Well done! It is interesting to see the mishmash of kit that the Iraqi soldier would use at that time. I knew about the M76/M80 South Korean helmet, but never knew about the Bundeswehr-like parkas they used.

Iraq is an extremely fun military to study and collect. It has been interesting to see the British influence on their military (something overlooked here in my home of the USA). I'm working on an Iran-Iraq war Republican Guard kit right now

Where did you find sourcing for the Iraqi infantry kit? Getting interested in collecting Iraqi gear and I'm not sure where to start!

Iraqi Militaria is a good site for it. Middle East Militaria as well. Or just on ebay.

So many conscripts were slaughtered for one man’s ambitions.

So many people were slaughtered in the interests of US HEGEMONY. No US interference..... No resistance, no terrorism, no ISIS.

Most of the Iraqi soldiers had no intention to fight. They surrendered at the first sign of resistance. The "4th largest military" was also a misnomer. Iraq had a lot of ghost soldiers, and the "soldiers" they had, fired 5-10 rounds in training. Remember, even in it’s absolute peak capability (early Iran-Iraq war era) Iraqi army would lose battles regularly against sanction riddled Iran. They had no chance against the coalition.

Interesting to see the similarities between the Iraqi army and the Argentine one ten years earlier. The look in the helmet and big parka, the fact they both invaded their neighbours quickly and easily but were later swiftly removed by force.

The Argentines didn't get their butt's "royally kicked" at all like the Iraqis did in the Gulf War. For the losses they sustained, they inflicted reasonably heavy casualties on the British including sinking 2 destroyers, 2 frigates, and destroying 10 fighters and 24 helicopters. That campaign was not some cake walk for the British. Do you even know what you are talking about?

@@cattledog901 “do you even know what you are talking about” well bruh I could ask you the same question. I mean the Argentines are fighting in their own back yard, they’ve got most of their Air Force and Navy online (apart from the guys watching Chile), and yeah sure they inflict some material losses on the Brits but in return they walk over a mountain range, kick you out, and sink your flagship in the process. I certainly think that even with the casualties the UK won handily.

@@orangealiens8201 No one said the British didn't win genius. I said it wasn't a "royal butt kicking" like you claimed it was. The British suffered 255 dead, Argentina 649. Thats no where near some easy cake walk for the British and much more than some "material losses". In the Gulf War the coalition suffered 292 killed and the Iraqis somewhere between 30k to 50k killed. Saying both those campaigns were similar "royal butt kickings" is absurd and shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

@@cattledog901 ok bud sorry you disagree. Your comment presents rather pissed off and absolutely certain that you’re more of an authority on this than me and (whether that’s true or not) I’m certainly not gonna gain anything by continuing to argue with you.

@@orangealiens8201 I mean no one anywhere not even the British themselves claim the Falklands campaign was a "royal butt kicking". You could watch the lowest level most mainstream documentary about the war and it will show the British took their fair share of punches and casualties in the process. The fact you are ignorant to that is clear evidence you aren't read on the subject in the slightest, you don't even know the basics. Maybe don't open your mouth when you don't know what your talking about and you won't have to get called out.
