Only video on internet which actually HELPS people to travel and not just show off what they are doing! Amazing channel sir.keep it up. Waiting for new destinations.
First of all thank you Himanshu from bottom of my heart for such appreciation..!! And yes you got it exactly right. This is the main aim I always kept in mind while opening the channel, that here you will not see any cinematic footage or any other kind of luxury 4k quality video of a destination to just mesmerize you or just to feel WOW by seeing the video.. I feel that type of contents are good but they are only for entertainment purpose. I want to create travel content which should relate to somebody who is willing to travel to that particular destination, and my video should help them in every step to complete their tour of that destination in a easy and BUDGETED manner. And when I see such comments, it really makes me feel like I am achieving my goal slowly and steadily.😊✌️ So stay tuned, be connected and keep supporting like this.. and i guarantee that this channel will never let your hope down in terms of meaningful travel content creation.. Thank you once again Himanshu🤗👍🏼

Wonderful informative and detailed. I like your style of presentation. Am going there on 10 Jan to 12 Jan. Your blog will be useful. Please mention about electric bike, is it available now?
Yes you can avail e-bikes on rental. One of the options which I know is "Good Earth Bike Rental". This guy doesn't have a physical shop, but you can call him in these numbers 074021 63960 094874 36641 098426 61147 And they will provide you bike delivery at your stay area and also pick it up during return. Cycles will cost you around Rs 50 per day and e-bikes will cost around Rs. 400 per day. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Thank you very much Shweetha for your appreciating words and for liking the video. Keep watching and keep supporting Travel Yatra for more of such contents. Thank you once again 🙂👍🏼
Thank you very much once again Kamal for your comment and liking my videos. Please support and stay tuned for more of such informative videos. Thank you 😊👍🏼
I pressed like button on behalf of my mother 🙂 Please count this 👍 from my side. Again a super informative video... I am researching about Auroville for last 3 months but I did not know about "daily schedule". Again I have a question. If somebody is travelling on ECR (using public transport) and gets down at ECR - Auroville junction, then what are the options available (auto/ e-rikshaw) to reach campus/ visitor's centre from that point? I am asking this because on the website of Auroville, they have asked people to book their transport system as it is safer & cheaper and my feeling says that its going to be expensive than the local autos etc. What do you say?
Thanks to you and your mom from my side also for watching and liking this Auroville tour video..😊 Please share the videos with your friends and groups or who are planning to travel to these places. And Yes you are right, if you come by bus no. 188 from Chennai, then you have to get down at Auroville junction. TNSTC buses stops at this place. So no need to book any expensive transport. Just get down from TNSTC buses at Auroville junction. Just for your convenience I am giving you the location link where you have to get down. maps.app.goo.gl/EBR8m8cYmEhZyoE3A Now there is a bus from Pondicherry bus stand to Auroville everyday at 7:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm. So if your timings matches with it, then you can wait here for the bus. It will be the most budgeted option to travel, or another best option is to take a auto from there which will charge you 100 to 150 rupees and you can easily reach Auroville. Third option which I tried once is, if you are a solo traveller, then you can hitchhike by just taking lift from people who are going that way. Because in this route 90% people are tourist and they goes to Auroville only. And most of them go by their rented scooty. So anybody who is riding solo, can give you lift and you will reach Auroville in no time and no cost😀 So hope this will help you in you trip planning. Thank you once again Kanupriya 🙂👍🏼
Very informative video! I'm planning to go to auroville in February. Is that the best season to go?, And can you suggest the best way to reach auroville from Chennai... I mean is it best to go by bus or train and how to go? It would be really helpful. And it is so kind of you to reply and clarify all comments.😌
Hello Ramya, The best season to visit Auroville will be January, February and even the first 2 to 3 weeks of March. But after that summer starts, and then later after August monsoon starts. And to reach Auroville the best option from Chennai is by bus. You can take TNSTC bus no. 188 from Chennai, which goes till Pondicherry and it takes around 3 to 4 hours. Board that bus from "Chennai CMBT" or "Guindy" or "trivanmyur", and just get down at the Auroville bus stand. (No advance bus booking required) And then from Auroville bus stand the auro campus is 6 to 7 km. So there you have to take an auto which will take around 150 rupees. (For more details I have made a travel video in my Mahabalipuram series, that how to reach Chennai to mahabalipuram easily by bus. So just check that and follow the same procedure, but the only thing is that in the video I told you to get down at mahabalipuram, but in your have continue the bus travel till Auroville and get down at Auroville bus stand. Hope you got a better idea now. Thank you 😊👍🏼
There is a link in the description of this video with all the saty option list inside Auroville. You can check that, and if you are travelling as a family, then go for cottages with Wi-Fi and other facilities. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Every point are explained detaily well I think we won’t get this much information if we gone there directly thank you for the information you have been given to make our vacation easy😊 having a small doubt is Wi-Fi available over their
Thank you very much for your encouraging comment. Its really motivate us to work further in this manner when we (as a content creator) see such comments. Regarding Wi-Fi, you will not get any common Wi-Fi inside Auroville but if you stay there, then some of the rooms have Wi-Fi access (not all rooms). Thank you once again 🙂👍
So I listened to entire video..very informative no doubts there. My query is what if I offer my skills and services to 3 most important areas ( Yoga, kindergarten & kitchen ) from the day one for 1 month do I still have to pay for stay and food? Let me know your views on it although I will call and write to them as well. Thanks much!
Hi Kumar, In your case I think you don't have to pay on a per day or monthly basis for food and accommodation. But initially they will take a minimal amount just as a joining fee. Not much sure but a few years back one of my colleague also visited for a month for yoga practice and meditation course type of thing, for which he just paid an initial amount and continued the same. Hope this information helps you, but still from their help center you will get exact details as per their current scenario. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Thanks for this complete informative video, i hope that will make more detailed videos like this for another destinations, kindly let me about the sewa you told in the video as a part of daily schedule for guests and also suggest me to stay a good budget friendly with all amenities private accommodation to stay as i am planning to visit there with my wife in December this year and any other helpful tips for me , Regards Prabhjot Singh from Amritsar.
Hello Prabhjot ji, Thanks for watching the video and liking it. I will try to answer your queries:- For accommodation just check the link details below and see which stay option suits you the best and accordingly contact them and book the same. Guest Accommodation Service (From 9:30am - 12:30pm & 2 - 5pm) Ph: 0413-2622704 Guest accommodation in Auroville. guesthouses.auroville.org/ Now for sewa, there are two types. One is skilled sewa like if you have any special skill like you can organise some workshop or SUPW activity session for kids, or if you want to take a dance/acting/singing session or if you are a doctor, then any medical service of you want to provide or any other similar type of skilled service you can provide. PLEASE NOTE: For this type of skilled service you need to contact them in their help center in advance and get permission first. And second type of sewa is a general sewa. Like in their solar kitchen you can help them in various manner, or in the gardening part you can help them and so many similar things are there. (As you are from Amritsar, so you will know this type of sewas much better than me because in "Harmandir Sahib" generally we all get the opportunity to do this type of general sewa. I also visited Amritsar last February and experienced the food, gurdwara, Jalianwala, Attari bagha parade and many more. So overall it was a great great experience for us in Amritsar..) So I hope your both the queries are answered. Thank you very much 😊👍🏼✌️
Thanks a lot bro, I hope that by the grace of almighty I suppose to be in Auroville in December. kindly provide your valuable informative tips to follow before arriving at Auroville. Another information I would like to know that if any body is staying in Auroville guest house then can the guests are allowed to go outside to explore the Pondicherry? Secondly if somebody cannot ride bicycle then what is the alternative mode of transport to explore the Auroville? Regards Prabhjot Singh
Yes, you are allowed to go outside if you are staying as a guest. Only those who are staying there for some specific meditation courses and all, for them it's compulsory to follow their rules and regulations and they are not allowed. And regarding bicycles you can rent a bicycle too inside Auroville and roam around. They have bikes as well as bicycle rental options. You can talk in their helpdesk section for more details.. Thank you 😊👍
Depends on how many days you spend there. Minimum you have to stay three nights I think. So you can consider a budget less than 10k for a three to four day visit with a cottage type stay. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Thank you Vijitha for watching the video and appreciating the content quality. If you don't know to ride two wheeler, then also no problem. You have battery cars and small buses inside for matrimandir and other areas. Or after reaching any particular location, you can walk also to most of the places that are nearby to it. Or many people take lift from insiders and most of the time they are very humble to provide you lift on their way. Or you can find paid autos also in some places inside the Auro campus. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Oh.. is it? Thanks for this input Vijitha. If it's in description then surely I can edit, but inside the video nothing can be done except mentioning the correct ID in the comment with a correction note. Or let me see, I may have rights from TH-cam to blur that part alone I think. Thank you once again Vijitha 😊👍🏼
Thankyou so much sir for such wonderful detailed discription of Auroville . With the help of your video now things are looking very easy and approachable. Gratitude to you. I just have one query sir, how far is beach from this place n how to go there. If d guest is staying in Auroville, can they go out to visit nearby places.
Thanks to you Suchhita for liking the video and for your comment. The Auroville beach is just 6 to 7 km from the main auroville area. And you are always free to go there. There is no restriction from Auro management for guests. Thank you 😊👍
Sir if we book to stay near beach guest houses how do we commute to matrimandir. Plz help on this. Do they provide any pick or drop facility or any paid service for same
I think near the beach area, auroville doesn't have their property for stay. In that case you can book a regular beach resort from any online hotel booking website. So if you stay near the beach, then there will be no transport facility from the auroville side. You have to hire an auto or cab (you can hire can online from ola or uber). Or you can catch the bus service which runs between pondicherry city to auroville, three times a day. First service is at morning around 7:30am then another at afternoon and finally last bus service at late evening (don't remember the exact bus timing, but you can check the exact timings in auroville website itself). Thank you 😊👍
Yes yes, it's there near Serenity beach. But I think for transport, there are no arrangements from Auroville side. You have to arrange it on your own. Even inside the Auroville campus also there are certain guest houses at very far distance from Matrimandir. In those cases also they arrange their own cycle or scooty rental for local travel. Thank you 😊👍
Hi Binata, If your are done with everything in Pondicherry then you can visit Pichhavaram which is just at few km distance from Pondicherry (near chidambaram). Thank you ☺️✌️
Yes for guests it's one or other way cash only. But for an Aurovillian, it's like an account number where monthly credits are accumulated and can be used for various things. So for them, it's not actual cash. It's a type or points or credits, which they redeem every time for any expenditure. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hello Suruchi, By train or by flight come to Chennai. And from Chennai to Mahabalipuram how you can reach very easily in just 90 rupees for that I have made a separate video (Chennai to Mahabalipuram travel) so please check the same. And the only difference in that video is that I told there to get down at Mahabalipuram, but in your case you should not get down there and you should come till Auroville in the same bus.) Thank you.😊👍
Hello Sunanda, I am also a travel enthusiast like you and don't operate any travel company. I travelled to these places last year and shared my experiences with you all. So I may not not be able to give you a trip package of 7 days, but i can guide you how to reach Auroville easily and in budget from Bangalore and how to explore Auroville and Pondicherry at a minimum expense. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hi Haryank, Yes, when you stay inside Auroville, then on the first day itself you will be briefed about all the workshops and activities going on at that time. And if you are willing and eligible then you can also participate and also if you want you can provide some type of sevas as per your talent and capabilities. Thank you 😊👍
Just by paying certain amount you cannot become aurovillian. By paying amount you can go for different courses, yoga and other activities which takes place there from time to time. But for an aurovillian you have to adapt in the environment. You have to understand the culture, stay there for months and give your seva or some special contribution. Then as per management decisions they will decide to select you or not as an aurovillian. Thank you 😊👍🏼
If I am visiting Auroville matri mandir as a tourist (not staying there), will I get access to Svaram (Sound Garden)? Is it on the way to Matri Mandir or is it totally separate area? Will I have to take a separate pass for the same? Please let me know as I am visiting Pondicherry next week. Thanks a lot
As a traveller if you are visiting, you can just go there and visit the sound garden without any pass or without any cost. Just you have to go there on times when its open. That's it. And the sound garden is not exactly near the matrimandir view point. But it's not too far. You can check the distance in Google map. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Generally if you are staying there, then Aurocard is required for any transaction inside Auroville. And for guests there are various cafes and restaurants inside, where a basic meal may cost you somewhere from 100 to 300 rupees (depending on type of venu). Thank you 😊👍🏼
Thanks for all the information. I saw that some guests house allow for 1 night booking also. And there are 4 types of accomodation (A, B, C, D). Can you give some idea on prices of accomodation based on these levels.. as they don't mention price on their website.
Hi Aleena, Depending on space & budget needs, accommodation in Auroville can be broadly divided into 4 categories :- A - basic : Capsules type accommodation and simple rooms. Shared bathroom. Suitable for student volunteers. B - standard : Simple rooms in brick with concrete or tiled roof. Shared bathroom. Rooms may have a fan. Some include access to a shared kitchen. C - good : Comfortable rooms with fans, mosquito protection, attached bathroom. A few have air conditioning. Some include access to a shared kitchen or include breakfast and dinner facilities. D - self-contained : Nicely furnished cottage or studio with attached bathroom and kitchen/kitchenette. Often with a veranda, balcony or garden. All rooms have fans and protective mesh on windows. A few have air conditioning. Daily rate may include breakfast, and laundry. Regarding the standard/good category I can give some idea that the cost will approximately vary around Rs.1000 to 1500 per night. But for any category stay, you can just put up a simple mail to the given email ID and you will get reply with all details very easily. Thank you..
Hi friend, Auro card will be provided only if we stay inside Auroville. As per my knowledge for single day visitors it is not available. ( you can cross check once by calling or mail to visitor center) So when you book your stay, then on arrival at visitor center, there only they will give you the card or sometime you get the card after check-in into your room directly by the memebers who mange the staying property. Hope this solves your query. Thank you once again 🙂👍🏼
Yes you can use your phone in the campus (only not allowed inside Matrimandir). And there is good network inside. So you will not face any problem for your mobile connectivity in Auroville. Thank you 😊👍
@@TravelYatraVlog Thanks for your prompt response 🙋♀️ I'm planning to go there for quite a long time and searching for more and more information on Auroville 🤷♀️ In case of further query, I'll message you in future too...
I am looking to stay at Auroville for a week. Inquired about one guest house where they replied saying it's not available on the dates I want. Who can I contact, to make sure I get a comfortable stay on the dates I want to visit at some other guest house?
Hi Niki, For how many days you told them about your stay? Generally they don't allow stays less than three days. And you can also tell them that your dates are flexible and your duration of stay can also be adjusted as per availability, and then see what they reply to you. And for more details, you can contact in their visitors center number and tell them about your problem. They will surely try to help you out. Thank you 😊👍
what kind of sea is expected if we stay there and if 6 pm is dinner, is it provided or we can go and eat in any of the cafes? Please do reply, I am already booked for Auroville and would want to know.
Oh it it? Maybe there is some change in their domain. Because I uploaded this video almost more than a year back. I will check the same and update in the description. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Pehle temporary stay karna hai, samjhna hai unke ecosystem ko, unke taur tarike adapt karna hai, then the management will decide for further stay and aurovillian. You can contact the help desk number of auroville for more information. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hey, thank you for your information but I want some assistance because I want to stay for 2 months there can you assist me with that. Regards, Rishikesh Rao Namineni
Hello Rishikesh, For two months stay you can just contact their visitors center number and tell you dates of stay. They will send you with options or you can also go to their accommodation portal directly ( links are in description) and select whichever type of stay you want, and mail/call them directly in their given details in that specific accommodation. Then they will provide you with necessary information within one or two working days. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hi Soham, you can take bus no. 188 which goes from Chennai to pondicherry via mahabalipuram. And get down near Auroville area. From there you can take a auto to go inside. And also there are buses from Pondicherry bus stand to Auroville everyday at 7:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm. so you can go to Pondy bus stand and take these buses also to reach Auroville. Hope this solves your query. Thank you once again Soham😊👍🏼
Hi Shyamali, What was the reason that you were not able to go inside matrimandir? I think you have not registered in advance.. No issues.. next time once again you can plan for Pondy visit 🤗✌️
They have e-vehicles as well as free bus services for specific areas inside the campus. So you can take that. And you can have hired autos also inside for certain areas. So just when you go to the help center area at the main entrance, there they will guide you properly for stay, sightseeing, food, travel and everything. They have all facilities inside. Thank you 😊👍
No, as a guest if you are staying then there is no restriction. Only those who come for any specific course like meditation or any other course, they have to follow their proper schedule and routine. Thank you 😊👍🏼
You can visit matrimandir and meditate there.. Moreover you can ask in the help center while entering, and if there is any specific workshop going on for meditation classes and other related events, then they will inform you. Thank you 😊👍🏼
That means you want a cottage stay. In the description I have given the direct link of Auroville stay booking via their own website, where you will see many stays like cottages and few more. There Check the details and contact them via mail or call in the number given in that website. And then proceed for your booking. Remember a minimum 3 nights booking is required. (Check the hotel booking link from the description) Thank you.
HI ... Is one day acomodation no available in Aurovil ? i seen some beach guest house where accomodation for day available? if I get a nice beach access hut/cottage i can avail for 2-3 night...I drop message to them in enq form yesterday but no reply...number also not registered when i called ... plz help here
As per my knowledge, single day accommodation is not available in Auroville. If the guest house number is not connecting, You can always contact the Auroville Visitors Centre number. (Details in video description) Thank you 😊👍
Yes Kaushal, There are many cottages inside the campus where you can stay with your family. (Minimum stay should be for 3 nights.) And the bookings for these stays cannot be done from any random online hotel booking website. You have to go to the accommodation portal link of Auroville website page, where you can see all these cottages and other stay options in one place with their owner contact and another details. So you can book it from there or you can contact the visitor centre directly and book the stays in advance. (All inks are given in the description of this video) Thank you.
Sirf paise dekar hum auroville mein parmanent nahin reh sakte. Initially you may need to put some money to stay inside the campus but slowly slowly as you adapt their culture and the environmen, then you will start earning from there and then no need of money. But for that, they have to accept you first and you have to provide some kind of Seva to the community. For more details you can mail or call in the help desk number of Auroville and get complete information about how to become a permanent resident or an Aurovillian. Thank you 😊👍🏼
If you want to stay inside Auroville, then there are few options for which you can get details from their help desk details that I have given in the description. But as a solo backpack traveller if you want to explore the place, then there are many hostel options in the Pondy area.
Hello Ramkumar Ji, You can become an aurovillian but there are certain things to follow for that. Just by paying certain amount you or by doing certain formalities you cannot become aurovillian. For an aurovillian you have to adapt in the environment. You have to understand the culture, stay there for months and give your seva or some special contribution. Then as per management decisions they will decide to select you or not as an aurovillian. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Yes, ho sakte hai. And they are known as "Aurovillian". For becoming an Aurovillian, there is NO fixed procedure or any formalities which if you just fulfill then you can rite-way stay there permanently. For becoming an aurovillian, there is a process. Even just by paying a certain amount also you cannot become aurovillian. For an aurovillian initially they will permit you to stay for a short duration (by paying some amount), then you have to adapt in the environment. You have to understand the culture, stay there for months and give your seva or some special contribution. Then as per management decisions they will decide to select you or not as an aurovillian. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Yes, you can stay inside auroville. They have various cottages and other stay options. You can call or mail their visitors center and get more details on it. Thank you 😊👍
There are so many things inside Auroville. So if you are planning to cover everything in one day, then you CANNOT 😌 But if you have planned for one day, then you can visit at least the main places like Matrimandir and then the sound garden, solar kitchen and a few more nearby things. Thank you 😊👍
Hi Sunyana, If you want to stay inside auroville, then just mail or call at their visitor centre (details given in the video description) and get the current details and status. And if you want to stay in Pondy for one month (outside Auroville) then there are plenty of options. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Abhi ka exact idea nahi hai, but as per current rules you will get all these information from the visitors center, as soon as you reach their entrance. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Generally for one month stay you have to provide some services to the auro society or else if you are enrolled in some courses, then you will be able to stay there for a month. So for that you need to check the availability of courses with them by calling or mailing them in their official email or by direct enquiry from the help centre of Auroville. Thank you 😊👍
Hi Anuj, There is no fixed rule or any criteria for becoming an Aurovillian. Pehle temporary stay karna hai, samjhna hai unke ecosystem ko, unke taur tarike adapt karna hai, then the management will decide for further stay and aurovillian. You can contact the help desk number of auroville for more information. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Aap pehle temporary visit kijiye aur kuch din stay kijiye. (This will be at your own cost) then you have to provide some "seva" there in terms of any volunteer service. And then you can talk to them for further process and other formalities for becoming an Aurovillian. Thank you 😊👍
Hi Kamal, If you want to visit pondicherry from Chennai then just check my another video of Pondicherry tour itinerary, where I have mentioned how to visit in just 150 rupees from Chennai. Thanks you 😊👍🏼
Hi Kanchan, For being a permanent residence in auroville you have to talk to the management only. They have a big pdf which is available on their website. Just check all those criteria. And if you fulfill everything then only you can become a permanent resident of a auroville.
Hello Hema, An approximate estimation for a one month stay in Auroville can be calculated as follows:- Accomodation: Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month depending on desired standard of living and guesthouse availability. Check Guest Houses dedicated website: [ guesthouses (dot) auroville (dot) org ] Food expense: Rs. 5,000 to Rs 10,000 per month depending on your diet and whether you cook at the guest house or eat out. Internal Transportation: ▪️Two wheeler (rent+petrol) Rs. 2,700 to 3,000 per month ▪️E-cycles Rs. 1800 to 3,300 per month ▪️Bicycle Rs. 750 per month Hope the above information helps you. And you can also get these details on the official website of Auroville. And for more clarification you can call their help desk and get details. Thank you once again Hema 😊👍🏼
Check the below website you will get all stay options with contact details. And then you can contact them to get the exact pricing as per your stay. guesthouses (dot) auroville (dot) org Thank you 😊👍🏼
Food prices in various cafes in Auroville is Ok but if you compare it from outside, it's on a bit higher side. For example, a coffee in most cafes will cost you around 50 rupees. And a veg bowl may cost around 150 to 200 rupees. In solar kitchen and all you will get veg meals (only in the afternoon between 12:30 to 1:30) and foebthat you have to pay only using Aurocard or you have to take token from the help center area. So I hope now you got an idea about the types of foods and their prices inside the auro campus. Thank you 😊👍🏼
You can check the cost of various cottages in their accommodation link (given in description) And please note that the minimum stay option is for 3 days I think. So for one night you cannot book. (Not sure if the current rules changes) so please check in their portal directly. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hello Kamal, If you want to stay inside auroville then you have to contact the visitor centre of auroville via mail or call (check description for the Auroville visitor center details). But if you want to stay in Pondicherry and want to visit Auroville, then there are plenty of options in the Pondy area nearby the bus stand, where you can get single rooms or dormitories for even just 200 to 300 rupees per day. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Sure Riya, Will try to help you. First of all you want to just visit this place as a day trip or stay? For just a visit, no need for anything. You can come anytime (7am to 5pm) from Monday to Saturday (and Sunday is half day) and visit whatever place you want inside the Auroville. And for the stay option inside Auroville, you have to stay for three nights minimum. And for room booking you cannot do it online from any random hotel booking website. For all details You have to contact their visitor centre directly or via mail or via call you can communicate with them. And for booking there is a direct Auroville stay booking website also from where you can contact the property owner of Aurorville and directly book the hotel stay inside auro campus. (Website links are in the description of the video) Hope this information helps you. Thank you once again Riya 😊✌️
Fir Indians and other country citizens there are separate rule and procedure to become an Aurovillian. Regarding this you can get complete details here :- www.auroville.org/page/joining-Auroville Thank you 😊👍🏼
Only video on internet which actually HELPS people to travel and not just show off what they are doing!
And when I see such comments, it really makes me feel like I am achieving my goal slowly and steadily.😊✌️
So stay tuned, be connected and keep supporting like this.. and i guarantee that this channel will never let your hope down in terms of meaningful travel content creation..

This guy doesn't have a physical shop, but you can call him in these numbers
074021 63960
094874 36641
098426 61147
And they will provide you bike delivery at your stay area and also pick it up during return.
Cycles will cost you around Rs 50 per day and e-bikes will cost around Rs. 400 per day.

Just for your convenience I am giving you the location link where you have to get down.
maps.app.goo.gl/EBR8m8cYmEhZyoE3A
Now there is a bus from Pondicherry bus stand to Auroville everyday at 7:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm.
So anybody who is riding solo, can give you lift and you will reach Auroville in no time and no cost😀
So hope this will help you in you trip planning.
Hello Ramya,
The best season to visit Auroville will be January, February and even the first 2 to 3 weeks of March.
(No advance bus booking required)
And then from Auroville bus stand the auro campus is 6 to 7 km.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Ham log Diwali vacation me aurovil ghumne jana hain aurovil ke andar kan sa guest house cheaf and acha rahega
Hi Kumar,
In your case I think you don't have to pay on a per day or monthly basis for food and accommodation.
Hello Prabhjot ji,
Thanks for watching the video and liking it.
I will try to answer your queries:-
For accommodation just check the link details below and see which stay option suits you the best and accordingly contact them and book the same.
Guest Accommodation Service
(From 9:30am - 12:30pm & 2 - 5pm)
Ph: 0413-2622704
Guest accommodation in Auroville.
guesthouses.auroville.org/
Now for sewa, there are two types.
So overall it was a great great experience for us in Amritsar..)
So I hope your both the queries are answered.
Thank you 😊👍
Grt information. What will be the minimum price for one person for a decent stay, food and aroville all-spot visit.
Depends on how many days you spend there. Minimum you have to stay three nights I think.
So you can consider a budget less than 10k for a three to four day visit with a cottage type stay.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Thank you sir ji
Thank you for watching the video and for your love & support my friend 😊👍🏼
Lovely video and great information.. Exactly what i was looking for.. One stupid question if u dont know to ride a bicylcle how will u travel inside 😅
Thank you 😊👍🏼
@@TravelYatraVlog thank you so much
I just noticed a spelling mistake on the email ID provided for matrimandir booking. I m not sure if u can update now ( Auroville spelling )
Oh..
Thank you 😊👍
Quiet healing centre is it not d part of auroville
Yes yes, it's there near Serenity beach.
But I think for transport, there are no arrangements from Auroville side. You have to arrange it on your own.
Even inside the Auroville campus also there are certain guest houses at very far distance from Matrimandir. In those cases also they arrange their own cycle or scooty rental for local travel.
Thank you 😊👍
We want to travel some places beyond aurovil.. please suggest...visited all places in Pondicherry
Hi Binata,
If your are done with everything in Pondicherry then you can visit Pichhavaram which is just at few km distance from Pondicherry (near chidambaram).
Thank you ☺️✌️
Thanks for such a helpful video. Phones and wifi work here?
Yes yes,
All phones will work properly. No issues in it🙂👍🏼
Room charge is high...top up karna hai auro card...so that is currency 💲 only
Yes for guests it's one or other way cash only.
But for an Aurovillian, it's like an account number where monthly credits are accumulated and can be used for various things.
So for them, it's not actual cash. It's a type or points or credits, which they redeem every time for any expenditure.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hi, I need information on the best way to reach auroville from Delhi.
Hello Suruchi,
By train or by flight come to Chennai.
And from Chennai to Mahabalipuram how you can reach very easily in just 90 rupees for that I have made a separate video (Chennai to Mahabalipuram travel) so please check the same.
And the only difference in that video is that I told there to get down at Mahabalipuram, but in your case you should not get down there and you should come till Auroville in the same bus.)
Thank you.😊👍
Do you take the trip of 7 days to Auroville from Bangalore? I am interested.
Hello Sunanda,
I am also a travel enthusiast like you and don't operate any travel company. I travelled to these places last year and shared my experiences with you all.
So I may not not be able to give you a trip package of 7 days, but i can guide you how to reach Auroville easily and in budget from Bangalore and how to explore Auroville and Pondicherry at a minimum expense.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Even I am from Bangalore and I want to visit here after 22nd Dec.
Great 👍
Hi. Great video. I have a doubt. Can visitors who book guesthouse in Auroville take part in the activities and workshops?
Hi Haryank,
Yes, when you stay inside Auroville, then on the first day itself you will be briefed about all the workshops and activities going on at that time. And if you are willing and eligible then you can also participate and also if you want you can provide some type of sevas as per your talent and capabilities.
Thank you 😊👍
Thanks for detailed information. How much maximum amount to spend to be an aurovillian
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Aurovil me daily schedule me jo breakfast lunch reheta hai hum log kitna pay karke kha sakte hain
Hi Aleena,
Depending on space & budget needs, accommodation in Auroville can be broadly divided into 4 categories :-
A - basic : Capsules type accommodation and simple rooms.
Thank you..
From where can i get aurocard
Hi friend,
Auro card will be provided only if we stay inside Auroville.
As per my knowledge for single day visitors it is not available. ( you can cross check once by calling or mail to visitor center)
So when you book your stay, then on arrival at visitor center, there only they will give you the card or sometime you get the card after check-in into your room directly by the memebers who mange the staying property.
Hope this solves your query.
Thank you once again 🙂👍🏼
I want you to recommend stay facilities for gals
Inside Auroville you can check the individual cottages. That will be the best option I feel ☺️👍
How the people who don't know cycling, can visit the different places in the Auroville.
In such case they can walk upto certain points. And in certain areas battery operated cars and paid autos are also available 😊👍🏼
Can we use our phone inside auroville? Phone internet works? Or any wifi services
Yes you can use your phone in the campus (only not allowed inside Matrimandir). And there is good network inside. So you will not face any problem for your mobile connectivity in Auroville.
Thank you 😊👍
Four wheelers allowed or not, please let me know....
Very informative vlog....
Hello Suhashini,
If you come by your own four wheeler or two wheeler, then you have to park it in the parking area near the Visitor center.
Thank you.
@@TravelYatraVlog Thanks for your prompt response 🙋♀️ I'm planning to go there for quite a long time and searching for more and more information on Auroville 🤷♀️ In case of further query, I'll message you in future too...
Sure..😊👍🏼
I am looking to stay at Auroville for a week. Inquired about one guest house where they replied saying it's not available on the dates I want. Who can I contact, to make sure I get a comfortable stay on the dates I want to visit at some other guest house?
Hi Niki,
For how many days you told them about your stay? Generally they don't allow stays less than three days. And you can also tell them that your dates are flexible and your duration of stay can also be adjusted as per availability, and then see what they reply to you.
And for more details, you can contact in their visitors center number and tell them about your problem. They will surely try to help you out.
Thank you 😊👍

It's working.

what kind of sea is expected if we stay there and if 6 pm is dinner, is it provided or we can go and eat in any of the cafes? Please do reply, I am already booked for Auroville and would want to know.
also checked the accomadation, website doesn't open.
You can go to any cafe and take your dinner as per your wish. No restriction in it when you are coming as a guest to explore the Auroville.
Oh it it? Maybe there is some change in their domain. Because I uploaded this video almost more than a year back.
I will check the same and update in the description.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
If we take three days accommodation so can we go out side of auroville ? Or have to visit only perticular area
No restriction.
You will be the guest for them and You can go anywhere you want.

Thank you very much for your appreciation 💗😊👍
Please make a video how to be an aurovillion

Sar hamen aurvalle Mein hamesha ke liye rukna hai to kya karna padega
Pehle temporary stay karna hai, samjhna hai unke ecosystem ko, unke taur tarike adapt karna hai, then the management will decide for further stay and aurovillian.
You can contact the help desk number of auroville for more information.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Hey, thank you for your information but I want some assistance because I want to stay for 2 months there can you assist me with that.
Regards,
Rishikesh Rao Namineni
Hello Rishikesh,
For two months stay you can just contact their visitors center number and tell you dates of stay. They will send you with options or you can also go to their accommodation portal directly ( links are in description) and select whichever type of stay you want, and mail/call them directly in their given details in that specific accommodation. Then they will provide you with necessary information within one or two working days.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
how to reach Auroville from mahabalipuram
Hi Soham,
you can take bus no.
আমার খুব আফশোশ থেকে গেল,যে আমরা মাতৃমন্দিরের ভিতর যেতে পারি নি
Hi Shyamali,
What was the reason that you were not able to go inside matrimandir?
I think you have not registered in advance..
No issues.. next time once again you can plan for Pondy visit 🤗✌️
Thank you
I hv knee problems, I can't cycle or ride scooty, so how can I commute inside?
They have e-vehicles as well as free bus services for specific areas inside the campus. So you can take that. And you can have hired autos also inside for certain areas.
So just when you go to the help center area at the main entrance, there they will guide you properly for stay, sightseeing, food, travel and everything. They have all facilities inside.
Thank you 😊👍
@@TravelYatraVlog thanks 🙏
If we avail guest house from Auroville.. do they guide us ? Do we need to follow their routine?
No, as a guest if you are staying then there is no restriction.
Only those who come for any specific course like meditation or any other course, they have to follow their proper schedule and routine.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Thanks! So we can go for meditation? Can you please share details?
You can visit matrimandir and meditate there..
Moreover you can ask in the help center while entering, and if there is any specific workshop going on for meditation classes and other related events, then they will inform you.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
@@TravelYatraVlog - thanks 🙏
i want to book single room with no sharing. how to do that kindly guide
(Check the hotel booking link from the description)
Thank you.
(Details in video description)
Thank you 😊👍
Is family accommodation available here ...if yes Pl det
Yes Kaushal,
There are many cottages inside the campus where you can stay with your family.
(Minimum stay should be for 3 nights.)
And the bookings for these stays cannot be done from any random online hotel booking website.
You have to go to the accommodation portal link of Auroville website page, where you can see all these cottages and other stay options in one place with their owner contact and another details. So you can book it from there or you can contact the visitor centre directly and book the stays in advance.
(All inks are given in the description of this video)
Thank you.
Auraville me hamesa ke rehna ho to kitna kharcha lagta he muje Auraville ki sari jankari de sakte he

Kya hum wahan ka citizen le sakte hai
Hello Ramkumar Ji,
You can become an aurovillian but there are certain things to follow for that.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
Sir Aurowill me settle ho sakte hai

Generally for one month stay you have to provide some services to the auro society or else if you are enrolled in some courses, then you will be able to stay there for a month.
So for that you need to check the availability of courses with them by calling or mailing them in their official email or by direct enquiry from the help centre of Auroville.
Thank you 😊👍
@@TravelYatraVlog and buget kitna banaka chalna ho ga
It depends upon the type of course available.

How can I stay permanently in aurovilla??
Please suggest me
Hi Anuj,
There is no fixed rule or any criteria for becoming an Aurovillian.
Pehle temporary stay karna hai, samjhna hai unke ecosystem ko, unke taur tarike adapt karna hai, then the management will decide for further stay and aurovillian.
You can contact the help desk number of auroville for more information.
Thank you 😊👍🏼
But hmesha ke liye kese jaau rhne
Aap pehle temporary visit kijiye aur kuch din stay kijiye. (This will be at your own cost) then you have to provide some "seva" there in terms of any volunteer service. And then you can talk to them for further process and other formalities for becoming an Aurovillian.
Thank you 😊👍

Food prices?
Food prices in various cafes in Auroville is Ok but if you compare it from outside, it's on a bit higher side.
For example, a coffee in most cafes will cost you around 50 rupees. And a veg bowl may cost around 150 to 200 rupees.
In solar kitchen and all you will get veg meals (only in the afternoon between 12:30 to 1:30) and foebthat you have to pay only using Aurocard or you have to take token from the help center area.
So I hope now you got an idea about the types of foods and their prices inside the auro campus.
Thank you 😊👍🏼

And please note that the minimum stay option is for 3 days I think. So for one night you cannot book.
