, and lots of them are doing drugs IN THE SCHOOL! The truth is they don't want to stop them. They want them to keep doing it. Sure they'll give a cringe speech once a year, but those make you want to do drugs even more. The education system doesn't educate, it doesn't even indoctrinate, it corrupts.
