Hey, really helpful video. What is the exact name of the glue and spray you`re using at the end? And how do you remove the glue afterwards without breaking the gips model? Tanks!
+Szara Dental Lab Kind of. I dont know the name of the retainer in english, but it has a labial bow. I can remove the braces off the model, but how is the pacient going to use it if he still isnt going to have his braces removed? And thank you!
my guess would be that the dentist wanted to have the retainer ready to deliver as soon as the braces came off; what i would do is get the cast, trim away the brackets, and fabricate a retainer with it. the dentist might have to make some adjustments, but they wouldn't have the patient waiting long before they get their retainers
I'm a dental tech. for 47 years. When I first started bending clasps ,lying the wire along the gingiva of the tooth was something to be avoided if at all possible. This is something I still do so as to avoid the gingiva from receding as the partial settles in.I see alot of techs.don't seem to follow that rule anymore.Your thoughts on that.
After the denture is fabricated if the clasp needs minor adjustments some lab technicians and dentists recommend adjusting the terminal third of the clasp as the chances of breakage is low there and some dentists recommend adjusting the portion closest to the denture base and according to them the chances of breakage is less there. What is your opinion?
@@Chronos867 In my opinion rot iron clasps are able to take alot more bending without breaking than cast clasps.Bend where needed as long you make smooth not sharp bends as sharp bends will cause weak spots increasing greater chance of breakage.
I’m so pissed with my dentist and dental lab said they have do a complete new partial because they can’t attach additional 2 upper back molars… even though one molar snapped, grrrr…. Guess they’re making a new one…… 😭
Was it a cast framework? If so, the dental lab sometimes require having metal parts welded to your existing partial to add teeth to it. Sometimes you can't add metal to an existing partial, and it needs to be replaced. Acrylic partials are nice because they can be extended and acrylic teeth can be added to the partial... and sometimes the dentist just wants to make more money!!

Great Video! I hace a question, how do you make a retainer for a patient who is using braces?
+Avanzada Dental I'm not sure I'm following you. Are you asking about carving off stone brackets?

+Avanzada Dental unfortunately he or she wouldn't be able to wear retainer until braces are removed
+Szara Dental Lab Exactly! I was like wuuuut when the dentist made that request, thank for the info steve, and keep the vídeos coming!
