Just an idea. You guys could set up an assembly line. One person cuts the skin on the cats. One person skins them. The last person fillets them. It's so much quicker. Good job, buddy.

Come to Ontario Canada.....I've got quite a few catfish/mudcat spots you can go to at dusk. You can't keep em off your hook!

The spawn is also still going on in some places and it's hard getting cats during the spawn. Been catfishing weekly during the spring to fall for 27 years and this year was the worst spawn ever. I couldn't get one fish on some trips. It can be harder catching cats in super clear water as well

@@jdroberts981 dang it's warmer there then where i live. Might mean I got even longer then i thought before the spawn is over. We had an extra cold and long winter and big time weather changes from cold to hot this spring. I think it threw the cats off and definitely threw me off.

I've never seen catfish like that caught in such clear water. Sight fishing is also something I've never seen for catfish.

Looked like a broken jaw that in turn caused a huge abscess sore. That sore looked like and infected abscess. Should still be ok to eat and you might be doing him a favor since life must suck being a catfish with a jaw like that. Probably why he was so skinny cause he has a harder time eating. You should bleed them first. Then put them on ice. They taste better.
How do you bleed them?
@@hdz3943, cut the gills and throw them in the water. You can knock yu them out, so they don't suffer. As long as the heart is still pumping, it will bleed the same . You can also cut the tail off.
