Our First SEMI ROLLOVER RECOVERY With 2 Rotators!

- The Wilcox crew was dispatched to a semi rollover where a tractor trailer spilled its load of coal making a huge mess to clean up. The Kubota mini excavator was the perfect tool to recover the coal where it was hauled back to the Wilcox yard. Watch as we put both rotators to work for a smooth recovery of this wrecked tractor trailer.

The 2 Rotators make the work a lot easier. Great video of the first use of 2 rotators.
I have done lots of over turned coal trucks. Pulled them back over from the side of Autocar with 850 Holmes on it. Times were much simpler.😉
Jamie Davis likes his Holmes 850 'Mighty Mo' still using it today up in BC Canada on Highway thru Hell!
@@tdotw77 850 are a one of a kind piece of equipment!!!!!😉
one of the nicest landings ive seen in a long time, good work
Thanks for sharing your work
I especially like the editing down to this length
Some companies would have made it an hour to an hour and a half
Your friend Scott on the west coast of Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks for the feedback! This has been a focus since the start of the channel. Keep the most important parts in the video, and cut all the unnecessary parts, like walking back and forth from the trucks. Keeping the attention of the viewers is important.
Good teamwork all around, I liked that camera angle showing the lift & landing that big rig back on it's wheels.
Great job, after watching a lot of Ron P. and his sons (who, after years of on-the-job training, still have no clue how to do the rigging properly) this is a breath of fresh air .. subbed
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻
Excellent. Could not ask for anything better.
Nice job with the Rotators. What a mess that was with all the coal spilled everywhere! 👍🏻👌🏻🚧⚠️🚜🏗️
Great teamwork, and life is good with 2 rotators.
Good job guys
Love ur heavy wrecker
That's how you Roll Coal....over! Lol
Nice recovery 👍
Well done gentlemen
Awesome job
very good job !!! very nice rotator !!!!
Super job great to see these rotaters in action.
We get nothing like them in the UK
Thank you! We are very fortunate to be able to have the work to justify having 2 of them...And there are still much larger ones available than what we have in our operation!
Great recovery by team Wilcox 👍 nice to see the two rotators working
Nicely done.
How uncomfortable the victim driver must have felt when such a combination took on a life of its own.
Thank you! We never spoke with the driver, but yes it looked like a rough landing.
That was a major clean up and to see it back in the yard was a surprise guess you gotta put it somewhere! Great camera work and team work! Was cool to see the 5 axle pulling away with the tractor and dump bed! Good job will be looking for the next one! Take care be safe!
We can easily scoop it back up and reload it onto another trailer when the time comes. When the 65 ton was pulling the tractor trailer, I couldn't even tell it was back there.
The days of the old mechanical wreckers w/ a couple old logging chains and a 6X6 block are long gone/.
They certainly are! We are definitely spoiled with the ease of what this equipment will do.
Nice smooth upright
If you put a long zip-tie on on ent of your rim slings, the will be much easier to fish through, especially with gloves on.
Thanks for the tip, I may have to try that some time. 👍🏻
Great job!
Classic rigging and a highly well controlled roll and landing, great communications and nice to see both Wreckers working in harmony. 👍 🇺🇸🤝🇬🇧
Thank you!
Awesome recovery
Nice and gentle.
Beautiful landing of that truck! You made that recovery a work of a master artist. Very satisfying to watch. Excellent clean-up as well.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻
Well done guys
Great job love the video
Very cool
Another successful recovery you have some beautiful trucks
Up & over just slick as butter, it makes it much easier with 2 fantastic rotators
Crazy to think the force of the rollover to spread the coal that far
Yeah, that's kinda what we thought too!
Outstand Recovery and Video everyone had a job to do and it was done very well ... Zack did a great job with the 50 ton rotator and the both of you did a great job with the nice smooth landing .. At the 29.57 mark that was an interesting tool that you hooked to your boom looks like a Super Duty hinge plate I believe that's the first time I've seen that on your videos does that recovery tool have a name ??? Take care if you're a Dad Happy Father's day
Thank you! The piece you are referring to is called the Ketcher Hook. It hooks into the end of the boom and allows for more rigging points by adding up to 3 shackles. This piece is only something used on NRC equipment.
great video and job
Pfft and you didn't even invite me to the fun.
Maybe next time! 😂
@@WilcoxGarageRecovery just give me a 3 hour head start and I’ll be there 😂
berner go figure
Nice equipment 😅.. makes easy work of a rollover like this?!!
As I said before....clean, sharp equipment. Kinda ironic there is $3000000 worth of equipment sitting there and the 1st thing you grab is a shovel😄😄. Great job. How do you get by without any DOT numbers or name on the new rotator?
Sometimes, a shovel is all it takes to start 😂 The decals should be installed soon, but generally, we are exempt from a lot of rules when it involves an emergency situation.
Real life Trucking replace all the phony Internet' AI Trucking
NEW SCRIBER HERE. ENJOYED IT. WHAT KIND OF CDL IS REQUIRED TO DRIVE THAT BIG ROTATER?
Thank you! Just to drive it you would need a Class B, but to tow with it you would need a Class A
Do guys still have the red wrecker? I think it was a 40 ton not sure.
We do still have it, however it will soon be sold. We will have the 50 and 65 for heavy lifting, towing, and recovery jobs, and then will have 2 tractors with Quickswaps for everyday semi tractor towing. Plus, we are still currently reworking our grandpa's old 27 ton, which will be several months yet til it's operational.
💯💯💯👌👌👌👍👍👍💪💪💪⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I liked the recovery, but set the camera up someplace and hold it still. I almost got sick to my stomach with all the spinning around. Ellis
Thank you! When working a recovery like this the hat mounted camera is the easiest way to capture the most of the recovery. I am not sure why it seemed to have that effect more with this particular video, maybe because of the rain. We recently purchased another newer model of that camera, so hopefully it helps.
Nice job but let's be honest the real star of the show is on the outro. Sunny and blue sky that's a rare occurrence in Ohio😂😂😂
I seriously can't watch the rest of this from the one guy just looking like he's never seen a wrecker to the excessive chains and straps my god pull the cover off the lift cylinder and get it done and yes I was running a big wrecker when these guys were in nutville so I know a thing or two about a thing or two 25 years worth had the third 60 ton bill bottoms built we did minor stuff like this with one truck we had no choice covered two big of a area
wow superman thats awesome
We prefer more of a methodical approach so that our rigging and equipment is not abused, instead of the ‘Grip it and rip it’ mindset. Sorry we're a little “two” slow for your liking 🤷♂️
Yeah, back in the day they didn't mind doing extra damage, it was all about speed.
...Thankfully, those days are over.
@WilcoxGarageRecovery so you would rim sling it as opposed to rim chain if you trying to not do damage?
@@Tanks_In_Space Right, there is a reason they make million dollar tow trucks now.
