I used to add banana trees.
Cut it into small pieces and then keep it under sunlight for 5-7 days so that any insects or worms in the trees dies from sun heat..After that you can add it

If worms are there it should work... these are the Red Wigler Worms, they act fast compared to Indian local breeds.... Indian local breads are meant to make the soil porous that helps in aeration in the plant root system and plants grow well.

The more you use the earthworms, it will do the job faster. The bed of this size requires 3-5 killos.

1. May I know how much quantity (in kg) of cow dung and neem leaves and rice straw goes into one vermi bed?
2. You said that you had put 3-5kg of worms in the bed. And it takes 70 days for the vermi compost to be ready. Does it mean that if we double the worms in the bed, the vermi compost will be ready in half the time?
3. How much vermi compost can one harvest from this one vermi bed?
4. In this 70 days period that you showed in the video, what happens to the population of the worms?
Looking forward to your video on how to harvest the worms and their eggs.

Q1. As such I have not measured it. More the neem leaves, its better for the compost. Rice straws are required to create aeration, so it depends upon you, don't put much. But commercial farms don't use it.
Q2. More the worms, the faster the results
Q3. 2 Ton Capacity Vermi Bed can give you around 1.5 ton.
Q4. You should have a number of bed to transfer the worms, else they will die? You can sell them if you want.

They will multiply rapidly, you need to have multiple beds to transfer them, else they will die. Sprinkling water is required when the moisture level goes down...weekly twice in summer and once in other seasons...depending upon the moisture level
