One of the most under rated Canadian music legends! I never understood how the Kim Mitchell band never became more popular world wide. A true treasure from the great white North.
@@YesItsReallyKeithI seen him at coffee shop .went up to him and said he looked like Kim Mitchell ..he said ..I am he .. I was floored ..what a honour meeting k Mitchell ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for posting, I couldn't make his concert (a crushing disappointment for me) when he was here in Calgary in November 2024. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing him in Vancouver several times in the 1990's. Most notably at the Orpheum in July 1990, it was my birthday present to see him in concert. I remember exiting onto the street after an incredible performance, I was beaming. A person sees me and says what concert was going on?? I said we just saw Kim Mitchell. He says, awesome man...how was she. I laughed. I said yeah...SHE WAS awesome. (He had no clue...poor sap). One of the greatest Canadian artists of all time, severely underrated. One of my ultimate favourite artists...ever.
Kim and Peter are Canadian music treasures. All of the Kim Mitchell shows I've seen were stellar. And that goes back to Massey Hall in the late 70' s. The highlight of the show was Kim sitting down with a black acoustic guitar singing On The Road. That was close to 50 years ago but I remember it as if it was last week.
Shelly Hartman on CHEZ 106 radio in Ottawa often said after playing a Max tune, ‘thank God for Max Webster’. That was about ‘78 or ‘79. Her words stay with me. Thanks for posting Haven’t seen Kim in About 10 years. Maybe in ‘25!
Thanks for posting this! Kim and the band sound as great as they ever have, and what a treat to hear them cover such an unexpected song! (I love that when Kim said they were going to play the most-streamed song of all time, you can hear someone in the audience say, "I hope it's not Taylor Swift!") I love hearing classic bands play modern music, and hopefully this may have brought Kim a couple of new, young fans.
It’s because of this man I went out and bought my first Sony Walkman just so I could listen to rock land wonderland. I was the coolest kid on the block and bet today most kids have no idea what a cassette and Walkman are. Shit, I’m aging but this music will forever stay, timeless. Thank you Mr.Mitchell.
Everyone has a list of songs that just hit you, that right from the first listen you love it. That no matter how many times you hear it, you feel the same way. That makes you feel sad, makes you feel love, makes you feel happy. All We Are is on my list. This is a GREAT love song and no matter how many times I hear it I feel that same way as I did the first time many, many years ago. What a great version of it. Thanks for the upload of this show.
Peter, the first time I saw you perform was back in the day, at the "Greny" (Queens Hotel) in Peterbough with Paul Butler. You guys were great back then and you still got it!!
My first live concert I attended was Kim Mitchell in Saskatoon Saskatchewan back in 1986. Was a great show. Seen them twice since then over the years, great Canadian rocker legend
This is simply amazing. Played guitar in cover band all my life. Kim plays every song so incredibly well it’s mind boggling. His band is so tight. Can’t find enough good words to describe this concert 😀
I'm quite surprised that Kim has not had any accolades for his guitar playing. He never shows off, but he has more licks and prowess than many would ever think. He can rip it with the best, and has the musical knowledge to back it up. Nice thing about Kim is his music isn't so over the top he can't sing it anymore as an older musician. All We Are was actually his keyboardist singing the high chorus. Saw him at Lulu's back in the 90's and what an awesome show. I travelled across Canada on the Greyhound back in 1986 and Akimbo Alogo was the soundtrack for the entire trip. There was a girl who lived in Niagara Falls at the time who can attest to that lol. 😉
@@PETEDOVEPIX I've dealt quickly and harshly with dolts like that yelling at me on stage. The laughs I would get at their expense is the only thing such loogins are good for. 😂👎🤡
Saw Kim at the Gasworks. 1977 I think. To drunk that night to remember exactly what happened. We did buy the band a round however. Great band, a guy jumping around on stage in fluorescent pyjamas, incredible night.

Although I am from tiny Holland, I’ve allways loved Max Webster and Kim Mitchell solo. Great canadian solid rock’n’roll; timeless!!
High Class in Borrowed Shoes.
Thanx Kim for entertaining us.
June 18th, 1976 Oshawa Civic Auditorium
Opening for Rush.
He played at my high school (M .M. Robinson), also in Burlington, in 1977.
Saw him in Buffalo back in June. Loved it
Wow! Been a fan since Max. I can't believe how good they still sound. Thanks for the show and thank you for posting, it means a lot.
I saw him with Max Webster in the 70's and solo....he's been doing his rock n roll duty for 50 years and never disappoints.
Kim's voice still sounds great after all those years. Band sounds awesome..
yeah, i recognize the voice but if I saw him on the street I would not recognize him.... been a while since I saw him!!!

Lovin it from Burlington Ontario Canada 🇨🇦......long live Kim Mitchell.
I used to ride my bike from mississauga to Burlington listening to Walkman back in those early 80s days listening to Kim Mitchell, ratt, scorpions etc

What a wonderful vocal blend Kim and Peter have.Loved the lap steel patch the keyboardist had in 'Easy to Tame'.

I was at this show seen Kim 15 + times. This is one of the best shows I have seen.
Brilliant - thanks for this, from Ireland 🇮🇪🇸🇩🤘
Just seen Kim at the Commodore on November 11 in Vancouver Canada.
Excellent 👍🇨🇦
Growing up in Southern Ontario with songs on the radio.
50 years of rockin and still as good as ever!! Looking forward to the London show!
I remember watching him in my high-school gym...Niagara District Secondary School.
These guys are on my bucket list. Maybe one day……
Same here, but there's gonna be a wicked disturbed guy freaking out if he don't play "go for soda" when I get there!

Wow. This brings back memories.
Kim's voice sounds fantastic.
Thanks 👍🇨🇦
I seen Kim at the casino in Brantford.Put on a great show.
So many amazing songs. Such an exceptional talent. What a legend!
So cool to see Kim Mitchell again! Unfortunately it's kind of hard to see him. Fire the lighting guy

So great ... These guys sound awesome ... Great singing, great playing and the tone from that Tele is so sweet ...
Thanks for this! Kim rocks!
Looking forward to watching him play in Antigonish, NS, tomorrow.
What a great concert he put on here in Antigonish
Max Webster was a big influence on me as a kid, great musicians, great guitar playing, he such an underrated guitar player!
Even the great Paul Gilbert said Kim Mitchell was an important influence on him growing up.
he was shredding 50 years ago
FUUUUUUUICK I live 5 minutes from where this was and I had no idea they were playing the Sound of Music Festival 😤
I'm surprised I didn't hear it.
Even stars stomachs growl. Thx for posting this !
Kim Mitchell still sounds awesome and Peter Fredette is one of the best back up voices there is.
TERRIFIC video Pete!!! Was so bummed that I wasn't able to make this show.
I went the night before to see road apples, who tribute with Carl Dixon and then chilliwack who were incredible. Wish I had seen Kim too
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Peter is crazy talented , kim made a smart decision partnering with him. Kim's reputation helped Peter find fame,so worked for him too.
They still sound great!
What an awesome performance.
So nice to see a performance where you're almost 100 percent sure there are no digital toys correcting pitches.
It's a crime that Kim Mitchell didn't "make it" out of Canada. American's would have loved the Mitchell.
I'm in Minnesota and have loved Kim since the Max Machine days - sure wish I could see him play sometime.
@@aliensporebomb He tours Canada regularly during the summer months.
America doesn't deserve Kim Mitchell
I remember seeing "Go For A Soda" on an episode of Miami Vice. Probably Kim's peak stateside.
I'm in Pittsburgh, and if it wasn't for Trailer Park Boys, I would have forgotten about him entirely.
OUR--Guy..🙏🏻🙏🏻🇨🇦🙏🏻🙏🏻..!!
Tha Max Machine always takes me back to high school, but I cant believe he didnt play Go for soda !
He did, but I didn't film it.
Pete still killing it..
wow he has still got it!
Kimbo! Alogo! TORONTO TONTOS RULE!!!!
Great video Pete wonder why the light man didn’t turn up the front lights hardly at all
Universal Juveniles what a great album, still holds up today. "She's hiding out at Lake Louise"
Great Album!
Great show!!!
Nice 👍
Awesome grew up on Max Webster 🙂
The guy yelling "Let's go!!" repeatedly and "We've still got 10 minutes!" at the end needs a slap.
Right behind me. He was quieter during the show!
@@PETEDOVEPIX I've dealt quickly and harshly with dolts like that yelling at me on stage.

😂👎🤡
Keyboardist has some serious chops.
I like to see paul gilbert sit dpwn interview with Kim. Hes a big fan.
Love me some Kim. Since I saw him with Max, UFO, Rush.
Saw Kim at the Gasworks. 1977 I think. To drunk that night to remember exactly what happened. We did buy the band a round however. Great band, a guy jumping around on stage in fluorescent pyjamas, incredible night.
Sarnia's greatest export to the world.😎
👍👍🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦👍✌️
Max at the Coronet Motor Hotel,,, need I say more
35:00 He's still got it.
Back up singer. It' is now and always will be up to the back up singer to make any song right of any group.
The great Peter Fredette has been Kim Mitchell's right hand man for decades.
Sharper than ever
He’s n ver sounded better. Wow! This is highly unusual to remain that healthy and good. Kim is an unsung hero, monster guitarist/singer
I just went for a soda.
I’ve seen Kim Mitchell 5 times more than any other band just beating April wine at 4
Almost 61 and still living among the cats.
Kim still bringing tight guitar licks....
Is that Peter on Bass Guitar?
Yes, Peter Fredette.
The only band that changed their name mid stream. Hey Max Webster, Never mind. Kim Mitchell
No Patio Lanterns?
It was performed but not filmed.
@@PETEDOVEPIX thanks for sharing
What the hell? A Telecaster? All those years never saw him with a tele.
Go for Soda, and Patio Lanterns?
They were both played live at this show, but I didn't film them.
lighting ????
???? Are you talking about the light streams at the beginning and then never used again for the entire show?
What! Where?
Just my impression but Blinded By The Light was a big middle finger to people with a quarter the talent.
Holy f*ck, I hate the phones! You'd think the fans would F off with that punk sh*t.
Why no Go for Soda?
I try to film songs that aren't the hits. I have those on video from other performances. Plus, my arm gets tired!
No Go For Soda!!..... My absolute favourite of Kim's...dissapointed...still kicks ass though!
I promise to film the hits next time!
Who knew Woody Harrelson played keyboards for Kim Mitchell.
Yup …just leave the boss in the dark … 🙀
love Kim and the band beyond belief....However, Blinding Lights was not a great choice
patio lanterns ?
Played but not filmed.
No go for a soda , no patio lanterns? Come on Kim just play the hits lol
Yes, he did play those songs this night. I didn't film them.
pretty much all his songs are "hits"
Did people have to pay to see this ?
No
@@PETEDOVEPIX How cool is that Pete? No cost to see a legend like Kim Mitchell !!!
Man, that drummer is insanely good too !!! :O
He didn’t do his best songs. 😭
He did, but I didn't film them.
Holy crap. They sound as good as back in the old days. The whole band is super tight and Kim is such an awesome guitar player.
