I like the format used by the channel Play to Win. U get the regular gameplay and tabletalk, but they will occasionally cut away to do some narration about recent plays.
I think I suggested inserting commentaries on how a card affects the board when it is played some time ago. Just started the video but you just commented a turn 2 drannith magistrate. It's keeping me much more involved in the action and the video the way I hoped it would. I realize it requires more work but the quality improvement on the video is extraordinary! Thank you and please keep it up !
Really nice win here. That was a great game, I liked the voice over, but it is nice hearing the players too. Thanks for posting such entertaining videos!
Wow big thanks Mons, it comes as a shock as I have been advocating for a $300 budget causal commander format for the last 18 months. A format that has a $28 Bruna aura deck that can beat decks a lot larger than itself. Seems only fair that cEDH doubles that budget. Prob a huge coincidence, but awesome none the less.
And the fifth horseman rides off into the next year as a winner. Wow great game Mons and I like the restriction for a budget cEDH game. Shows everyone that decks can still be powerful with a budget.
11:06 everyone exhausts their counterspells on breach only for Mons to reveal a negate priceless. Really sweet budget Sisay deck btw. I was wondering if consultation Kess was an older budget Kess.
My favorite high-power edh budget decks are $100 budgets because it makes people think outside of the box for alot of card choices. Even on a $100 budget, you can still build really solid mono and two color decks that are surprisingly competitive and can be a high 7 to an 8.
Great game and great video again Mons. This video format isn't bad, for me is a bit jarring. I've never understood why if the narrator is playing, why say thought own name instead of just saying "me" or "I", but all in all great job Mons glad to see that you could run Sissay on a lower budget. Keep it up!
Let's give a big round of applause to the Rules Committee. "Braids and Iona can die and go to hell, F you paradox Engine, Ya'll are not part of the spirit of commander" also the Rules Committee "yea, Drannith Magistrate is a perfectly fun and balanced card"
This is such a great video! I really like the additional explanation/commentary being provided ontop of the gameplay. This is especially helpful in understanding why you made certain plays and helps me learn to be a better Sisay player. Mons, do you have a link to you current non-budget Sisay list?
Love your stuff! I think you should try leaving the gameplay microphones on but pause and interject with your own commentary on occasion (you could also voice over spots where the microphones aren't great)
That is what I normally do. And those will be my main style of video. But I think I will make a few narrated games like this when microphons arent great. Sometime peoples microphones got echo and things.
@@cedhtv I think the two justifications you provided are perfect for narrated videos. I fully support narration when it adds to the video instead of removing the table talk, which I find to be the most valuable aspect of watching competitive play.
I am w8 for paper cards to arrive in my mail. Untill then I don't wanna proxy opposition agent and hullbreacher and other cards. But once they arrive I will be back on paper cards again. Looking forward to it. Wanna play with real cards again soon.

@@cedhtv Are you sure? In my playgroup another day a friend of mine just told me contrary about Ruling on Kinnan. But if you are right then great next time Ill get 2 mana of that.
Actually it needs to be a mana ability. "You’re “tapping a permanent for mana” only if you’re activating a mana ability of that permanent that includes the {T} symbol in its cost. A mana ability produces mana as part of its effect."
@@cedhtv Yeah you can't tap Deathrite Shaman for 2 because of Kinnan. Kinnan adds an extra mana from a mana ability. Mana ability cannot be responded to. Deathrite shaman's ability requires a target so it is not a mana ability by rule.

This is about the budget I’m comfortable with thanks for showing how powerful these budget decks can still be
That final turn was grand! Seeing the changes in the meta due to the budget restraint was also cool

Happy you like em M. Fun to do videos for people that like em.

US gives out 600$.... Mons makes video with 500$ budget....
;) I see you
Loved seeing that Sisay deck go off. I'm super tempted to make that my second cedh deck.
It is a super fun deck. And it preformed really well without expensive lands.
After seeing Mons and Rebel play Sisay...it became my go to EDH deck. Need a Gaea's though :(

Great content, as Always. Please take the Budget series further

FREEEEEEE BRAAAAIIIDDDSSSS!!!!!!!!
Another great video Mons!
Thank you Patrick. I am glad you like it.,
Interesting to see the difference between a budget manabase and a manabase with fetchlands.
Oooh I quite like this style of video, it's kind of weird to hear you refer to yourself in the third person though haha.
yeah I know. But if I say Me people might be confused to I guess. Glad you liked it. I plan on mixing it up and do both.

Mons, do you have a link to you current non-budget Sisay list?
Yes I do this is the current Non-budget sisay list called Law of Sisay.
Happy you like the videos :)
More commentary please
I love this deck. Looking to build one myself
Been brewing malcom tana hatebears, should be a lot of fun!

HNY! Still prefer the 1/2 narrated 1/2 real time format, but nice to see you trying different things.
Hey Mons, great game! What happened to your paper decks? Do you only play through your screenrecord moxfield now?

Actually deathrite shaman can tap for 2 mana with kinnan since Deathrite isn't a mana ability?
Correct but for kinnan it only needs to tap for mana. Dosen't have to be an mana ability.

Ok do this again except for $499
Wanna join in on a 500$ gameplay ion the future?
Narrated > original style
Happy to hear you like that. I have seen a few people like that so I wanned to keep making em.
Nah sorry, I like the other version better
The narrated is weird and reminds me of every other channel
Don't worry. I will do the original style more often. With in game players voice.
