I understand how you feel. Myself & my husband have been praying for a child since we got married 7 years ago. It has been the hardest and most painful experience in our lives. I’m in the same boat. Getting married and having a child has always been my desire since I was younger. It’s a beautiful thing. I am now 39 and still praying this prayer. I won’t give up. I have good days and bad days where I have doubts and wonder if God will answer my prayers. Fully surrendering to His will can be challenging to me bc I want this so strongly. I see so many ppl with children and don’t treat them right or simply don’t have the right desire or posture to take care of a child and I question God like, how do they have children while I am childless. It doesn’t makes sense to me at times and I am trying to understand God’s timing vs mines. I am trying to understand His will vs my own. I believe it will come to pass but I must find a way to relinquish control over this area along with other ones in my life. Praying for us both! You’re not alone

It takes lots of strength to reach a point where we give our all to God. Many are the times when we want what we want and aren't willing to yield; we try to do things our own way. That's a destructive path to follow. The most peaceful and easiest way is fully surrendering to God.

Recommitted my relationship with God this past may of this year. I went to have an private ceremony at one of my favorite spots in town, read scriptures pertaining to my vow I made unto Him. The main vow I 'd made to God, when I was 35 years old, to stop looking for an romantic relationship. I had desires to be in an loving relationship since my teens. Things have not worked out as I desired, is the reason for the vow toward God. He is the only one whom has been there for me, when the ones i' d counted on to be there. And God is the only one who has loved me unconditional- and I have not experienced that kind of love since my mother was part of my life.
This is definitely a great start. The way you also surrender to God is by Acts 2:38 and washing away your sins. Acts 2:38 "And Peter said unto them Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Surrendering to God is a challenge. There are areas that I justify for maintaining control, but then I wonder why I can't achieve my desires in my own strength. It's impossible to achieve anything without HIS strength and power. I have to admit that some thoughts and behaviors I don't want to change, then I will have to accept minimal success. Surrender is no longer an option but a necessity. Thank you for providing the steps to move forward and watch HIS plan unfold because my ways aren't working.

Other videos and opinions I’ve seen on this topic have been giving off the vibe of “you’re not trying hard enough”, which is panic-inducing, frustrating and not to mention down right unhelpful. Please help me. I am a 16 year old boy but I want to give my heart and my soul to Jesus. I want to be close to Him and have a strong bond with Him. But tears never come out of my eyes whenever I pray nor there is any regret in me to repent. Whenever I pray the word my 'Father' is always more than the word 'Jesus'. Thank you so much for this video!! I’m just starting my spiritual journey and one thing I wanted to do is to surrender my life to God but the problem is I don’t know how to, then I came across with this video.
So being completely honest with myself, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; I was able (barely) to comply with 1 out of the 6 steps that Ms. Petra Dotson discussed in this video. I wrote all 6 steps on a scrap piece of paper, along with the corresponding Bible verses as references. Why did I jot these 6 steps down? So that I can refer back to them as many times as I need to. For some reason I don't think what she's talking about is a "one and done" type of deal. At least not for me. Number 1. "Admit that you have a problem." I tell Jesus on a daily how messed up I am. He already knows, but I still tell Him anyway. Numbers 2 through 6 are going to be incredibly difficult for me. I have this constant war raging inside my head and my heart. I can actually feel the rebellion rising up in me and that's not good. It feels like a heavy weight in the center of my chest. It's a horrible feeling. I don't understand myself. Not at all. God has been 100% good to me, but I continue to want to do my own thing, even if my own thing fails time after time after time. I need help. When God said that "the whole head is sick" He was talking about me! I need help and bad! 😖
When we keep striving to surrender, God can work with us. It's when we give up that Satan gets a stronghold in our lives. We must keep crying out to God to help us in our weakness. I pray that God will help you to continue fighting to surrender all to HIM until he gives you the victory.

Surrendering to God is a challenge. There are areas that I justify for maintaining control, but then I wonder why I can't achieve my desires in my own strength. It's impossible to achieve anything without HIS strength and power. I have to admit that some thoughts and behaviors I don't want to change, then I will have to accept minimal success. Surrender is no longer an option but a necessity. Thank you for providing the steps to move forward and watch HIS plan unfold because my ways aren't working.
1. Admit i have an problem, and admit that i am wrong and that he is right

Thank you for this. Your video was both refreshing and encouraging to me! You should be a counselor if not already. Other videos and opinions I’ve seen on this topic have been giving off the vibe of “you’re not trying hard enough”, which is panic-inducing, frustrating and not to mention down right unhelpful. But you have conveyed advice in such a calming, truthful manor with scripture included that it is both guiding and uplifting without the feeling of “hurry up and try harder”, that is so refreshing and in the end, helps all of us take home life changing advice and some structure to follow! @@PetraDotsonMaranatha I actually came across a video but it is in Spanish, pretty much what I did is I The word study on bitterness and unforgiveness, Then I wrote in a paper the name of the people that I need to forgive and next to it what I needed from them, then I for gave them then I prayed to Jesus that he would supply those needs. And that’s how I ended up forgiven them

Please help me. I am a 16 year old boy but I want to give my heart and my soul to Jesus. I want to be close to Him and have a strong bond with Him. But tears never come out of my eyes whenever I pray nor there is any regret in me to repent. Whenever I pray the word my 'Father' is always more than the word 'Jesus'. And I also wanted to know how to attain 'Faith' which is one of the most important thing to have. I read the Bible but there is always something that bothers me which is I can not pay attention even when I thought that I read it clearly, the things I read cannot reach my ears. There is a thing in my mind that neglected God but I don't know what it is. Till this day I live a happy life, I acquired good marks in my exams, I never go out of my house, I like to tidy up things, I don't have any friends as I want to pay attention to my studies, and I have not done a wrong thing in my life. I want to be a hard worker but still I think myself as a lazy, arrogant, etc. I don't know what is wrong with me. I don't have any depressions, etc. I always think my prayers could not reach God. Can you please tell me how I can accept and believe in Jesus Christ. I wanted the Holy Spirit to be in me. I wanted to be a strong believer.

The way you see yourself it is not how God sees you, trust me. He sees you and smile.🥰🥰 Don't rely too much on your feelings sometimes they can be deceitful , they change over time. And bcz they changed they're not reliable but keep in mind that it doesn't even a bit affect how God sees you bcz He never change 😉.

So being completely honest with myself, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; I was able (barely) to comply with 1 out of the 6 steps that Ms. Petra Dotson discussed in this video. I wrote all 6 steps on a scrap piece of paper, along with the corresponding Bible verses as references. Why did I jot these 6 steps down? So that I can refer back to them as many times as I need to. For some reason I don't think what she's talking about is a "one and done" type of deal. At least not for me.
Number 1. "Admit that you have a problem." I tell Jesus on a daily how messed up I am. He already knows, but I still tell Him anyway.
Numbers 2 through 6 are going to be incredibly difficult for me. I have this constant war raging inside my head and my heart. I can actually feel the rebellion rising up in me and that's not good.
It feels like a heavy weight in the center of my chest.
It's a horrible feeling.
I don't understand myself. Not at all. God has been 100% good to me, but I continue to want to do my own thing, even if my own thing fails time after time after time. I need help. When God said that "the whole head is sick" He was talking about me! I need help and bad! 😖
When we keep striving to surrender, God can work with us. It's when we give up that Satan gets a stronghold in our lives. We must keep crying out to God to help us in our weakness. I pray that God will help you to continue fighting to surrender all to HIM until he gives you the victory.
