I’m doing some really important research on people in the Orthodontic Industry that want to advance their career to the next level into the Ortho laboratory sector I want to learn more about their challenges, fears, desires and goals so I can create an online course that will advance them in their career! Does that describe you? If so, do you have time this week for a quick zoom interview? courses.retainerdesigner.com/lets-connect/
Thank you for doing this tutorial! I work at a denture lab and had my first request for Adams clasps from a new dentist for a stayplate. I have previously used C-clasps, I- clasps and ball clasps and never had requests for anything else. Your video really helped me out of a jam! They turned out great!
Thank you very much for these videos. I used to send my wire bending out to a neighboring lab, but your thorough explanation of the process taught me how to bend my own. Thank you!
hello retainer designer ! im a dental student from Iran and i owe you my "practical orthodontic" 101 course thank you very much not only i learned to bend Adam's clasp , i also enjoyed doing it 🙏🙏🙏
Dude i took a look at the appliance once and managed to do my own way, except mine started by making the arrowhead on one side and bending the 45-50 to get the same form. But after seeing that move with the arrowhead i'm going your way, you got skills :D
as a dentistery student i used like the most of us to hate orthodontics because of bending :) tell i see your tutorial i like it now somehow . zhanks alot
Great video. That's exactly I've learned in university. Apart from the loop signature at the end: that demands extra skill and patience. PS: Love the pen holder.
Hi I think your Video is really helpful. But could you also teach on how to do the lingual retainer and W arch for me. I really confused and struggled with them.
I will look into doing that one. I think I did one but it must have been during one of my live streams but never mentioned it. Next time one comes in I will record it.
We trim the acrylic to the middle of the 7's to allow room for the Adams clasps. If there are not 7's we just allow 2-3 mm of acrylic distal the the adams
sir its a Wonderfull video explaining every aspect of making Adams and can u plz tell me instrument (bird beak plier)which u r using is of which brand and how much it will cost,
Thank you, glad the video helped! I believe the plieres I used in this video where the ones from Great Lakes Ortho (Serrated Wire Bending Laboratory Plier (134) - Superior) But the ones I use currently are Dentronix 134 I got from JBCandCompany.com
Who decides how much of the palate is covered with acrylic? Is it the technician or is there an order from the orthodontist? I'm asking because i made the experience that it is even more comfortable when the entire palate is covered. If the back part is free, I always felt the edges and didn't get used to it so well. Maybe you can tell me more about it :)
Thank you for the tutorial, but I have a question. is it possible to construct an orthodontic appliance on a prior used cast? my patient lost her appliance, and I was wondering if i could fabricate the second appliance on her old cast?? please help.. im a dentistry student..
Yes. That shouldn't be a problem. As long as the teeth are intact on the old model. If they are broken off you may need to wax new ones. If it has been awhile since the patient wore thier retainer. It might be tight for awhile but the good news is the original model was the original position of thier teeth so the new retainer should move them back.

It is a paper mate Flair M Felt Tip Pen, Yes it comes off on my fingers while i bend. I rather it do that than stay stuck on the wire. I will put a link to my Amazon Page in the Description and you can order it off of Amazon if you want.
To anyone using braces right now, I do not recommend this retainer type. Plastic ones are much better why?? Hawley retainers are wire they kind of damage my gums besides they become loose and you have to go to your orthodontist. I feel plastic are much better they don't need adjustment. TAKE MY ADVICE I GUARANTEE YOU WONT REGRET
Vinay K I am more than willing to learn a new technique! Point me in the right direction to a video or something that shows the correct techniques with correct piers, I will learn it an post a video on it on my channel.

Cade Tippett thank you so much.. you were very helpful :)
Is the Adams claps really passive?
It should not be, it should contact the tooth measial and buccal, it will be activated by the doctor more when they deliver.
Very helpful! Thank you so much!

I did like this video until you started to take the wire bending out of the shot grrrr!!!
I've been an orthodontic technician for 40 years and I'm afraid this video is cringe worthy. Like watching Beyonce when you're a Floyd fan.
Don't give demo in incorrect methods, using the wrong pliers, foolish to follow your technique
Vinay K I am more than willing to learn a new technique! Point me in the right direction to a video or something that shows the correct techniques with correct piers, I will learn it an post a video on it on my channel.
