Covergirl used the slogan “clean makeup” in the 1970s when Cybill Shepherd was their model. It had to do with the use of Noxzema cream in the makeup.
I hated the smell of Covergirl because of the Noxzema!
I used that foundation in high school and I still have a bottle of it. The Noxema scent is so nostalgic for us mature ladies😂
Same in the 90s. The foundation straight up smelled like Noxema and I can almost smell it now. It’s a strangely comforting smell memory.

I bought the Cover Girl Essence this week. I really like it. I did 2 coats of it, and it's great! The mascara looks great even without the primer. The Wet & Wild blush looks great. The Colourpop glosses were also nice. The bottom one I Liked better. 😄

❤❤❤Love your videos, you are so upbeat and cheerful to listen to. Covergirl Clean has been a line for them for 30 years. I think it started as Covergirl Clean makeup with Noxema the face cleanser. This newer stuff does seem to be taking advantage of the clean movement which is a bunch of fearmongering B.S.

I really like the L’Oréal panorama mascara! Stays all day and Doesn’t bleed, smudge or flake and was easy to remove with my oil based makeup remover (Sephora brand waterproof makeup remover)

Covergirl foundation at one time had Noxema in it for a clean option.
The highlighter sure brought out texture on your cheeks.

Drug store is always my Jam Affordable makeup is my thing I make-up is so expensive now so if you can get things inexpensive price why not Kelly have done a review on Sephora new powder foundation I hear it really good maybe you can review it and see if you like it as always great video your the best
Hey girl I downloaded the last video I love making it’s my happy place however it’s hard to purchase new releases on my low budget I love the L’Oréal true match I love melani concealer and their blushes skincare is key more then ever for me since I’ll be 49 March 3rd not looking forward to wrinkles. Hi Kelly, can you do a video on what primer would go with what foundation? Reason being is because some primers 'pill' with some foundations/ and or foundation serums or maybe I'm using the wrong brush 🖌️..it drives me crazy ...
Water base primer goes with water base foundation silicone primer goes with silicone foundation 😊

"Clean" means.......cosmetic companies using a word to sell the idea that certain ingredients are harmful to our skin. It's just a way to sell and make $$$
Don't fall for it. Do your own research and you will find out that most of the ingredients they are telling us are harmful simply are not. Andrea Ali just did a fanstastic video with a Deramatologist and he said the exact same thing I just said. He was pretty salty about cosmetic companies using the term "clean" when the products they have taken out are either beneficial for us or do nothing to hurt us, but keep our makeup from going bad after only a few months.
Oh and Angie from Hot and Flashy did a great video on how clean makeup is a scam and it's working. Don't give your money to cosmetic companies simply over the word "clean"

I don't consider these drug stores because Ulta and Sephora doesn't sell medicine to me I would think drug store is like Walmart or any store that sells medicine or have a pharmacy in there store

Unfortunately the Covergirl is not a dupe for the Chanel in my opinion. The Chanel makes my skin look smooth and the Covergirl did not look great on texture. “Clean” is s marketing tactic that I hope goes away soon. I’m also over ph adjusting products…I think I was over that at age 8. 😂 I like the Neutrogena stick, but I don’t follow the directions.
