This raises a lot of questions... here are two that keep popping up in my mind: 1) if the xmen are resurrected does that mean Wolverine now has no adamantium ? 2) If the xmen died in space does that mean their souls are in the realm of Mephisto, or the white hot room, or all the lther places souls go to? And does that mean that the newly "hatched" xmen are actually just soulless beings? Or new souls?
I agree with the second one. Especially since cyclops had one eye before this event, then he was okay going on a suicide run, and now is basically soulless
I’m loving how Hickman has captured the spirit of nation building philosophies in HoX and PoX. I wish this was available when I was a child I would have been SO into it and bought every single book!
If you think about it... there is really no force on Earth that can stop them now. There shouldn't be, anyway. Apocalypse, Magneto, Professor X... their teams combined?!! Mutant immortality? As long as they have a defense program set up for the island, mutants in place to defend it 24/7... then short of Galactus teaming up with Dormamu to take them down, they are set for life. Hickman would have to come up with something pretty F'd up to screw this time line up. Time traveling Nimrod with the Phalanx maybe?
One major weakness is that without those five mutants the resurrection is no longer viable so if they get taken out everyone else stays dead. One method i could think of to fix that is for the mutants to combine the five of them in one entity and produce multiple copies of that entity which given the things we have seen sinister and Apocalypse pull by modifying mutants in the past/ future is definitely possible. It would be like the mutants having their own version of the mother mould a self replicating system designed to endlessly recreate the strongest mutants over and over if necessary.
@Encore Baby If all of them banded together, sure, they're a threat... but each on their own? No. Sentry IS powerful, but his main weakness is mental manipulation. Xavier is the most powerful telepath on Earth... so with Emma, Jean and Proff... Sentry is out. Wolverine has taken down Ghost Rider before... alone. Dr. Doom is also powerful, but against all these mutants? No. Same with the others. It would take (as in Moira's other life) a combined effort of all the heroes of earth to stand a chance. But now that Apocalypse and Magneto are with Xavier... it just make them so OP. They have 3 mutants for every situation. Redundancy after redundancy.
@Encore Baby Agreed. There's always a way to write around anything. Thor beat Sentry by himself once, but then again Sentry toyed with Thor like he was a child another time. It really does depend on the writers... like how Apocalypse only took down one Nimrod before supposedly being killed by the other two. My point is that short of Hickman just saying "because I said so," the FULL united force of ALL mutant kind should be enough to stand against anything the Marvel Comic Universe can throw at them... I mean... short of Franklin Richards... who could end up joining them.
@@mangoman1073, I agree. I think people whom dwell on this forget that the greater plan is the most important. Apocalypse knows of his wife Moira X's powers and knows what awaits him in her next life. This was all planned out to allow Wolverine time to retreat without Nimrod learning of any of their plans otherwise Nimrod would have figured out the importance of Krakoa, Moira and her other lives.
white america's worst nightmare... not all of Apocalypse’s powers are mutant. Some come from his body absorbing & adapting to the technovirus, which later allowed him access to even more powers via Celestial Tech.
Did y’all catch that the clone of Cyclops’ eyes were glowing even though they were open, he wasn’t blasting his optic beams all over the place. Then Xavier put the visor on him before he gave him the original Cyclops’ brain patterns and memories, that’s because of Cyclops’ his mental blocks that keep it from controlling his powers. Charles did that because he knew that Scott would probably blast his head off by accident once he gave him his memories.
Snow_Ploww thank you for the appropriate and respectful reply. that makes more sense now. do you think that they will explain it with a sentence or just leave it up in the air?
He shouldn't have an adamantium skeleton. It was bonded by department H, removed by Magneto, bonded again by Holocaust. Maybe they have a stash of adamantium and a lab where they take Logan afterwards and go "Listen, we know it's painful and that it can drive you mad but it's part of your brand, so let's do it quickly. We'll have clothes, steak, beer and a cigar waiting for you. Cool?"

@ComicsExplained Yo! Ive gotta say as an avid collector in the 90s, an ex-comic store employee, and a comic artist, ur coverage of this amazing Hickman series is the only reason Ive jumped back into collecting Xmen comics in almost 20 years. This is the best X story since Claremont and Asteroid M and I can feel the history in the making! Exciting times, bro. Im dying to see where he takes this story in these series', Dawn of X and, hopefully, the MCU. Cheers!
This is so well done finally a storyline that wraps up all the loose ends and continues so many storylines without actually messing up the storyline . Allowing readers from multiple story arcs a chance to start fresh.
That’s so awesome. Apocalypse showing up and basically saying “Checkmate” after his vision is finally realized while also joining the X-Men and making peace. Followed by Xavier’s “Welcome Home” line. WOW.

You may have missed the line, but Magnus indeed said to Charles right after the cloning “They (humanity) should have killed us when they had the chance.” so yeah...
This writing is AMAZING! Just the pure depth of combining these characters and giving them a certain level meaning as a collective is just ....... amazing!!!!
one question: where's Moira in this life? why isn't she beside charles and magneto? I love this trio and I think the three characters have a lot to give us
If this is 616 then Moira is in the grave. But Xavier is running around in his own body I think so it shouldn't be 616 unless he pod people'd himself a body of course. Though, no reason for Moira to stay dead because pod people. Nothing matters anymore.
@@mangoman1073 I sincerely hope it is a good thing because it was so good she was a mutant and the lives we were shown and as after many tries and saw and wanted the charles next door. Did people forget apocalypse gave Logan his adamatium back also when he made him a horse man too so if the reality warping isn't what happened it could be that, cause that event would still have to happen
I do not understand how Xavier would ever attempt to resurrect Jean Grey. If he has been informed about the important events that have happened in the previous timelines, then he really ought to know that the Phoenix Force is very likely to resurrect Jean on its own. She's the "Chosen One", after all. Moreover, even without the aid of the Phoenix Force, Jean just recently brought herself back to life (a' la Watchmen's Dr. Manhattan) during the Poison-X arc. That final note on Resurrection Protocol in House of X #5 mentions "fears regarding duplication" strikes me as very ominous.
What I wonder is how much of their memory is actually there. Do they remember all of the last mission? Do they remember dying? Why push so hard to get home if they could just be reborn?
@@theinternetjerk9597 Did you read the issue. This was all explained. What happened to them is no different than what already happened to Jean via the Phoenix eggs.

Terrible Gamer Elixir is an Omega-level mutant, capable of controlling the biological structure of any organic matter including his own body. He must be in proximity to whomever he uses his power on.Besides healing, Elixir can: -boost and restore mutant abilities -Keenly detect any abnormalities in a person’s body such as T.O.V cells in Archangel’s posterior, cancer in The Gamemaster Tre Bek and even sensed the effect of magical inversion on Sabretooth -Manipulate the life-forces of others -Cleansing the body of drugs (which is a great benefit for some of Elixir’s “more cool” teammates on the X-men when Xavier would come around with “the cups”) -create deadly tumors within a person (remembering one issue where he got a bit spooky and manifested a X-shaped tumor in a villain’s brain!) The Stepford Cuckoos telepathically transfer the Beast's knowledge of anatomy, biology, and genetics into Elixir’s mind so now he has the ability to cure anything. Additionally, Elixir has absolute control over his own biology; resulting in Elixir being virtually immortal. He can be killed but his powers grant him the ability to resurrect himself, even possessing the power to be reborn into a new body (for some reason). Simply put, he has total, cheat code levels of regeneration, even at the cellular level (Wolverine’s healing factor is a garbage tier joke in comparison). Since his rebirth, Elixir can bring people back from dead as seen as when he was able to affect the 16 million dead mutants on Genosha at once, and although it quickly drained him out of energy and he passed out, Monet and Magneto speculated, that Elixir was fully capable of resurrecting them all. **Caution: This is NOT a story the Jedi would tell you. It is a Sith Legend**
So how are they gonna put their original souls back? I mean clones have new souls. That being confirm with several clones in Marvel history. So a future story arc maybe where they go abd get their souls back?
LMAO Hickman doesn't care about the continuity of a non X-Men story right now. What happened with those stories have nothing to do with what happens here. They have their souls and their minds. Only Nightcrawler is different.
Another amazing video. Loving this series. Tried to pick up issues but they are sold out on all powers and house. Thanks for the vids rob. Btw dont know if youre aware but how loud your voice is fluctuates alot in your videos like halfway through it gets quite and then comes back
So did they clone the adamantium in wolverine? I assume his new cloned body is adamantium free and he’s back to bone claws or are they going to fuse the him with adamantium again?
Proteus can manipulate reality so I'm assuming that's how they'll circumnavigate that issue. They'll probably throw some pseudo science in the mix on how he manipulated Logan's bones to make them organic adamantium or some shit.
what about Cyclops? if he's a clone, shouldn't he control his Blasts since he never hit his head?and what of Angel? WHEN was his DNA taken? before or after Apocalypse made him into Archangel ?
Dodge Morningstar word. Remember his first clone the one that died in Recent suicide mission had the same issue after he and the other X-men were impregnated /assimilated by the brood in the 90s. At the time wolverine was the only one to escape that because of his healing factor rejected the brood impregnation.
nick cruz If I remember correctly one of the telepaths, I think it was Emma who said that Cyclops has a type of PTSD from his powers manifesting and being thrown out of the airplane by his dad to save them. Also I think it’s his stubbornness of wanting to remember what happened that night, so his messed up powers are a memento of that event.

I translated the last two pages and it says
"For the children"
And
"I am not ashamed of what I am"
I’m loving how Hickman has captured the spirit of nation building philosophies in HoX and PoX. I wish this was available when I was a child I would have been SO into it and bought every single book!
"This is a good place. It is fertile and ours, and from this land we will not be moved."- MAGNETO
Apocalypse, Magneto, Charles Xavier & Mr Sinister under one mutant nation. Wow this is history right here 💯
If you think about it... there is really no force on Earth that can stop them now.
Time traveling Nimrod with the Phalanx maybe?
sassy Sinister, no less.
I agree with you. Apocalypse should have destroyed Nimrod
I also agree. Nimrod winning that one was absolute bullshit
I think it was part of the plan to lose as you don’t really see him exercise his powers
@@mangoman1073,
I agree.
I have a theory. I don't think that was the true apocalypse. I think it was Evan.
This book gave me goosebumps. AMAZING!!! Apocalypse talking to Karakora and the birds flying around him was epic!!
That last page straight up reminded me of Stone Cold Steve Austin shaking hands with Vince McMahon not gonna lie
Idk how Hickman's doing it, but OMG, it's AMAZING!
The ending gave me chills man, chills.
so technically they are clones? and does this mean that wolverine doesnt have his metal skeletonas it wasnt his mutant ability or part of his dna?
He fell into a bucket of adamantium after the cloning and he is got it back...there are your answers :P
Well, Proteus can manipulate reality so there's that.
Cool?"
Wasn't his arm blown off in the jet attack and he put it back on?
I'm 100% with you, I feel like Apocalypse should have ANNIHILATED Nymrod.. but like you, I have no evidence to back that up 😂😂😂
Considering Rogue took an arm from Nimrod when he ambushed her in his first appearance yeah, Apocalypse should've cleaned house with the Nimrods.
I don't get why he couldn't just grow huge and stomp...doesn't make sense...
@@nobodyknowsforsure comic book logic xD
BadMrBox Look, if Julian Keller and a team of teen mutants could handle Nimrod then Apocalypse should be able.
Plenty evidence look at secret wars apocalypse took on a whole Thor core he can take on a whole team of x men at one time y'all know this evidence help me out
The whole resurrection thing is like what's happening in the future timeline with those guys downloading their minds into the machines. It's so interesting how Hickman is parralling Mutants and Machines. This is the first time i actually want to see the X-men fighting sentinels
Wow they made "Gold Balls" the savior of the X-Men
Everybody loves Gold Balls
Sooo... Goldballs's superpower was to throw people eggs?!
That last panel legit gave me chills, loving this story so far
I really love this issue! One of the best of the Powers/House of X issues.
indeed
This was the first one that kind of snapped the previous installments into place.
God damn. I got cold chills at "welcome home." Shit is about to get real, dog.
yeah lets begin *picks up a bucket of popcorn*
Kosmischer Kauz picks up a blunt
@@dee_1016 i do it and now?
@ComicsExplained Yo! Ive gotta say as an avid collector in the 90s, an ex-comic store employee, and a comic artist, ur coverage of this amazing Hickman series is the only reason Ive jumped back into collecting Xmen comics in almost 20 years. After the video of issue 3, I dropped $100 to get all 8 of the current sold out issues and it was worth every penny. This is the best X story since Claremont and Asteroid M and I can feel the history in the making! Exciting times, bro. Im dying to see where he takes this story in these series', Dawn of X and, hopefully, the MCU. Cheers!
Golden Balls uses his eggs to resurrect people. He's essentially a kind of Savior. Golden Balls is the _real_ Professor Eggs-Savior.
That part with Apocalypse joining the Mutants on Krakoa. That just gave me the warm feels inside.
it feels like a bunch of kids finally being acknowledged by their big brother.
This is so well done finally a storyline that wraps up all the loose ends and continues so many storylines without actually messing up the storyline . Allowing readers from multiple story arcs a chance to start fresh.
House of M: 100 left.
Me: Good. For a while there, I thought mutants were growing on trees.
Hickman: Hold my beer.
The Bronze Age of DC Comics The mutant race was jumpstarted after A vs X. This is about them stop being killed after each one being born.
@@kennethhwang3425 Yes, I know that. I made a joke about a scene in the book. Can you not overthink for a moment?
Man that last pannel, Apocalypse bowing down and becoming one with all of them! Damn Goosebumps!
Where is the High Evolutionary in this he has some of the best Science in Geneticis hands down
He could so screw over the mutants by turning off their powers. At this point I kinda want that to happen.
@@badmrbox He knows his place.
He wouldn't trifle with Krakoa. He'd only screw himself over by getting annihilated.
Him and Apocalypse battled before I think to a stalemate. Apocalypse backed by this new power house team might not be a good idea.
He’s possibly the most Dangerous being ever. I’m surprised people in the marvel universe let him be.
Is he a mutant??
That’s so awesome. Apocalypse showing up and basically saying “Checkmate” after his vision is finally realized while also joining the X-Men and making peace. Followed by Xavier’s “Welcome Home” line. WOW.
Apparently this alliance with Xavier, Magneto, and Apocalypse actually threatens the marvel universe in a future event in December.
The last bit warmed my heart. He can finally feel welcome somewhere, and has people around him that don't see him as an enemy or nuisance.
Hickman adding spice to the x-men again I love it 🔥
This whole series has made me love comics all over again. Hadn't read in 15 years. Thank you Hickman!! Thank you!!
Goldenballs when powered up becomes Blackballs
nah son. Goldballs is the reason why we have our true Golden God in Dennis Reynolds, who possess this amazing ability: th-cam.com/video/zTZc3milai0/w-d-xo.html
Blue balls
And if he's sad, he becomes blueballs
Bro, that welcome home at the end...Goosebumps.
Infinite clones! The mutants are becoming scary. 😖
Right I can see professor x becoming a villain at the end of this
The mutants are becoming an unstoppable force. I don’t even think the Inhumans have a method like this, except for the terrigen mist method.
Terrigen mists dwarve in comparison
KajiXD you’re right it does.
You may have missed the line, but Magnus indeed said to Charles right after the cloning “They (humanity) should have killed us when they had the chance.” so yeah...
This comic run just keeps blowing my mind over and over. This is Hickman at his best and I love it!
I sense a double cross SOMEWHERE down the line.
If they let humanity weaken them, then Apocalypse will be Apocalypse.
in powers of x, apocalypse was helping the xmen in the future
Asad Parvez it’s Sinister I’m scared of.
Sinister will 1 be the doublecrosser
@@WrathofFenrir99 not him...sinister is the one to watch out for...he has no conscience
*The most beautiful issue I’ve ever read. I wish the future x-men comics would be drawn & written like this.*
Holy fuck. That is bonkers level insanity and it makes perfect sense.
Freaking AWESOME and EPYC!!!!!!! I just got chills and almost shedded a manly year. Welcome Home Apocalypse!
Yeah Nimrod should definitely not be able to defeat Apocalypse.
Well that might be the next surprise in the books to come ;)
@@badmrbox i dont think so, tks
@@mangoman1073
I sincerely hope it is a good thing because it was so good she was a mutant and the lives we were shown and as after many tries and saw and wanted the charles next door. Maybe she is modifying her mutant genes and no longer reincarnates and is something akin to the apocalypse and or healing power of logan, only time will tell us
@@badmrbox If you read the info provided in the "The Lives of Moira X" timelines, you can clearly see that her death was retconned in her 10th(current) life, in which instead of dying she supposedly "faked" her death.
Bro! A tear just came out my eye watching this! The feels are real!
They recreated the xmen who died, but how they did with wolverine's adamantium bones?
Proteus Reality manipulation (Omega level Mutant)
@@malimbaproudsonofkrakoa6636 nice, thanks... this issues are blowing my mind
Dude, I've been reading Xmen comics since the xfactor split. This Hickman run of comics is the best I have ever read. My wife says I look so happy when reading them.
Hickman will need to explain Wolverines adamantium now
Proteus reality manipulation. Marvel's favorite "we do want we want" power set.
Yeah so, they grow new body's and put their brains back in the bodys
Proteus and Hope are the reason why
Did people forget apocalypse gave Logan his adamatium back also when he made him a horse man too so if the reality warping isn't what happened it could be that, cause that event would still have to happen
@Mr420Spy I can totally see Hope boosting his powers so that doesnt happen so he and elixir can give everyone all of their powers back
I do not understand how Xavier would ever attempt to resurrect Jean Grey.
For those who say they were only clones, guys, you need to read the issue again.
They're clones with a copy of their memories as recorded by cerebro implanted in them.
What I wonder is how much of their memory is actually there. Do they remember all of the last mission? Do they remember dying? Why push so hard to get home if they could just be reborn?
mfkers are like StarKiller in Force Unleashed 2 now.
@@theinternetjerk9597 Did you read the issue. This was all explained.
What happened to them is no different than what already happened to Jean via the Phoenix eggs.
@@theinternetjerk9597 Professor X has updated and saved the "latest versions" of their memory. He do this every week as it was indicated in the issue. They may not recall how they died but they knew it happened because they are aware of the mission they are assigned to. Srsly, you really need to READ CAREFULLY.
i may have to get that end page framed and put on my wall for that epic moment.
Why, in the name of the One Above All, does Marvel insist on using Jean Grey's Marvel Girl costume since the relaunch?!!!! Her Xmen Red outfit was just fine 😣
I don't understand why some people have an issur with the Marvel Girl costume coming back. Xmen red jean grey was too bulky/masculine/bull dykke/ shoulder padded/ugly. Marvel girl costume is feminine, pretty, and iconic jean grey.
@@amandam120 nah man that marvel girl costume looks real stupid
If you read hox #5 it should give a clue. She was marvel girl as a young woman, and possibly this is the age/peak that resurrected her at
She has soo many good ones, but I'd say red was the worst by far, it looked like Liefeld designed it.
@@Necrophonica she didnt have pouches for her xred suit so liefeld couldnt have deaigned it. The dude loves putting pouches on pretty much everyone he draws

That was prettt kool. But are the new x men really strong enough if they died and were brought back
I had chills seeing that page with him saying he was proud! 🙏🏾⭐️
Could you do a video explaining the powers of elixir. Isn't he an omega level mutant?
Terrible Gamer Elixir is an Omega-level mutant, capable of controlling the biological structure of any organic matter including his own body.
He must be in proximity to whomever he uses his power on.Besides healing, Elixir can:
-boost and restore mutant abilities
-Keenly detect any abnormalities in a person’s body such as T.O.V cells in Archangel’s posterior, cancer in The Gamemaster Tre Bek and even sensed the effect of magical inversion on Sabretooth
-Manipulate the life-forces of others
-Cleansing the body of drugs (which is a great benefit for some of Elixir’s “more cool” teammates on the X-men when Xavier would come around with “the cups”)
-create deadly tumors within a person (remembering one issue where he got a bit spooky and manifested a X-shaped tumor in a villain’s brain!)
The Stepford Cuckoos telepathically transfer the Beast's knowledge of anatomy, biology, and genetics into Elixir’s mind so now he has the ability to cure anything.
Wow the end gave me chills
So how are they gonna put their original souls back? I mean clones have new souls. That being confirm with several clones in Marvel history. So a future story arc maybe where they go abd get their souls back?
Nope
To give a more detailed answer. It is explained that Charles copies the mind of every mutant in Krakoa every week.
LMAO Hickman doesn't care about the continuity of a non X-Men story right now. What happened with those stories have nothing to do with what happens here.
They have their souls and their minds. Only Nightcrawler is different.
Damn I'm so happy the xmen are back and with Jonathan Hickman. This story is so bad ass on so many levels. Thanks Robert

Aaaaaaahhh!! That's sick! Apocalypse is now apart of the X-Men Family.
Hickman says they are unviable.
Proteus is a god basically and we can assume he gives Wolverine's vlone bodies admantium
MAN, I LOVE THAT IMG AT THE END...WELCOME HOME!!! Great Comic, Great Vid
one thing that gets on my nerves is how Scott is reborn in a new body and still cant control his powers. it doesn't make sense to me.
It was always a mental block with Scott, so his clone would also have the mental issue since he has original’s mind.
@@ThoughtsOfTheHumanMind i thought it wasn't a mental block but caused by the accident when he fell out of the plane?
@Dodge Morningstar I didn't even realize the wolverine bones your right lol. in all fairness he isn't as cool without the metal bones lol
