    You covered quite a bit in this one. I think it's my fave so far.
    Enjoy the tea and thank you Monty.

    If Monty tries coffee, might P.M. try tea? This is great seeing the tools and techniques, plus the challenges one must work through to build an instrument.

    Monty, who told you that you have to keep your vlogs to 10 minutes maximum? I enjoy your vlog content but if you look at other DIY shows on TH-cam, these Shows are at least 20 to 40 minutes. If I need to do something at the time I’m watching your video, I stop it and pick it up where I left off later. Also, you don’t have to upload every day. Upload when you have accomplished a segment of you build that satisfies you or pick a constant day or two of the week to upload. Your not going to loose viewership, you will probably grow at a faster rate that you have. Just adding my two cents to the consortium of thought, nothing more! I truly enjoy your personality and instrument build!👍

      I appreciate that a lot. I will give it a go. I want to do better video which means I need more time to learn some software. Thanks for the advice.

    Oh the suspense! I definitely had 20 minutes for you, Monty! Maybe I should have a cup of tea while I wait... How about an Irish breakfast?

    Don't worry about video length Monty. People will just pause and come back to finish watching the rest. Joe Rogan (one of the most popular channels on TH-cam) uploads 1hr, 2hr sometimes 3hr long interviews with people and he gets millions of views still.

    • @MontyMcKinnon
      @MontyMcKinnon  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow...how does he do that? I'm still learning. lol

    If you have good dust collection, which you should, then it would really be no issue. Just dust your gear off after the session. My gear is doing just fine after 7 years or so in the workroom.

    You need to get a English Breakfast Tea sponsor. Looks like it would be easy to accidently burn your hands when working the wood over that heater.

    Excellent Monty, great tip on the bandsaw, I would have cut it on the flat not knowing any better. Coffee? Monty said Coffee?? I had to replay that part.👍

    • @MontyMcKinnon
      @MontyMcKinnon  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but you still need to sneak up on the cut carefully. lol

    • @ByronMaddox
      @ByronMaddox 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same here. Never would have thought you could make a cut upright on a piece that thin without the blade bouncing. I noticed he tipped it just slightly to keep the chatter down and make a smooth cut which worked beautifully. BTW. Important safety tip. Notice he cannot see where his fingers are in relationship to the blade. The first indication that he misjudged the length of the cutoff would be his fingers going through the blade.

    • @MontyMcKinnon
      @MontyMcKinnon  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am VERY careful about where I position my hands on the cut.

    Just got to wonder about somethin'..
    How did they go about bending the wood in the old days, without electricity?
    Did they also use heat or did they go about it in some other way, whilst bending the wood that is? 😁

    • @MontyMcKinnon
      @MontyMcKinnon  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a great Q&A for teatime. The would take a pipe and light a fire in the one end to heat the pipe.

    Can’t coffee and EBtea live in harmony? How late in the day can breakfast still be?
