Before asking any specific truck/deck compatibility questions, please reference the chart at 0:50
Also, we recommend keeping your trucks within 1/4 inch (0.25) of the deck width. Yes you can mount trucks that are further apart than that, but it's not ideal. Cheers! - Tim

I have a 8.125 what size trucks should I skate? I like only venture thunder and Indy’s. But I’m thinking ventures… for ventures I want highs. What truck size should I skate?

If you check out the chart in the video, you'll see that an 8.125 deck would work with 5.2 or 5.6 Ventures, and 139 or 144 Independent trucks. 👍- Tim

There’s also the decision of which truck has their axle outward or inward because depending on where your axle is, it’ll affect how your truck turns and how your board pops.

The TRUE reason for having the bolt switch is so that when you grind allot, you NEVER make the bolt smooth by wearing it out, hence you wont be able to adjust it anymore if so. So by having the bolt flipped and using and "allen" key to adjust trucks, you never have to worry about that.

However the problem with inverted king pins is if you skate really rough spots or just skate a lot, the kingpin can start to rattle off and make your trucks looser.

The angles on the different brands' baseplates and pivots is all different, so I don't know how well the various combos of trucks will fit together. But the only way to find out is to try it! You can definitely mount it, but it's not ideal. The trucks being a 1/2 inch smaller will give the board different pressure points for tricks and make the board feel and skate differently. But if you want to rock 8.0 tucks on an 8.5 deck, then go for it! 👍🛹 - Tim
