wow great stuff. I can not wait to get ahold one for my self. I did machine shop for 4 years in high school, so I always appreciate good machining. Really is great stuff.
Fantastic job with this overview and install David 😱. Very clear and straight forward explanation of all the key points and reasons this is a must upgrade!!! Traxxas would love everyone to buy only their products, but that's ridiculously limiting for guys that want bigger power and performance 🚀🚀. So grateful for the beautiful options M2C comes up with 😍. The wheel hexes look so Badass 👀. The Sledge (like Big Bertha) will reach it's true potential thanks to Mitch and Avery. Great job with this Brother!!!! 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
M2C to the rescue!! This is a crucial upgrade on this truck, Based on my observation about the motor mount. Very well done rundown of the kit and installation of the mount Bro David. Now where the hell is my Sledge! LoL 😂. Awesome stuff brother!
Hey man have a question I need help with. I keep stripping my grub screws on my 800kv hw on my outcast 8s exb 8mm shaft i believe. If I drilled the motor shaft and used a limitless grubsvrew where it'd go thru the shaft hole just big enuf to fit the grubpin. Good idea bad idea?
@@reid9041 Bad idea. no disrespect. You will automatically weaken the motor shaft. I have stripped a grub screw before. Make sure your 2.5 hex driver is in good condition and apply a bit of pressure forward as you tighten the grub screw.
I know you can't wait to get out with the sledge, but honestly I think I'm more excited to see what she's like. Definitely agree on the quality on that mount... Beautiful job you've done bud. 😉💯.... So looking forward to where ever your gonna take it either the skate pk or that dirt bike track.
Hi Mate could you do me a favour? How long are the button head screws on top that hold the top motor mount down as I bought used amd has come without them? Thanks
Well, thee goes your Traxxas Sponsorship! Proprietary Garbage! 🤣 great how to, now the sledge may be worth getting for us mailbox and portapotty killers! Can’t wait to see you test her out! You are the man Bars&Tone!!! 👍👊💯👏👏👏👏
LOL well it’s a good thing I wasn’t looking for Traxxas sponsorship. Honestly dude I’m not looking for any sponsorship the monitization is cool but I never started this or doing this for money. That’s what my job is for LOL
@@BarstoneRC I just shut of my monetization. They give you 20$ for a million views, so it’s not even worth it🤣! I didn’t realize I still was monetized. We both just have fun and do it for the fun. Unless we’re driving your xmaxx! 🤣 I’m sorry you have bad luck with that. Keep on killin it! 👍
bye, congratulations! keep sharing your wonderful videos. I wanted to know the motor and a 1700kv but the circumference and the length what is it? and if you can help me tell me how much space in centimeters there is to install a maximum length of engine thanks and congratulations I await your news. Thank God for M2C. It is pretty sad though. at the price point of the Sledge. people should not have to go through all of this. You just turned a $800.00+ Truggy into I'm going take a guess $1k+. 💩 at this point I'm Surprised M2C Racing doesn't have there own line of Busher's. Thank's for Sharing David. Okay so do they sell a fan mount for the motor mount and how much more is it? I would rather not spend any extra and just stick to the gearing chart they have and not have to buy anything extra get a built in fan mount and not have to worry about the plastic brace because if you use said gearing chart the plastic piece will work for those. Not a must do more people have not had issues with the stock motor mount than have had issues with it.

I just got mine in and they no longer include the plate to secure the tail end of the motor with the original 2 screws and zip tie. The tail end just floats in the air now, not sure I care for that. The M2C installation video doesn't show it being used either... th-cam.com/video/RFpJr3aDaiA/w-d-xo.html
@@BarstoneRC yeah that's what I figured. I ended up taking the drill template bar and bolting it under the tail of the motor in the original back two motor mount slots. Then I put a thin adhesive backed cushion on top of the bar. It makes a decent little cradle for the tail of the motor to rest on. Ran the whole setup last night for the first time and had no issues at all with the gears/mesh. That's a first because I've lost mesh and/or broken gear teeth every single time I've taken it out since I took it out of the box. Thank you M2C!
What's the pitch on a gear mean.. Here's why I ask..My pinion gear is narrower than my spur and does the pitch have to do with that lol?..Guess I could Google it🤣

just got that same motor in mine. didn't know what to do on gearing so I guess with 19/52. hope it doesn't get too hot

Looks awesome might do this to my sledge are the m2c parts available in the UK
There is at least one or two dealers that supply their stuff over there
I have the same kit just curious where you came up with instructions
I never had instructions I just put it together. But they have lots of videos on all of their kits on their website.

Great video. Thanks M2C make’s the best looking innovative stuff. Tuff too. What size motor can is that??
They’re doing a new design and we’re gonna find out what all motors fit
man all that added weight.
question wont that zip tie melt? (motor do get hot)
The zip tie was just there during the mounting stage and no it shouldn’t melt but again everyone has to remember these are the prototypes.

I just got home from its first test a few minutes ago and it performed amazing

I’m not at home right now but if you’re talking about the ones that mount or hold down the motor mount they’re usually about 3/4 of an inch long
Good job bud thumbs 👍

looks ❤❤❤❤, tip notch stuff as always, can bearly wait for mine❤. Very good video, explaining ❤❤❤
Thanks bud
So how would I use a fan with this mount
I would think a sideways low-profile fan would work, I never run fans really on any of my cars, so I never really take account for that space

Well look at arrma chassis...if you want a arrma tough you definitely need an m2c chassis and the ones for the 8s are not cheap
Arrma needs to do a collab with m2c like they did with the tlr typhon

Awesome mount, does it allow you to fit a bigger motor like a 1650kv or still same amount of room forcing you to stick with a 2000/2200 kv type motor?
Well this is the first revision mount, they’re sending me a different one and there’s going to be some stuff coming for more room
Is that a 1650kv motor
No that’s the stock motor
Hello from southeast alaska do you have any stickers for my rock crawlers?
I do shoot me an email

Why is this a prototype seems perfectly fine?
They’re going to fine-tune it and make it perfect.
We been waiting for this one!
I like everything about this thing except for the zip tie on the motor to the rear support plate.
This is the prototype buddy and I just got off the phone with them and there’s some other modifications that are being made
