I'm really fascinated by the graffiti in the junkyard in episode 4. "Chloe WAS here. Max WAS here. Rachel IS here. You're all gonna die". It's probably the creepiest thing in the game for me. I always had a feeling it was Nathan who did it because it just seems like something he'd do but we afaik there's no confirmation. What do you guys think?

If I’m not mistaken, that line of Nathan was actually in the game. He said it in episode 4, after Chloe and Warren left the boys dorm, just after Max has stopped Warren from beating up Nathan further. He doesn’t say it if you let Warren beat up Nathan until he bleeds (then his line is “Everybody hates me” instead).
Also, when you come across the "punk t-shirt" that is torn up and soiled, hanging in tatters in the junkyard quite close to where Max and Chloe end up discovering Racheal's corpse and her dumpsite. Max even comments on it and says something along the line of "This is probably the creepiest thing in this whole place." It is definitly jarring to hear this especially since there is worse things in the junkyard like used syringes, Chloe's dead Fathers smashed up car that he was killed in, a campfire hidden within a bunch of different cars that look suspisiously placed... it looks almost like this was a hideout or a place where people would use as a place to sleep/live/camp/hide/drink/hangout/party/wait for a train (it also had a purposely set up booby-trap that would either cover up the opening of the hideout or keep other people out. Another creepy thing about this is that the camp fire is still smoking and there is still embers burning inside the fire-ring... makes me wonder who was literally JUST there, or possibly STILL there in the junkyard. Did they just take off on the passing train, did they get spooked when Chloe and Max arrived and started talking about doing some "target practice" with Chloes new "toy", a gun. Was someone watching them, spying on them? I just find a smoking fire partcially hidden but no one to be seen around that could of lit it or been using the spot... weird. Also the porno magizine, that is open to a page and right out in the open... the huge box filled with old very early versions of "The Vortex Club" 's magizine, all super old and vintage and from a time when the Vortex Club stood for way different things than they do now, something positive but still something very outspoken and radical, also very rebellious. All the stuff about Racheal Amber inside the clubhouse.. like the poster for the party she dissapeared from, the Jefferson note thats crumpled up A LOT into a ball and has some lines scratched out in the trash... just gives me the feeling that Chloe knows more than she is saying, how could she miss that stuff hanging around? It's impossible. Also, the poster that is supposed to say "Welcome to LA" but Chloe changed to say either "Welcome to heLla" or maybe it had said "Welcome to heLl" and someone added the extra "a" ???
and the La La Land graffiti... LA ? Los Angeles? written right next to the open window right above the poster of the party where Rachel disappeared from? WEIRD.
I think it was almost meant to be a warning to them from Nathan. In his voicemail to Max near the end, he reveals that he knows his life is in danger and he knows that Max and Chloe’s lives are in danger, so he tries to warn her. I think the graffiti was another way to warn them

I think that Rachel is a character that a lot of people see as capable and mature and while that might be true in some ways, I don't think her relationships with a teacher at her school or a drug dealer (that she met as a teenager) can be seen as fully consensual. The power dynamics there are hard to overlook

Adding to the Tempest stuff, the storm Prospero conjures is very specifically a part of a revenge plot which seems to feed into the idea that the storm is in some way linked to Rachel.
Also, in one of the letters from Rachel to Frank, Rachael states that she is a Leo which is a fire sign, and the planet for it is the sun. That also adds more proof onto the fire theories. :)
Rachels surname is Amber, which is possible to pronounce closely to the word ember, which may not be coincidence as well in her relation to fire in the game
the theory with the homeless lady being a worker in the hospital seems kinda interesting bc she indeed said to max that the knows everyone in this little town and thats the reason why she got so many information about ppl. a lot of patients are telling private things to nurses Just because they need the socialisation in an „all white and blue“ vicinity. greetings from germany :)
I still maintain my day 1 theory that Rachel amber doesn't belong in this timeline and she's somehow lost in time and space, everything else is fallout from that catalyst. Think of Max's friend from the comics.
I had a theory about all the girls in the red binders having some kind of power, even Kate and Victoria. And the villains were trying to somehow steal that power. The principal and nathan's dad were also involved with Mr jefferson in the crimes. I mean, they even left a whiskey bottle in the dark room, so it would have made sense. Nathan's dad was the mastermind, so that's why he created that apocalypse bunker because he knew about the storm. And of course, Nathan and Samuel also had the same vision as Max about the tornado... I wish they explored more of those characters. I think Rachel somehow saw through them and got stuck in time because of her powers, and she transfered them to Max, and her spirit was guiding her towards the truth. sorry for the long comment lol, i just love LiS and your video was amazing, thanks!

There is a theory that Samuel knows about the future and guides Max, because Samuel is future Warren. One argument could be made that Samuel is saying "young Max" as to insinuate he knows the old Max. In this theory Max chose bae. Future Max then travels back in time with future Warren. Warren changes his name to Samuel. Their goal is to change the ending to save Bay. The writers confirmed that both endings are canon. This theory shows how this happens.

Hey, theres a few really cool and eventually messed up things you missed: In BTS Chloe has a few nightmares during the whole game ( almost everytime about his father as i remember). If you check Chloes notebook, sketches and SMS-es you will see very messed up things. You will see for example text messages from the Principal, William Shakespear or from the Raven. Its definitely worth to check these!! In the notebook during the nightmare where Chloe is in the car with William right before the accident if you check the sketchbook you will see Max hanging from a tree. Theres a theory where Max killed herself after Chloe died. Next to max there is the iconic butterfly and a number that means something but i eventually forgot what. Check these out :)
Very late reply but I feel like the Max in a tree is more symbolic since she keeps putting her life on the line for Chloe? And David never mentions her in LIS2 unaliving herself in the Bay>Bae timeline
speaking of the whole spirit animals thing, jefferson's seems to be the owl. there's an owl at the barn that you can take a picture of (hinting at jefferson's bunker), and there's an owl that quickly flies by max at the junkyard scene in ep4 right before jefferson drugs max and kills chloe.
For the next lis iceberg on lis2 here's a theorie that i like: it's how the weed farm in episode 3 is connected to the drug traffic by frank and daemon in the first lis and lis bts. It's not really a theorie but more a speculation, but i still like the idea that everything is connected. Also there's a tone of theories of how and why daniel got his powers and what is the power of sean that would be perfect for the lis2 iceberg. Anyways, great video, can't wait for the next one!

My question is though, if Rachel had these powers, why was she murdered? I would think she could have used them in self-defense- Max almost dies a whole bunch of times but her powers always save her.
that's a very fair point! I think that something similar to Max might have happened, where she was drugged and therefore unable to use her powers. and unlike Max she didn't have a Polaroid or diary to use while in the darkroom in order to go back in time. obviously it's all a theory, I don't think that's what the developers had in mind but it's fun to speculate 😉 thank you so much for watching 💕

another thing i found interesting about the tempest scene-nathan plays caliban and in the play, caliban attempts to sexually assault miranda (who's played by dana). it just... doesn't seem accidental he was chosen for that role (and i'm sure there's more that could be said for both of their origins, but that's what stuck out most to me)

The first time I played this game; when Max went back in time using photos, The Butterfly Effect was the first thing that popped into my mind. The main character in the movie, Evan, did it via his journals. His dad did it via photos.

In chapter 5 of True Colors, on the therapists desk at the very start, there are letters and numbers engraved on it and it looks like base 64 code to me. I've tried decoding it but I can't make out all the characters. I looked everywhere online for it but I can't find anything about it. Maybe Rachels ghost sends the storm because she is jealous of Max because she is with Chloe now. When Chloe dies in the bathroom, her spirit can be with Rachel which calms her.
There is a theory that Daniel has time travel powers. Max controls time and space. Daniel only controls space, but this could be powers that are still developing because Daniel is too young to control time yet.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I only recently finished the game. So I have a theory about Max's premonitions and I've seen one theory that is similar but not quite the same as mine. My theory is that her visions are residual memories from her time travels. When her conscious travels back in time it leaves these memories behind in her past self.

ok, call me crazy, but what if they made a prequel to the prequel, so this one follows Rachel's origin story? Assuming the pyrokinesis theory is correct. Plus they could also tie in some other loose end like if the Prescotts really knew about the storm.
I can't believe there's nothing in the iceberg about the symbols you can find drawn on the back of the lighthouse in episode one. It's probably the most perplexing thing in the game. Max thinks to herself that they remind her of the wind for some reason.
I'm glad I watched these Lis 1 Icebergs as well. I missed that Rachel hooked up with Jefferson. Which really just shows she wasn't a great person. Didn't mean she deserved to die. But Chloe deserved better.
Here's my theory what if Chloe seeing Rachel on fire means that Rachel just got burned meaning as Rachel manipulated and I guess tricked people the same thing ended up happening back at her by being manipulated and tricked by Jefferson and then getting killed. So like I said she got burned.
I actually think Rachel "controls" wind. The flames get bigger when there is more oxygen I guess? Bc before the wildfire startes and she screams the first thing you see is the wind blowing

I personally don't think Jefferson really was with Rachel intimately, or at least dug her body up from the grave... I mean there's the letter of course, but not sure if they really went that deep together? After all, whatever Jefferson said in the nightmare, it's still Max' nightmare. When she talks to him in the classroom, in the nightmare, all she can say are things like "I love you Jefferson" , "I'm glad Chloe is dead" , "Our dark room" etc. which are exactly the things Max hates saying. So the nightmare is just a collaboration of pure hell for Max, the things she NEVER wishes to think about. Still think it's fucked up what Jefferson said in there, but I dont think it really happened that way. Especially the grave digging...
I didn't remember what the line you were referring to in the nightmare mazes was, so I went to the link and my GOD I didn't think it could've gotten worse than that first half. Hopefully it's just a nightmare and it isn't actually something he did. Horribly, I wouldn't put it past him 😰
Mr . Amber backstory about Sara you see Sara while holding baby Rachel with the same bracelet Rachel wears what if Sara gave it too frank which is why he has it in the first life is strange game . I say that because depends on the decision you make when talking to Sara in the end of the game one of the choices is the give her the bracelet, leading to frank saying it was a gift from a friend too Chloe. Or Rachel gave it too him that's my theory.
i watched a bit of the early built video and Max asks Chloe (and multiple other people) about Jessie and Chloe says her full name was Jessie Palmer which confirms that Rachel was indeed supposed to be called Jessie, there are also some weird photos (of real people?) in Max dairy of Mr Jefferson and Rachel :)

I’m going to absolutely puke. I was curious and read through Jefferson’s comments in the maze and what he said about Max, Chloe, Kate and Rachael is absolutely sickening. I’m glad his *ss goes to jail in one of the endings. (Also poor Rachael and Chloe! 😭)

The story is in different universes, is you can see LIS 2 doesn’t talk too much about max or anyone, most likely because it might not be at the same time or the same place, but to me the story in different universes doesn’t matter, my theory is the butterfly gave max her powers, as you can see there might be a storm in the first scene but that could be a nightmare. But if you look later in the game aka episode 1, right after she takes the picture of the butterfly and her friend Chloe die to Mather, her powers activate and the butterfly picture is basically always hinted at in later episodes.

In BTS Chloe has a few nightmares during the whole game ( almost everytime about his father as i remember). If you check Chloes notebook, sketches and SMS-es you will see very messed up things.
You will see for example text messages from the Principal, William Shakespear or from the Raven. Its definitely worth to check these!!
In the notebook during the nightmare where Chloe is in the car with William right before the accident if you check the sketchbook you will see Max hanging from a tree. Theres a theory where Max killed herself after Chloe died. Next to max there is the iconic butterfly and a number that means something but i eventually forgot what. Check these out :)
Very late reply but I feel like the Max in a tree is more symbolic since she keeps putting her life on the line for Chloe? And David never mentions her in LIS2 unaliving herself in the Bay>Bae timeline
speaking of the whole spirit animals thing, jefferson's seems to be the owl. there's an owl at the barn that you can take a picture of (hinting at jefferson's bunker), and there's an owl that quickly flies by max at the junkyard scene in ep4 right before jefferson drugs max and kills chloe.

For the next lis iceberg on lis2 here's a theorie that i like: it's how the weed farm in episode 3 is connected to the drug traffic by frank and daemon in the first lis and lis bts. It's not really a theorie but more a speculation, but i still like the idea that everything is connected. Also there's a tone of theories of how and why daniel got his powers and what is the power of sean that would be perfect for the lis2 iceberg. Anyways, great video, can't wait for the next one!

I love your videos and would love to see more LiS content! I also really like the theory that Rachel had storm/fire powers, or the theory that Rachel had time travel powers and somehow gifted them to Max. My question is though, if Rachel had these powers, why was she murdered? I would think she could have used them in self-defense- Max almost dies a whole bunch of times but her powers always save her.
that's a very fair point! I think that something similar to Max might have happened, where she was drugged and therefore unable to use her powers. and unlike Max she didn't have a Polaroid or diary to use while in the darkroom in order to go back in time. obviously it's all a theory, I don't think that's what the developers had in mind but it's fun to speculate 😉 thank you so much for watching 💕

another thing i found interesting about the tempest scene-nathan plays caliban and in the play, caliban attempts to sexually assault miranda (who's played by dana). it just... doesn't seem accidental he was chosen for that role (and i'm sure there's more that could be said for both of their origins, but that's what stuck out most to me)

The first time I played this game; when Max went back in time using photos, The Butterfly Effect was the first thing that popped into my mind. The main character in the movie, Evan, did it via his journals. His dad did it via photos.

In chapter 5 of True Colors, on the therapists desk at the very start, there are letters and numbers engraved on it and it looks like base 64 code to me. I've tried decoding it but I can't make out all the characters. I looked everywhere online for it but I can't find anything about it. Maybe you could look into it

Maybe Rachels ghost sends the storm because she is jealous of Max because she is with Chloe now. When Chloe dies in the bathroom, her spirit can be with Rachel which calms her.
No maybe rachael wants a revenge for what happen to her so she send the storm and gave max the rewind power for protecting chloe😅

There is a theory that Daniel has time travel powers. Max controls time and space. Daniel only controls space, but this could be powers that are still developing because Daniel is too young to control time yet.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I only recently finished the game. So I have a theory about Max's premonitions and I've seen one theory that is similar but not quite the same as mine. My theory is that her visions are residual memories from her time travels. When her conscious travels back in time it leaves these memories behind in her past self.

ok, call me crazy, but what if they made a prequel to the prequel, so this one follows Rachel's origin story? Assuming the pyrokinesis theory is correct. Plus they could also tie in some other loose end like if the Prescotts really knew about the storm.

I can't believe there's nothing in the iceberg about the symbols you can find drawn on the back of the lighthouse in episode one. It's probably the most perplexing thing in the game. Max thinks to herself that they remind her of the wind for some reason.
I'm glad I watched these Lis 1 Icebergs as well. I missed that Rachel hooked up with Jefferson. Which really just shows she wasn't a great person. Didn't mean she deserved to die. But Chloe deserved better.

Here's my theory what if Chloe seeing Rachel on fire means that Rachel just got burned meaning as Rachel manipulated and I guess tricked people the same thing ended up happening back at her by being manipulated and tricked by Jefferson and then getting killed. So like I said she got burned.

I personally don't think Jefferson really was with Rachel intimately, or at least dug her body up from the grave... I mean there's the letter of course, but not sure if they really went that deep together? After all, whatever Jefferson said in the nightmare, it's still Max' nightmare. When she talks to him in the classroom, in the nightmare, all she can say are things like "I love you Jefferson" , "I'm glad Chloe is dead" , "Our dark room" etc. which are exactly the things Max hates saying. So the nightmare is just a collaboration of pure hell for Max, the things she NEVER wishes to think about. Still think it's fucked up what Jefferson said in there, but I dont think it really happened that way. Especially the grave digging...
that's an interesting theory! I always got the vibe that Jefferson and Rachel had a ✨️thing✨️ but it was exaggerated in the nightmare.

Mr . Amber backstory about Sara you see Sara while holding baby Rachel with the same bracelet Rachel wears what if Sara gave it too frank which is why he has it in the first life is strange game . I say that because depends on the decision you make when talking to Sara in the end of the game one of the choices is the give her the bracelet, leading to frank saying it was a gift from a friend too Chloe. Or Rachel gave it too him that's my theory.

i watched a bit of the early built video and Max asks Chloe (and multiple other people) about Jessie and Chloe says her full name was Jessie Palmer which confirms that Rachel was indeed supposed to be called Jessie, there are also some weird photos (of real people?) in Max dairy of Mr Jefferson and Rachel :)

i’m assuming they put “thanks for crying” in there as a reference to mr. jefferson OR as a genuine thanks for enjoying the story if it made you cry… plus saying “thank for crying!” right after your list of staff is kinda rude i guess…. hmmm

Regarding the Rachel and Fire connection:
The word "Amber" is just one letter away from "Ember".
The story is in different universes, is you can see LIS 2 doesn’t talk too much about max or anyone, most likely because it might not be at the same time or the same place, but to me the story in different universes doesn’t matter, my theory is the butterfly gave max her powers, as you can see there might be a storm in the first scene but that could be a nightmare. But if you look later in the game aka episode 1, right after she takes the picture of the butterfly and her friend Chloe die to Mather, her powers activate and the butterfly picture is basically always hinted at in later episodes.
Hold on did I make any typos I’m this? I wasn’t thinking clearly, but if I did I meant “the butterfly gave max her powers cuz right after her friend Chloe dies her powers activate
