I saw them and met them in Ottawa Canada in 74. I loved them, my daughter's boy band was New Kids, so glad got to share her experience and she got to meet them too. Two different boy bands, 2 different eras.
Those were the days watching the osmonds on tv as a child here in Liverpool England , and Merrill had a brilliant voice he was my favourite but jay came a close second , what a talented family loved them and still love watching all these videos off them , pure class don’t make groups like these anymore ❤️❤️

Can anyone even think of any young act or group act that kept their faith and fans over any years. Mothers thought that millie Cyrus was good for their daughter and look now. The Odmonds kept their families and their faith no matter what. One of the reasons we love them now. But of course their talent, on loan from God, is still the best. So sad that we will never see all of them together again. That's what makes me feel so old.

My wife says thank you for sharing and want's to know if you are one of their kids. She was such a big fan, she said her bedroom was wallpapered with them. She met them in `1974 in Ottawa Ontario Canada. To this day she is still a fan and was so excited to see Donny on the masked singer although she knew who he was after the first clues and he started singing. Would love to see Merrill, Jay, Jimmy and Marie on that show. If you are family she says love to you all and thank you for the memories.

What a sensation the Osmonds provoked that August in the UK, TV Newspapers and at the Airport where we left the same day. Wow.

I recorded this off the tv, via a microphone connected to a tape recorder , if I remember correctly. No video then, just audio. My young self would have taken heart, if i had known, that not only would I still love them 50 yrs on, but we would have the means and technology to see their 1974 performance again ( when we probably thought we never would. Thank goodness for technology

I had met him also. In the Denver's airport. I was there for training. We ended shooting the breeze for about 45 minutes or so. We shook hands and parted ways. Nice guy.
Seeing the Osmonds musical in Manchester next month. Been brushing up on my knowledge on them and it’s awesome to see these. Just to clear something up, this was august 12. Wasn’t sure looking at the dates whether it was that or December 8.
Boy oh Boy ! There sure was a definite groove competition between Osmonds and Jacksons.....I cannot decide who I like the best. Both families were unbelievably talented.

I've seen this 50's medley, live, many times-I was one of those girls in the front row, screaming my head off! Now I'm 66 and I live in Utah just 24 miles from Donny! I used to have the energy to keep up with this, but for now I'm going to take a nap ...

I was today years old when Jay said in a live Facebook video that he choreographed the Havin' A Party Medley. I KNEW IT! He had them getting IT! 💙💜🖤💚🧡
