Remember when covering a wreath frame like you did, you can use old news papers. Just anything to catch and hold the foam. That way you don’t use up all your good ribbon.

I love the spider such a great idea. I will be making one thank you. The skeleton display looks awsome. One thing though I would do is tint the hands as well, so to match the heads. 😊

When using pool noodles use a heat gun to bond noodles together instead of glue heat gun melts them together and they're solid!

You dont even need to cut the Great Stuff. Spray it with water and wait 5 mins for it to develop a 'skin' then you can gently mold it into the desired shape.

A trick I learned for "aging" my plastic bones involves an aquarium (5-10 gallon) and the cheapest instant coffee blend you can find. Fill the aquarium until you cover your bones or skulls by about an inch. Now remove the bones from the still clear water and then add your instant coffee mix and stir until the water is a very dark brown. You can now put the plastic bones back in overnight to soak. If your bones tend to float you have three choices (1. weigh them down or 2. place a couple of inconspicuous holes to allow the air to drain out or 3. allow them to float and simply flip them over). When you think you have achieved the aged look you want set them out to air dry. Avoid touching them while they air dry till you are certain you can pick them up without smudging the results. This method gets into the nooks and crannies without extra detail work and if they are too dark for your liking simply dab the bones with a clean rag till you reach the level you want (this still leaves the nooks and crannies a darker shade).

Coat hands with dish soap, let dry, I usually do at least 2 coats. So much easier to clean hands later. Works for oil base paint too.

@@LetsArtToday I used to be a painter, lol, depending on the paint and caulks, silicones, they could be a HUGE pain to get off my hands. I always kept a bottle of dawn in my tool box. So around 5am one mornin', I thought, "hmmmm, I wonder.. ." Never worked without it again.
Oh cool. Does it have to be Dawn specifically or just any dish soap?
@@LetsArtToday I've used a few different ones(prefer dawn), but 2 layers of any will likely work. If it's one that seems thinner, do another layer 🙂
YES!! We used to do this with our pans when we went camping so that when you cooked over a fire you could just wash the soot right off!!!! I never thought of doing it on your hands! Brilliant!

I use black eye shadow to shade in the cracks and stuff on the skulls and it surprisingly doesn't wash off in rain when I put them outside! I do use paint on them too...and clay powder mixed with carpenter's glue. I tint it with the paint. This video popped up in my feed this morning- I subscribed. You're so cool! I do stuff like this all the time and I love seeing how you approach everything! The Dollar Tree kicks ass during Haloween! I grab lots of spooky thingies and keep them around for the next year. It's also where I get all of my socks...hahaa! I buy Halloween socks once a year and stock up on them from several Dollar stores since each store has different socks. I look forward to watching more of your videos!

@LetsArtToday It's funny because I do special fx makeup and I apply the techniques from that to dolls and skulls ND whatever else...but with permanent materials. If I were to do the makeup version of the skulls, I would use liquid latex and an alcohol activated makeup palette like Skin Illustrator makeup. But for non -human items, I use paint and glue.

New subscriber here! Love the skulls!! Just an FYI, if you wear gloves with the expanding foam, when it forms a skin, but before it dries, you can oat & mold it (less trimming).

Spray styrofoam is the worst thing for the planet and now its being used in crafts.
