I can't get enough of grandma. Lidia's relationship with her mother is so sweet. I love to see them in the kitchen together. I can just imagine that they have been doing that throughout Lydia's upbringing. It's precious.
I could watch lidia and her Nona all day long. they are the real authentic Italian cooks.

Italians must know something about pasta that we Americans don't. Then again, maybe its the olive oil or the garlic... idk, but whatever it is, Grandma is still alive, healthy and in her right frame of mind- Wow!
It has been proven, and studies have been made, that extra virgin olive oil when consumed daily keeps a person's veins soft and pliable on the inside. . You are what you eat. It's oil from a plant, not animal based.

Dear Lidia, and if I come home from a hard days work, or I'm done my house work and then I want to relax, or I'm upset about something and want to relax, or the sun is shining, or the rain is falling... I watch your cooking. There's always a perfect time for watching Lidia. And I actually use what I learn, with excellent results.
Oh I love when you two are in the kitchen reminds me of my mom ,grandmother, and I around the table. My grandmother lived to 99 , my mom to 89 how I miss hearing them speak Italian and our quality time together.

I love watching your shows. Everything looks so clean and great. Gotta love those grandma's. I was close to mine, and she had a sense of humor. She was picky about some things, but she was a loving person. She passed away in 2005, and I still dream about going to grandma's house and see her hair up in curls.

I've made this many times & instead of peas I steam spinach, strain all the water & combine with the ricotta, I never add eggs to the mixture, it binds just fine without them plus you can lick the spoon afterward. Great dish!

I love this video so much. it such a heart warming scene. I don't have the luxury to grow up and cook alongside my grandma because she passed away when I was 2 or 3 yo (can't remember). All I know from the story was that, she really loves to cook and was a great cook too. lol I'm tearing up typing this because no matter how many dishes that I cook for myself, I can't share it with her. Everyone, if you have the luxury of having a grandparents, take some time out of your busy life, and just...be with them. Take some life advices, or recipes, or whatever that you can from them. They are old people with loads of experience and life wisdoms, plus you will make their day if you do so. I'm sorry, not trying to be a smart ass, I'm just....I am really jealous watching Lidia cooking with her mom aka Grandma. Wishing everyone's family members a healthy and prosperous life

Hi Lidia! -- I have a guy best friend and he has Italian in his blood so him and I were talking about food and he told me, "I have to show you this chef! She's amazing!" He showed me when we were on lunch break at school and I started to love watching your videos since he showed me! Here's something else that is amazing, I was watching my show MasterChef with my mom and we found out Joe is your son! My mom and I love him as a judge on the show and you did an amazing job as a guest judge that on that episode!
