This free video guitar lesson is for the beautiful fingerstyle guitar piece "Romance". It is very well known in the classical guitar world and is a great workout for using bar chords.
All of the video guitar lessons and TAB for this song can be found here: www.guitarlesso....
Take your time with the stretches, especially in the second half of the tune. Learn to adjust the pressure of the bar chord to be able to use as little pressure as possible in order for the notes to sound in the chord. As long as you are focused on minimal pressure it will eventually become second nature.
For the right hand, try and practice the arpeggio pattern by itself on open strings before adding the left hand. It is very important to get the prepared strokes down comfortably before putting the two hands together.
Have Fun with this beautiful piece!
Remember, your support at the main site www.GuitarLesso... is the only thing that makes these free video guitar lessons possible. Please go there and do what you can to support the site. Thanks!

A full year after starting to learn this piece I can finally play it. I can't believe I got here. If a clumsy-hands like me could do it, you can do it, just don't lose faith and keep practicing. It's going to be worth it!

Stopped at 8:36 thanks so much. This is my second classical guitar song, and I love that it's so easy! I got into classical guitar a week ago, and I just got a classical a few days ago. Love this type of music. Learning to be a more versatile player. I used to be a mainly rock, blues and jazz guy.

I'm a slow learner so I played this tutorial a minimum of 10x at half the normal speed. Then lo and behold! One fine, restful, day, I was blessed with the gift of understanding part 2 and actually having faith that, I can do this. I can't imagine how hard it is to do this intricate tutorial as smoothly as you have done. It's easy to blame my own impatience or lack of competency on the teacher, when in fact, all it takes is a passion for the music and a lesson like yours. I'm 76 and started playing 8 years ago. I have always known, it's never too late when there are people like you whom can teach professionally. Muchisimas Gracias

Thank you; I really enjoy how you play and demonstrate S Romanza part 2. These chord changes as you note can be very challenging; it would helpful instead of denoting the location ie fret 7 or 5 string 2-3 etc maybe just say which actual note you are playing C#, D#, D etc. Just a thought.
