I just got my car aligned at a shop since the steering wheel is misaligned and is about 10-degrees to the left. After alignment, it was still about the same. I would like to attempt to correct it via steering wheel adjustment. Would this procedure be adequate in doing so? Thanks bunch and God bless you!
+Rob Re Thank you for checking us out, and the feedback. We're glad to hear you were able to complete the replacement, and the information you provided will assist other viewers. 1aauto.com
Got it! Just watched a video. Keep the belt partially threaded, grip the wheel, brace your legs against the firewall or frame, and pull hard while wiggling side to side.
I don't really need most of the videos that I look up on TH-cam when I'm working on a car or a truck, I use them to make sure I have the tools I'll need & to find short cuts & tricks to get to hard to reach bolts, etc. But I can't find a video of replacing the column in an E150/250. I'm wondering if I really have to replace it or if there's a fix or something like that. Idk, I haven't done a column in about 20 yrs, back when I collected G Body cars.
Do you know if the air bag wires and the horn wires are separate? Also, do you know which color the horn wire is on the airbag itself? I’m trying to get horn functionality on on mine because i retro fit it on a 1995 ford OBS, but I don’t want the airbag to go off when I press the horn. Please help!!
I have all the buttons on my steering wheel, from on, off, res, set, cat, but none of them are responding. What can be the problem, is there a solution? Thank you.
Why easier no screws holding the airbag just clips thru a hole Don’t even need a 2 jaw puller. The steering wheel it’s got a notch change a carbor fiber flat bottom once
Would this be the same process if I’m having a clicking noise ? I replaced my steering shaft and believe I have a spring clicking type noise when turning any help is appreciated.
+Jerry Cremeans At this time we do not have any videos showing this installation but are always expanding our video library. We would suggest checking through some other TH-cam channels or forums for your vehicle.
did everything exactly how you did(replaced audio controls)as far as removal and re install but air bag light flashes! any help would be greatly appreciated!!
You may want to see if there's a broken wire on the clock spring in the steering wheel that triggers the air bag. If there's a broken wire on it, you may loose the steering wheel control functions, and usually it triggers the air bag light. Always remove the cables off of the battery and disable the power to the vehicle, whenever you work on anything electrical such as this. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
also the pattern of flashing by the airbag/seatbelt light is 1 flash with slight pause then 9 immediate flashes! what does that tell me? i will remove airbag again and see if by accident i left a wire loose or broken.thank you very much for any insight you may have.also videos are AWESOME, they have been very informative and helpful. thanks again!
+Chris Bryant Did you loosen the nut first and back it off a bit? This will let the wheel move once you start to pull on it. Otherwise, with the nut still on the steering wheel shaft. Carefully tap around the back of the wheel with a rubber mallet, this might help it brake free.
Con razón no pude quitar el volante se requiere de un extractor atornillable y gracias a tu vídeo pude guiarme más vale hacer las cosas bien . Saludos desde Argentina
I called my local auto parts store and asked for a 2 jaw puller and they said they have a 2 ton 2jaw puller. Is that the one I need? And also in your video I saw that your 2 jaw puller had something shiny at the tip on it when it connects to the steering wheel, what is that? Will I need that?
It may be a different procedure on your application. We currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking. 1aauto.com

I was wonder do you have to have that 2 jaw puller? And if so is there a size that is needed. Sorry newbie question.

Can I adjust the alignment of my steering wheel this way?
Lots of great information! I had a one less connection and I didn’t have to change the spring on my 2007
So you have to take off the wheel to get to the clock spring?
I have all the buttons on my steering wheel, from on, off, res, set, cat, but none of them are responding. What can be the problem, is there a solution? Thank you.
How different is the 2012 wheel to replace? Tx.
