I met Mark when I worked at Soundwave in Victoria Road Romford back in 1982? He could make any Bass guitar sing! Soundwave was the birthplace of the Trace Elliot EQ's and Amps and cabs. My role was constructing the equipment from component level, plus building the speaker cabs and adding the corny red pin stripes to them. Me and my mate Paul painted a mural of Pink Floyds Wall on our room out the back, bricks and all. Across the road was the "Lower Wapping Conker Club" recording studio, they lasted a few minutes then dissapeared! Happy days non the less.

The level42 show in the 80's in Düsseldorf Philipshalle (pre show band 'the blessing') was my very first live show I have seen ever. here I decided to start a job / business as free lightning / video engineer and I did it really, was many many years worging for satis&fy ag germany and many other companys. had to enjoy a level show in leverkusen/jazz tage and could to the setup for the ground support rig there. so hope to see you in Eschweiler.... 🤠😎 💪💪🍻

I liked the original band that put out the hits in the early to mid 1980s but when the Gould Brothers (who wrote the lyrics) quit, the band was never the same. Mark King has tried multiple things, including briefly a solo career, but his biggest success was with the original band. Retroglide in 2006 brought back three of the five original members who created the music and performed only in studio - Mark King, Boon Gould, and Mike Lindup.
Requires a highly level of concentration to play that bass with such intensity and precision while singing those lyrics lines. Dude is an awesome talent.
