You know the European version gets a moonroof ( not the regular sunroof) heated rear seats and (I’m not 100% sure) vented front seats, but no rear ac vents
In Europe and Asia ,rear vents and usb-c are installed.
Noone cares about Europe not in the slightest when it comes to vehicles
@@RickStein-i9oPeople in Europe or Asia probably care.
That's good news for future year models for those that can wait in the US.
That's because European standards are higher than ours? Maybe.
@@RickStein-i9o Only if they get more standard features than us like rear air vents and USB C ports then I really care, because I want what they have that we haven't. Please Honda 🙏 five us rear air vents and USB C ports in our US model Civic Hybrid!
This may be my next car. I could do without the sunroof, but can live with it.
Thank goodness it don't have the autostop/start! I HAAATEEE ITTTT!
Of course it does. It's a HYBRID. So it stops the gas engine when it sits idle, while it keeps the electric one running, and can run on electric at slow speed at initial acceleration, and then starts the gas one when the pedal is pressed.
@@TheOtherKinelol I think the person is referring to a button called the “auto start/stop” that is still in the regular civic, just not included in the hybrid version now. Since it’s a hybrid, it won’t need Honda’s auto start stop feature that would turn off the car’s engine when the car is stopped at a light or stopped in general (to try and conserve gas). Of course since it’s a hybrid now, there’s no need for that feature which is why it’s excluded.
If you hate the auto start, you're really going to hate a hybrid.... Changes between batter use and engine use.
Thank you for your APPRECIATION to your subscribers Tom😊
It looks good I might get one i love civics 🎉🎉🎉
I love that they got rid of the chrome window trim. Thats the only thing that I dont like about my 2024 sport touring hatchback
Can buy a spare tire and will it fit in the Hybrid Civic
Nice looking car. Noticeable road noise on cement highway. I love your perspective on the features.
Not what I hear. I heard it has active noise cancellation in the cabin, therefore sounding more quiet than previous version.
@@MrR4ge89 It IS a little bit more quite than the previous versions, but it's still quite noticeable due to the thinner tyres
Needs a bigger infotainment screen and AWD
And it’ll be perfect
I'm excited to test drive this car and waiting for some to arrive at my local Honda dealership. I'm very disappointed that the Sport Touring doesn't have driver seat lumbar support (I've got a bad lower back), and rear vents and usb-c. These are the touches that make a car feel more refined. I don't think this will happen with Honda, but I would love the option to have more 'luxury' amenities like you find in the Accord (especially if you're willing to pay for the top trim line). In America, smaller cars are considered "entry" vehicles and equipped accordingly. Mazda, Hyundai, and Kia are all equipping there smaller cars with more 'luxury' options and it would be great if Honda did so also.
Those 3 options are what I would have also liked, but it's a Civic, and we are not quite there yet with a Civic being the bigger car (it's already become so big, closer to the Accord, when it should be WAY smaller!!!! like it used to be), so the options get limited, I guess, but they give you passenger seat electric adjustability and heated seats, so go figure.
But lets not compare Honda to Kias, since Kias are just trying to compete with their junk is why they stick on so many options just to sell their junk LMAO
It comes with an pump to inflate the tire like a bicycle nice
It needs 17 inch wheels as an option.
I’d take 16s.
A heads up if you're planning on buying a new Civic. Lots of 2025 Civics are on a STOP SALE notice from Honda because of a recall for the high-pressure fuel pump. I tried to buy a 25 Sport sedan last week and the dealer wouldn't sell it to me because of the open recall that Honda currently has no fix for. I was very disappointed in Honda.
Are the self driving features the same? The 24 accord is unusable. The 22 civic was great! Wondering if maybe the weight of the car has increased and cause issues with the LKAS
Thanks Tom. I would prefer no sunroof.
I agree!!! I just got the Sedan, and the sunroof is there, even though I will NEVER use it lol
The a/c vents are a deal breaker for me. I have a small family and would like a smaller car for city driving.
If the car is small you don't need rear vents
@@ballathug8404 exactly 😂😂😂😂
It is small. It's compact. Any smaller, then get you a coupe or toyota corolla.
Accords have it so you will have to opt for that one.
You can install a rear vent and usb kit without to much trouble.
Seems like the Camry LE is a better choice. Better MPGs, more power, and actually costs less. I still need to drive the Civic Hybrid to compare driving characteristics. I do like the looks of the Civic better. These are my top 2 choices for a new car right now.
I test drove a new 2025 Camry SE and the new 2025 Civic hybrid sport touring. Man, the Camry still feels like a Toyota with a cheaper feeling interior and the driving engagement is so much better on the Civic. On the Camry, It's definitely a step up from the last generation, but still. Everything from the steering, to the suspension, to even letting off the gas pedal, the Civic just felt so much better. The new Camry is great, but It just doesn't give the same engagement as a Honda.
I drove both, and I ended up with the Civic, purely for the stereo option LOL I need my stereo. And in order to get the upgraded stereo in the Camry, since it is more a competitor to the Accord, it will top $40K, and I could not do that.
I am also not a race car driver and don't even drive that way on normal roads, I drive like a snail, so didn't need the sporty drivability of this Civic, so it is what it is LOL, it's definitely stiffer than the Camry, you can feel the road more, whereas the Camry drives real smooth and cuts out the bumps in the road really well
Everyone needs to test drive both cars back to back and decide. I test drove both the 2025 Camry Hybrid and the Civic Hybrid and the Civic just felt like the superior driving car. I test drove a BMW I4 few months back, and the Civic reminded me of that kind of driving experience. It drives like an EV.
For me it’s just missing rear vents and awd
Which has a more comfortable interior this or the accord ? Not like I can afford any but I'm curious
Actually I just got one and it’s spacious. I’m 6.1 and feel comfortable.
Accord. Softer ride
I like this car. But it might be too small for me. 48 mpg is fine!
That nearly exact car here in the UK is, drumroll, wait for it the equivalent of $50,000, yes you heard that right so please never ever complain about the price of cars in the US or Canada I have one of these, well the hatchback, and it's worth every dollar you will pay, the hype is true it's much quicker than the power output would have you believe and if most of your drive is local the Gas stations will not see much of you, lol.
It's roughly 45k in Canada were getting slaughtered just like you guys.
Weird how the 5 eyes nations are all seemingly under attack or something?
Gas or Hybrid? Either way. Gas only gets you 35mpg, while the hybrid is 49mpg. Which aren't much in our modern world, when the Prius can get up above 60mph for smart drivers, with an electric-only option if charged, for within 30 miles local driving
@@TheOtherKine I get well over 60mpg on the highway and have seen 68mpg from my Civic hybrid, which is on UK gallons, it's self-charging and runs mostly on electricity in city driving, it's every bit as good overall as a plug-in that's only good on fuel whilst it has battery charge, after that they are terrible on fuel. Great for short journeys bad on the open road.
12.6. And two electric motors
Seems like I’m hearing a lot of road noise when you’re on the highway.
It's due to the thinner tyres, and the Honda's belief that they want to give you a "Sport" car type experience
I want to trade my 18 sport touring for this model 😭
cooled seats.
no cvt in this car
I just don’t like the new grill look. I like the black accents under the headlights better and I also don’t like the lower grill, there’s to much plastic not enough of an opening.
So they got rid of the rear usb ports for the 2025. Ridiculous they did that.
A loaded civic is almost 40 grand
Well, it is if you want ALL the trinket accessories, sure LOL
I got the Sedan Hybrid Sport Touring with the all-weather rubber mats and splash guards for $32K. They gave me the cloth mats too but I have them in the wrapper and are not using them, they're in my garage.
What it doesn't have are the sticker on the rear trunk ledge, and also the driver and passenger door sill film to protect the metal from scratches.
Don't need all the other things like spoilers, moulding, extra illumination. The basic package is good with the all-season flooring.
Once he said no fog lights I said no, Honda losing their touch while Toyota losing with their truck recalls and over priced base model tacoma
How do you sell cars without a spare tire!! How stupid! So if you get a flat tire on the road you can no longer change your own tire and be on your way in a half hour?! You have to wait for an hour or two to be TOWED! STUPID!
They give you the inflation foam kit in the back so you can pump it up enough to ride to the nearest repair place
@@TheOtherKine and every tire shop hates those inflating foam cans. Just look inside a wheel after using it once. It goops up the whole inside of your wheel. Stays their forever.
Compared to Toyota, it's an inefficient hybrid system. It barely helps on the electric side. The electric engine is not powerful enough to go up even the slightest incline compared to a Prius. because the Civic is a heavy feeling car.
It wasn't necessary to put in a 200-HP gas engine. They should have put in a smaller one, and then pumped up the electric engine, but for some reason they wanted to keep its "image" that it's a sporty car still, and put in this monster engine that was never needed in a hybrid. If they had done what Toyota is doing with the Corolla, this Civic could have easily got 60mpg, so I don't understand this waste. The engineers at Honda misunderstood what the torque and efficiency would be on an electric engine. This was a wasted opportunity to take a big leap forward, especially when they took a break from the hybrid for a few years.
Hi Brian Kehm, I love your content! I'm interested in discussing a potential collaboration. Could you let me know the best way to reach you? Thanks!
😊
Clearly, you don't know anything about the technical specifications of the 2.0L Atkinson cycle direct injection engine paired with a 2-motor automatic transmission.
No ventilated seats... You had 1 job Honda...
Yeah. But it has remote start so you can cool the car before you get in, and the AC is wicked strong. I know, because yesterday I was out and it was 110 degrees, I put the remote start on for a couple minutes and it was perfectly cool inside.
It looks dull and very mundane. I'll keep my Gen 10 Coupe.
The 2025. Big mouth looking grill looks wierd! The 2024 looks better!
Agreed 💯 👍.
It's a long-nose look that is for sure LOL
