i think the darkness effect is more of an afterthought, nightfall is more about dredge snifing 3 tons of crack and zoomin in and around lockers like a madman
not at all devs confirmed nightfall is bugged as it is supposed to be darker and the killer is not supposed to be a beacon of light
@@walletinspector9341 yh I think I remember the devil saying that. After all how it is now has not real point other then to speed up the power of the dredge. But it makes sense it's a bug as the killer isn't supposed to glow white and the survivors are only supposed to glow like that when in a chase in nightfall.

@@Second_UNIT well good news in July 40 perks will be reworked and some base game changes will happen to go alongside the changes. This will hopefully be the best thing to happen

Have you SEEN ALMO PLAY? they ALL FUCKING SUCK. they do not represent a even AVERAGE DBD player their internal tests are only good for telling them if a perk is BLATANTLY busted hell not even that as off the record is INSANE and no one there picked up on it
I kinda noticed how recent DBD killers seem to have a strong anti loop potential until they actually come out and after 1 week everyone’s back to their usual builds

well ya do people really wanna learn a new killer just to find out like a week later that its a C tier killer
Issue is hold W exists and 80% of killers with "anti-loop" can get countered by it horribly. I still don't know how people even thought Sadako wasn't complete dogshit from the word go though, people putting her in B or A were trolling on god.

I think they should countiue updating the dredge after they realease it to where every new complaint the community makes is heard faintly during night falls activation.

I do hope nightfall gets better. Something that matters a lot to me about killer design is making the killer "scary". It's why I liked the Onryo for the first 5 minutes, before people stuck her in C tier. They have detailed that they're going to tweak nightfall a good amount, so more power to them for it.
The Oni is pretty scary imo
Nightfall is confirmed bugged. The glow effect is too bright and the visibility range for survivors too far

I absolutely love the concept of the dredge. I feel like we need more monster killers in the game
Idk why but I really enjoy the screams over a music theme it goes well with the killer. The dredge is the only recent killer that actually felt scary.
This immediately makes me wish BH can buff Sadako as the Dredge kinda took over. Maybe have it where Condemned is actually scary and applies more and more debuffs onto a survivor until fully condemned and thus exposd.
yeah i always felt that being fully condemned should make you exposed bc in the movie when the 7 days were up she wasn't like "ok I have to chase you down now" she just kills on the spot
The only thing I’ve got for a way to buff condemned is to make it as hard to get rid of as it is to apply and to make the final stage near permanent and near un “GET THIS SHIT OFF ME!” Able

I’m very happy they buffed nightfall because now the Dredge is genuinely scary with both that and him jumping out of lockers at you without warning. I can definitely see Dredge jumpscare compilations in the near future lmao.

I really like dredge as a killer. Probably the best killer release in a moment. Even if its recycled. Its just put together.
My issue with Dredge is: they're a better Sadako (Ringu). Dredge feels like they completely overlap her save for a mori that is too difficult to pull off without add ons.

For real though, the Dredge looks like a ton of fun to play. Got a bunch of shards set aside so I can immedately buy it. Nightfall isn't really all that impressive, but the teleport speed boost is so good it makes the lame parts seem arbitrary. BHVR said nightfall is bugged and not supposed to look like this, which I kinda doubt, but if they are going to improve it either way all the better.
Here’s a problem I have. Survivors going against the dredge can see the aura of the locker it is in, which in turn defeats the point of survivors being afraid of the lockers if you can see what locker it’s hiding in. Imagine going into a locker thinking it’s safe, only to be met with the dredge pulling you into the locker. That’s scary. If I can see where the killer is hiding, then I know where to not go and I know I need to run.
No one is going to believe me but I came up with the idea for the perk of the pallet breaking on Rowby's stream and suggested it

I think dredge is sick but he's pretty map dependant. On some maps like coal tower, there's two gens that can spawn in the back left and right corner by shack, and they will never have locker spawns, essentially creating a dead zone over there unless you want to teleport to shack

Dredge reminds me alot of Demogorgon. Power to end chase, and map traversal? Kinda seems similar. Although Nightfall is there and with Dredge, lockers already exist instead of Demo portals. One thing is for certain though, Dredge is not getting head pats.

All I took away from this is that the dredge is too cool.
The nightfall is currently bugged, the white shine is supposed to only be seen from much closer and it's supposed to be darker as well. Nightfall also makes you teleport wayyyyyyy faster and gives killer instincts on a pretty big radius which are the more significant effects
Roy Earle as a killer sounds like the funniest thing in the world. A killer whose only powers are Racism and Gun, but an actual gun not the probably-much-more-lethal-speargun Deathslinger has.
Hi rowby! Just wanted to take a moment to thank you and say i love this series. I am a killer player almost exclusively (my friends convince me to play a game or two as survivor every few months) the community can be rather toxic in general from both ends and im no stranger to harsh words for playing killer. However, your series has kept my interests in the game alive and kept me focused on the fun aspect of it rather than the competitve side. Despite this series being a joke it is the foundation of my play style since you break every killer down to its bare basics then left little suggestions or tibbits of info. Its inspired alot of my meme builds and even some of my stupid main builds for every killer. It taught me to focus on the main aspects of killers allowing me to learn and have fun with every single one which kept my interests in the game alive and my experience unique to every game. Thankyou so much!
On a side note: if/when you make a jerk guide to wesker i had an idea for a joke. Wesker face grabs then throws survivors almost identically to how dbz broly grabs in Dragonball xenoverse 2. When i called wesker's grab the "broly grab" or "broly yeet" in a party with my friends they lectured me about how thats how wesker grabs in game. I thought it would be funny, and probably piss off other resident evil fans, if you claimed that they stole the grab animation from xenoverse 2, made wesker yell "kakarot" during his power, or cut to a clip of broly's grab from the game. Not a request just a suggestion I thought was funny and fit your shit poster styled humour.
Heres a fun killer idea for you. the monster thing from Carrion. It can disguise as a survivor as its power and do generators and everything a survivor can do, but does them in reverse. Shifting only takes you a little less time than recovering when popping out of legion's power. Otherwise loop wise it has a nemesis tentacle attack.Ticks another box of horror tropes.

FYI: Nightfall is bugged on the PTB they said it will be working on live when they get it pushed out. It's supposed to reduce vision to 12 meters for survivors and not make the Dredge glow until he's within 1M.

The problem is that they ironically don't feel original. The powers are just a mashup of freddy/Demogorgon and spirit/Nurse because of the teleportation capabilities and map pressure, as well as loop countering.

I got the pallet break perk to work ONCE. It was in midwitch, on a really small corner room where I could camp both exits so the survivor was forced to jump the pallet to escape me. Also, it was on clown, not Dredge, since Dredge has reverse sinergy with his own perks.

They've said the nightfall effect is bugged but we dunno how it's bugged so stay tuned.
Also I think the 12 second exposed is actually one of the only ones that's had that where it's actually good at that time. Since he has no terror radius during it and can travel across the map almost instantly (and you forgot to mention that during nightfall, when you leave a locker, nearby survivors get the killer instinct heartbeat effect), you get some pretty good use out of it, generally at least 1 down per nightfall.

Well the thing about nightfall is that the devs stated that it’s actually bug. The survivors aren’t supposed to see you more than 14m and the dredge is supposed to be not a neon sign. Just a little highlighted so looping isn’t a pain in the ass. We won’t know what nightfall will actually look like until the chapter comes out.

Dredge is my favorite killer, it actually made me finally buy the game instead of messing around on xbox game pass every so often. I’m really enjoying my time with it, just because of it’s cosmetic design. While zooming around the map is fun, the main appeal is how amazing the power fantasy is

The main reason to play dredge is that you can camp in a locker without problems (get in the locker it won’t let you tp into it)

the issue with the pallet perk is it lets survivors KNOW when it's active...like are they gonna give us a notification telling us what exhaustion perk the survivor that I'm chasing has? Or that they have ds/bt active? Like you could argue "oh it's for counterplay" yeah but why doesn't that apply to literally every other perk? Every other perk you have to LEARN the perks grow some knowledge and improve from it. Them just telling you what perks the killer has and when they're active is just balancing for literal babies and I find that...not good.
I purchased Sadako for her perks. I have used her only once and sadly, teleporting killers just don’t mesh well with me. I can see the value in moving around the map quickly, true. But any other killer can traverse maps fast already- faster than survivors.
As for the Dredge’s perks… nothing truly stands out to me. I am certain of course, that I’ll be going against a lot if Dredge and a lot of Haddies.
