In Yugoslavia was existed diffreent variants od uniforms in JNA - army , JRM - navy and JRV - airforce and Marines when I served as one year as an JRM constript in eighties in Pula. Then in this city you can seen almost all variants of military uniforms.
Never seen those boots before. They look so cool - almost like some MC boot hybrid. Anyone knows during which period they were made? I'm only familiar with more recent Yugo boots just before the breakup of the country that had kind of a strap over the laces - those looked cool too when worn with laces really tight. But the boots in this video are even better.
JNA personal equipment is interesting lots of Leather in a light tan to dark brown as it stains withuse and reissue to the generations of Conscripts..... lots of belts and cross straps for not much carrying capacity ( old style Eastern bloc style).... it looks rather better than it being useful.... but I like it. Sometimes the Tetovka has a set of sewing needles and thread in the flaps or parallel to the baby seam, it is worth checking any you find.
@ShejtanVrbaski I must have missed that lesson on the SOCIALIST Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and its ruling parts the League of COMMUNISTS of Yugoslavia... they may have left Commintern, Commecon and the Warsaw Pact but they were still communist so part of the CommBloc
a small inner pocket is used for one roll of field dressing bandage. rank on epaulettes is sergeant or junior sergeant (non-commissioned officer). there were several versions of TITOVKA (summer, winter and officer's). the red ribbon is the mark of the officer on duty.
@@LD-wm7jmWhich radio? 😊 I've served in ex JNA some 15 months and never seen this "radio" . Not me or anybody else. ;) Corporal (" desetar") had a two red ribbons. I wasv one with this rank. One ribbon iz "razvodnik" rank. One rank lower under corporal. Yes, "dežurni" means " on duty" . 👍

I have that same M/59 JNA helmet with a serial number TB6819. So that was made just after mine. Cool!

Guy with the cigarette looks like Robert de Niro
Good video ❤
Getting your money's worth out of our Matt then Simon mate? 😂
He's a good sport.
Are you familiar with the mountaineer cloak? Around ww2 to 1970s?
I am afraid, not, Matt might be, I shall ask.
I think that small internal pocket was for a bandage - a lot of combloc armies had that feature for their field jackets
Yug was not "combloc"
