wow that game was AMAZING!! The bulls with mj, scottie dennis, toni, and steve. Really had a whole team with talent close to all-star level....excellent editing and awesome upload!!!
He just wasn't consistent enough. On some nights he could be crazy good, and he'll go down as one of the better sixth men ever, but the difference between that and a legitimate all-star is consistency, and that's what Kukoc lacked.
4:28 leaves me speechless.. Hitting a fadeaway is enough of a challenge in itself let alone turning around IN THE AIR before doing it! When he left the ground he had his back to the basket. And what an arc he put on that one too.. Thanks for the up baldheadkid
nice upload, i finally found that fast break by pippen in the 95-96 bulls championship video @ 1:50. Rodman's turn around pass the ball in mid air to pippen, and then pippen the fake and lay it up.
Just to give some perspective of how good this Orlando team was wit Shaq&Penny. They won 60 Game's that season and Shaq missed 29 Game's due to injury.
but do someone mention penny...i really love this guy...he is so tough to guard by jordan and pippen...i always put him next to jordan..because he almost play like jordan..before i said to myself.if jordan will retire,i will go to penny..but the problem is.,he got knee injury so early...i really feel so bad to this guy..remember his tv promotios.he is strarting to be so famous..but shaquil oneal leave them and went to lakers..then suddenly itall went down for penny.he got knee injury and traded..everything just went wrong...but if oneal did not go lakers..im sure they beat bulls in the previous years.
They specifically got Harper to counter that big Magic back court Penny and Nick Anderson. Both MJ and Pip have a hard time against a really skilled and very smart Penny Hardaway who can do it all. This Bulls team is the best of all-time, No one comes close.
+Tamila 86 Celtics is one of the best of all-time but it would be a very hard choice the between them and the 96 bulls. It wasn't weak, that bulls team was so great that it made everyone look weak. Penny Hardaway could have HoF status. He is long, athletic, superior IQ, ballhandling skills, etc in the mold of players like Oscar, and a younger Tracy Mcgrady.
+Tamila In this game you can see 5 HoF calibre talent. MJ, Pip, Shaq, Rodman, and Penny (if he didnt get injured he is a HoF calibre talent). Then you have all-star talent players in their younger days like Harper, kukoc, Anderson, and Grant. Plus you have 2 of the greatest shooters of all-time 3D and Kerr. All those in this game alone. I wouldnt really call this a watered down era.
BS! Just about every NBA team back then COULD beat the Bulls. You forget the Bulls lost 10 games and not all to Orlando. Even the Nuggets beat them. The NBA was STACKED backed then. On Any good night, any team could beat them, especially if they played well and the Bulls didn't.
wow that those times certainly Hardaway was my favorite player today do not think there is a player like Hardaway and Jordan playing with that elegance
When I see Golden State play and how good they are now, it makes me wonder what the Magic could've been. There's a whole lot of similarities regarding their styles.
man orlando's transition defence was horrendous. Penny and Shaq were so talented yet so undisciplined... if only they had a better coach who could have pushed them
+cupertinoish Good observation. They had the ability to play d and would've won that game but were young and needed a good coach, not a clueless coach like Brian Hill. He only rode talent while in Orlando. The Grizzlies made the mistaking of hiring him because of the hype of 'taking Orlando to the finals' and after he was let go there go, was never heard from again.
people said pippem shut down Penny no he didn't couldn't no one in the league guard Penny all these highlights are mostly catering to the Bulls but Shaq&Penny have them Headaches
B-dub was non stop highlights. His skill was overlooked because of all the other great players on the bulls, but on any other team he would have started and put up 20 & 10. He didn't get his own mcdonalds sandwich for nothing. I couldn't dunk until I ate a beef wennington, I ate one every day during the 95-96 season.
The bulls wasnt the best as far as Individual talent but with team chemistry it dont get no better when jordan an pippen were no longer with the bulls you never really heard about anyone on the bulls team anymore besides steve kerr but this is what you call a TEAM.
oh yes i remeber around 95' Jordan was having problems at home!!! But boy the 80's and 90's was the best years of BBall i think !!!!!you know seeing these great teams with 2 to 3 star players you got a show !!!! then when all star game come around everybody tunes in!!!!
+Domini478 Don't give us that excuse. MJ was BALLING and putting up big scoring numbers after he came back. He was ball hogging as always. They simply weren't as good before getting Rodman and Harper, before they got those two players the Magic had a better starting 5 that's why they beat the Bulls in 95
Everyone always talked about Pippen and Jordan, but those '96 Bulls would NOT have won 72 games without that large and underrated supporting cast. The addition of Rodman created the greatest defensive trio in the history of the game. Kukoc rarely got credit for his superb shooting, passing, and clutch play. Harper, Wennington, Longley, and Kerr upped their game playing alongside MJ. Also, the team had size; only Kerr was considered short at 6-3.with all the key players being 6-6 or taller.

It doesn't matter. He can score more than any and all of those guys combined. He's the best scorer of all time. You don't need handles or post-up skills to score, just will.
Both solid role players, nothing more. No-one is going to remember miller or chalmers on the heat in ten or twenty years, even though they are both good players that contribute to the team.
The 1996 Bulls front court doesn't get enough credit. They all look at Pippen and Jordan, but that front court had some amazing players, and mind you, none of them an American. Longley - Australian Wennington - Canadian Kukoc - Croatian Rodman - Alien
Back when the NBA was littered with the greatest players. Shaq, MJ, Penny, Pippen & Rodman. The only thing I could never understand with the NBA was the players never shook hands at the end of the game.

Chicago bulls surprised everybody by beating out the Orlando magics team that was the best team in the NBA at that time to move on to another 3 straight NBA championship trophies.
+Thu Nguyen Not really that surprising. The Bulls added two key players that season and were much deeper and had a veteran team. Magic had overall better starting 5 but were very young and Horace Grant got injured and didn't play after the first game, Penny already playing with knee problems, Bulls had a way better coach, Phil Jackson and added Rodman and Ron Harper - the real key to the Bulls success that year.
Tamila - uh no. This is such a common and ridiculous argument about the "expansion era". Go look at the number of 50 and 60 win teams of the expansion era. Marginal differences from the 80's. And most of these expansion teams became relevant quickly. There were simply more than enough players to go around as basketball and the NBA was just getting bigger. The biggest difference was that the stars of the 80's were older and great dynasties like the Lakers and Celtics were exactly that - old. They had already started diminishing in the late 80's and then Detroit took over. This idea that this Chicago team couldn't hang with their predecessors is laughable. 6 Championships with two three peats is more than anything done by either Boston or LA. Pat Riley himself, the coach of LA during Showtime, said of Chicago that they were the best team ever. But haters have to come up with nonsensical arguments.
Uh - the original poster is somewhat correct. This Orlando team had just beat Chicago the season before and had gone to the Finals. Chicago was winning like crazy but this wasn't the end of the season and they weren't the 72 win team just yet - everybody here is talking with the clarity of hindsight. Meanwhile, Orlando was not far behind Chicago in wins and they had the number 1 rated offense in the NBA at the time - this squad if coached better could have given Chicago a much harder time in the playoffs. But Chicago had the number one rated defense and as their playoff series against Orlando proved, defense wins championships - (at least before today's era of no defense and soft rules)
Orlando should've won that game, but that Bulls victory exposed Orlando's two main flaws: bad coach, and weak bench with nobody who was a real threat. Give the Magic a real NBA coach and guy who can shoot the ball off the bench like a Robert Horry OR a good defender to help out that second unit and the Bulls can't beat them. Penny and Shaq were playing lights out, despite Penny's knee problems which started a few months before that 1996 Magic-Bulls playoff series.
Hopefully with the new bulls Mike dunleavy jr will be the new kukoc and have that kind of impact for the bulls 2013-2014 should be a exciting season for us GOBULLS!

These Bulls' game was pure art.
fun to watch....I miss the 90's NBA
when Kukoc played well you can literally pen the win into the books for the Bulls
😏 True ✅
Penny was a beast man oh man
Toni Kukoc should have been at least once all-star,had he for any other team he would average 20 points,7,rb,7 as per game.
He Played for other teams though...
pretty sure there were always enough better players than Toni though...
During the 95-98 seasons he was among 24 best players in the League.
He just wasn't consistent enough. On some nights he could be crazy good, and he'll go down as one of the better sixth men ever, but the difference between that and a legitimate all-star is consistency, and that's what Kukoc lacked.
@@mikesannitti6042 Yep! I remember he missed liked 30 something three pointers in a row during the course of a couple of games in the playoffs.
Thanks for the upload! Should be called Jordan & Pippen ;) Pippen is one of the most underrated players.
Haha the crowd started whistling when they saw Shaq changing shorts lol.
LOL! Fun times. Great crowd!
Thanks. This is great. Star studded lineups. Even Longley was a stud. Harper and Grant were always under appreciated.

That dunk at 5:41 is one of his most underated dunks. He just explodes to the basket right over the top of Horace Grant. I love it!
Just to give some perspective of how good this Orlando team was wit Shaq&Penny. They won 60 Game's that season and Shaq missed 29 Game's due to injury.

I have nothing but respect for Jordan's effort because at 3:53 most players would have questioned whether or not to even challenge that play.
Can you imagine the damage this Orlando team would do in today's league???
