The Wailers were 100% great musicians, no question there. But although there are several violent episodes in their lives as the ones you mentioned in the video, I wouldn't call them Rude Boys. Don't misunderstand me, they were surely tough, I mean Bob even got the nickname Tuff Gong. But they were just streetwise young boys trying to survive in the midst of the violent life of the ghetto in a extremely hard time in Jamaica. They developed the skills that allowed them to make it. That doesn't mean they were Rude Boys, which at the time were gangsters and mob rufians. The Wailers first number one hit Simmer Down was an anti-violence song that begged Rude Boys to stop their turf wars before they ended up arrested, beaten or dead. Great video, keep the work! Jah bless!
Never thought Bunny Wailer had such aggression. More details how Peter Tosh taught his friends music or play instruments . How often the interacted after break up
😳🤔, The Original Wailers ( Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer) are good examples of the timeless African Proverb- It better to be a Lion 🦁 for a day than a Sheep 🐑 all your life 😳🤔✊🏿
Not sure which song it was but I think its Small Axe. Apparently there was an unwritten agreement where after recording the Wailers would get the master tape and then pay off the producer after sales of the pressed copies started to pick up, But on this song the producer (Errol Thmpson?) refused to release the master tape before payment. The Wailers were certain that it was going to be a hit but the engineer would not relent, until Bunny Wailer threatened him with a baseball bat.
Keep up the good work bro, when people talk about Bob Marley and the wailers, they need to know about the original wailers, Bob Peter Bunny, there were also others but to me, this is the wailers. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do a little more research because you missed a few things: it's not just their own Jamaican Black brothers they fought, but Leslie Kong, Danny Sims and Johnny Nash, and Chris Whiteworst too, as all of them were either exploiting Bob as a songwriter (Sims and Nash) or pirating Wailers' music (Kong and Whiteworst). In fact, the reason they even got on Island is because Bob stormed Whiteworst's office looking for royalties for pirated recordings (those same songs Scratch sold out). Good video, but dig deeper: there's always more.
@@XWNLOXDo you not think it ironic that you're reacting on my arrogance in the context of a video admiring the arrogance of the Wailers?! 😂 Arrogant, yes. Arrogant to rassclaat!
He gave us a tidbit, and that’s enough. The videos have limited run time, so he won’t go into their entire 1960s-early 1970s experiences. The point of the matter is that those Wailers weren’t soft, but menacing, and they could fight.
Here's a story you don't hear: the Wailers had a big rivalry with Slim Smith and his group the Uniques. All of this should've been in the last film. If it means the runtime will be over 3 hours, so be it. I'd pay to watch it.
The Wailers leaving Studio One was the best thing to happen to them because Coxsone wanted them to adapt R&B to their sound but by the time they linked up with Scratch each member was able to show their real vocal potential but like every other producer Scratch robbed them.
I wish this story had been made into a movie. It would have been truly epic.

Peter TOSH music wake up the 🌿 slumbering mentality of mankind on earth 🌎
There are reasons why peter was known as "steping razor and the Thoughest and Bob as Tuff Gong.
Tuff gong has nothing to do with Bob being tough. Gong is the name of lennard howell, the first rasta
Said I’m rough I’m tough I’m rough I’m tough I’m the roughest
These guys are some tough street fighters bob bunny and Peter they not soft tough
They had to be tough rude boys growing up in Trenchtown
The Wailers were N.W.A. before NWA
Rastafari a the best
3 tough hombres.
Shockingly it is rumoured that Bunny was the real "bad ass"
please sir i need to know what song you used in the background pls answer
Think oall the music they could have produced if they didn't have to fight the street and corruption to be the Artists the world needed.

👍🏻‼️
Those experiences inspired them to greatness. Those gems you hear were borne out of adversity.
