The main problem is that MNH is in a deep financial hole of their own making. In 2020 they poured everything they had into a huge buildup for Chung Ha - three (then four) pre-release singles with MVs but no physical sales, banking on her hitting it big internationally (which to be fair, was NOT an unreasonable expectation based on her success in 2018-19). But then the pandemic hit. Instead of pivoting to a more short-term revenue-focused plan like CUBE did with (G)I-DLE (quickly canceling world tour and full album and switching to mini-album and one of the first streaming concerts of the pandemic), MNH kept doubling down on the Querencia project, gambling that the pandemic would end quickly. But it didn't - the only concerts Chung Ha and BVNDIT were able to do in the whole of 2020 was the first KCONTACT, Chung Ha herself got sick, the album was delayed into 2021, and when Querencia finally was released, it didn't sell anywhere near as well as expected. So now MNH is broke, and BVNDIT have been gone so long (almost two years) that it would take a major investment with cash MNH doesn't have to re-introduce them.
@@nahqiv I don't know how much control Chung Ha herself had over the decision-making regarding Querencia - could be anywhere from virtually none to a lot, but it's never been spelled out. I do think MNH went in to 2020 with the not-unjustified belief that Chung Ha was on the verge of global stardom, the "Asian Ariana Grande" perhaps. A full/double album was definitely tailored more towards Western audiences and I am sure the plan was to have her doing constant live promotions in Asia/EU/US during summer 2020 to amp up her visibility and hype. I don't think it was a bad plan, for a world in which the pandemic didn't happen. But once everything locked down worldwide, it should have been obvious that the plan was going to have to change...and it didn't. Without tours and festival revenue, nobody was making any money, and MNH just kept pouring Won into the project without any return except for the Sprite CF and whatever sponsorships she had. When Querencia underperformed, they ended up still in the hole they dug for themselves.
That said, BVNDIT had not exactly been lighting the music world on fire, with sales under 5k for both mini-albums.They definitely needed more time and comebacks to find their footing, but let's face it - there are WAAAAY too many girl groups out there (more debuting every month) and it is super hard for a new group from a small company to gain traction (it didn't help that "Hocus Pocus" was a lackluster debut song - "Dramatic" would have been SO much better). On the plus side, though, because BVNDIT's debut was delayed by two years due to Chung Ha being pulled out to be a soloist, MNH wrote off the members' trainee debt before the pandemic.
My guess is that at some point in 2022, MNH will be acquired by some other company that wants Chung Ha's contract and BVNDIT will be quietly disbanded. It is incredibly sad, but par for the course in the music business…

Happy to see Bvndit getting attention. I like Jungle even more. There is no way to prepare for the first line of the song just accept your doom, I even just said something about it so you know it's there and it's STILL going to get you. Rumor has it Bvndit are all big Moomoos and I see the resemblance. As far as lethal Gahyeon... it's been 5 years she's not a kid anymore and since Boca it looks like she's gradually going to turn into the biggest problem of all of them. I'm willing to bet 100 internet points that when Dreamcatcher has their official breakout it's not Dami or Siyeon but Gahyeon the primary member grabbing all the attention for them.
