You had the Righteous Brothers turning out "Unchained Melody" and Mel Carter's "Hold Me Thrill Me". Jackie Wilson with "Stardust" would've been a monster hit alongside those standards, IMHO.

Saying nearly every black performer had taken something from him too. See this is TRUE UNBIASED MUTUAL RESPECT AND ADMIRATION. Something today's youngsters need to learn from. Neither Jackie nor Elvis saw color. If they liked something they liked it. There wasn't any of this ridiculous. Uh I ain't gonna listen to that coz it was recorded by a white guy or a black guy.
