  • We wash and dry our quilts, but before hanging them we spend a few minutes steaming them. Spend a few minutes with Bill as he guides you through the process and shares other tips along the way.
This video features our quilt Fashion District, available in Quilts Made Modern through Amazon at: www.amazon.com...
Hanging behind Bill in the video is our Quiet on the Set quilt, featured in Modern Quilts Illustrated #10, available on our website at: www.modernquil...

I'm sure you've heard of the Oliso quilting iron that automatic lifts up when through ironng

We've tried the Oliso iron and didn't like its steam capabilities nor working with it. In teaching all over the world we've used hundreds of irons and none work as well for us at Rowenta. Although we seem to need a new Rowenta more frequently than we like, no other iron matches its steam and the very useful pointed tip.

I too like my Rowenta! But I used to hate it. With a passion! They "spit" ugly water droplets, staining the items i was ironing, sometimes completely ruining them.
Loved the steam, hated the spit.
I purchased several Rowenta irons, gave up and purchased other brands, only to miss the steam power and return to Rowenta hoping the latest model wouldn't spit. But it would..sigh.
I finally solved my problem by completely draining the water after each use or end of day. Never leaving water inside more than 12 hrs. Problem solved.

We do the same thing. Not a perfect situation but the steam can't be beat!
