Bulls vs Jazz 1997 - Game 2 - Michael Jordan 38 points

  • In yet another magnificent performance in the NBA Finals, Michael Jordan fell just one assist shy of his first triple-double in a Finals game.
    MJ scored 38 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dropped nine dimes to lead the Bulls to a 97-85 win over the Utah Jazz in game two of the 1997 NBA Finals.
    Jordan's triple-double seemed like a sure thing after a pass late in the game to a wide open Scottie Pippen. Pip missed the layup, however, and Jordan finished with nine assists.
    Pippen had somewhat of an off night offensively, hitting just four of 13 shots for 10 points. Ron Harper scored 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting.
    The Jazz were led by Karl Malone's 20 points, followed by 19 from Jeff Hornacek and 14 from John Stockton.
    The Bulls took a 2-0 lead in the series and prepared to head to Utah for games 3, 4 and 5.

    That's the thing about Jordan, so many good games to choose from.

During the 90's all playoff teams were easily over 500 they had atleast 2 superstars in their respected teams e.i i mean Mo Williams last year made the playoffs what a freaking jobber! Sorry Kobe, The Queen, D. Wade, Melo, & Howard but your teams would not hang with the big boys in the 90's! Dont ever compare Kobe to MJ there's no comparison based on comp!

      @TomiAdewoleAdetom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Michael-ji8lu Indeed. I distinctly recall that single season he had and thinking "man we gotta keep this guy." About 7 years ago I delved into his heartbreaking story. It is a story of familial discord, spawned by the marked difference in talent between brothers, and exacerbated by a foolish mother (their mother always petitioned Bison Dele to give his brother money since he was the more successful brother by far). His brother would steal from him, forging his name to acquire gold coins, checks, etc. One day his brother (I think his name was Kevin) called Bison for help, and Dele invited him on his boat - where he was about to travel the world with his girlfriend. Kevin ended up killing them both in an unplanned fit of envy. A real tragedy.

He only had 4 in his career in the playoffs. Pippen was listed as having 7, while he too only had 4 in the playoffs. And Jordan had 2.
    Perhaps the regular statisticians were on strike, or else they were just plain stoned.
