@@ajeebfoodhunter Ajib brother!!! Love you buddy. Wish we can come back to Malaysia soon! But for now stay safe with all the COVID cases rising again. We will send some prayers your way!! Love you and say hi to Nur for us
Thank you for sharing your impressions with us. As a Serb, I am really touched by Ivana s kindness and as always, by miraculous St. Basil of Ostrog adopting everyone willing to pay due respect. Savina monastery in Herceg Novi all along with its exhibits collection, the richest of all you can find in Montenegro might be your next stop, if you are interested to find out more. Enjoy your stay and god bless you
In montenegro you have two 2 rivers which supply each one lake. One river is called the white river and supplies the white lake and the black river supplies the black lake. I believe thats the reason why they call it black lake Black honey we also have in 🇦🇱. Its nore bitter but also more healthy than normal honey Oh and btw try to toast a slice of bread , spread some butter and some honey on top😋😋and to make it more interesting eat it with some cheese(🇦🇱 🧀) and you have the best ever combo😋😋😋
@@JetLagWarriors ah you are welcome. And yes . Its more healthy i think cuz it has less sugar and since its made from pine trees its more rare and it has other benefits that regular honey doesnt have
Beau….Awesome…love the way you guys describe the history , and the energy of the monastery…it’s the history that we lack in Canada being a younger country…glad you’re enjoying your travels…what could be better!!!😘😘😘
Thanks for watching, as always, Bruna!! You're right about Canada being so young... our history isn't nearly as visible or lengthy. Maybe that's why I love history so much when I travel. :)
Very scenic! There are more monastery of old on a high rock in Europe. Very unique. Like Steve said at the beginning, - a slice of heaven. One day I want to have a chunk oh heaven! Not just a slice...! The Black Lake is swimmable... Ivana is sensitive to surroundings...l remember we were at Dabong , and some of the chalets gave you the creeps...
Relieved to see that Montenegro isn't all just mountain ranges. There is actually some flat land which can be used for agriculture, as we saw with you out of the windows on the bus. Tara canyon? Canyon seems to be the word they use in North America. In most of the rest of the Anglosphere they would call it a "gorge". And it was gorgeous all right!
Wow, what a great morning to have home grown food as breakfast. No wonder Steve wiped the plate super clean 🤠🤠 Views around the Canyon n Tara Bridge are just awesome. l too wonder why it's called Black Lake where the water isn't black at all... it's so blueish /turquoise. Super interesting History by Steve about St Basil and the monastery. Great content, great vlog and it's fun watching.
Wow, the black honey looks like molasses! Yeah, probably an acquired taste...liquorice +honey taste! Can't see myself liking it a lot! That lake water sure looks pristine and those mountains so majestic! Soooo beautiful! Yes incredibly beautiful!!! Love the history and Ivana's extraordinary experience in that ancient monastery!
This is one great video of yours, as we are used to...👍 Enjoy this wonderful adventures in the Balcans or/ and ex yougoslavia countries ! The Black Lake and sorrounding mountains look like Schwitzerland, intense beauty ! Impressive history of this orthodox monastery and the faith of this pilgrims , orthodox, carholic but even muselms...to venerate the Saint Basils , "the healer" 🙏 at the Ostrog Monastry . Thank you both of you , for sharing this amazing experiences. Keep up with the good job , dear Ivana and Steve. 👏👏🎩
Wow what a great video. You guys always have great videos., want to travel more often.black lake !!!! Nice little beach., I will do the swimming as well Enjoy your stay and stay blessed 😇
Before covid many types and kinds of honey use to come from Indonesia to Singapore and each one tasted different , I mean not like honey and the colors were also different , my husband is very fond of honey and he bought a jar though not tasty but health benefits that we were told were many . He finished it 😄
I think it is a different Saint, but no idea abut the Basil leaf. I googled it quick and the name for Basil Leaf comes from a Greek word meaning 'King' which dates back to before Jesus was born. So totally unrelated I think
You're right, Ivana, a Catholic would feel quite affected and at home in an Orthodox shrine like that monastery. Everything would seem quite familiar. It's hard to know really what the difference is between these two ancient bodies of Christianity. Often it seems just to be a geographical difference, the Orthodox living in south-west Europe and Russia and the Catholics living in the rest of Europe and the New World. I understand plenty of Catholics go on pilgrimage to that monastery also, and even some Muslims as well. You'll be seeing lots of churches, monasteries and shrines in Romania now, both Orthodox and Catholic. Lots of them!
Hi guys 👋🏻 really stunning view of the lakes 👍 I've never heard of a black honey must be special huh 😍 the building structure of the monastery is unique and thanks for informative story Steve but too bad we can't see the inside of the building anyway I really enjoyed watching this episode 👍🥰😍
I concur, that's one of the prettiest canyon I've ever seen! If you don't mind, I would dip the fries with that honey. It might taste nicer that way?! 🤣 And thank you for your commentary about the history! Interesting indeed! Keep them coming guys!
The Big Bopper had also been perfectly preserved in his casket before his son ( I believe) asked for him to be examined...so I guess, he must have been a Saint as well, lol. I think the casket builder became pretty popular after that...

Hey Steve O. Whenever you come across such monastery , could you please say a little prayer for me (if you can remember that). I would appreciate that act of kindness.
YES!! It was absolutely AMAZING! The massive Cathedral all carved from wood, and they even found some manuscripts that confirm the Gospels, dating back to, 1st or 2nd century underneath the floor!! Just amazing, but no cameras allowed unfortunately
@@JetLagWarriors And the ICONS! I had to be dragged out of that place. Nothing prepared me for what we were about to witness when we walked in. A total hidden gem!
