buddy I got the ghost 1661 in December and just I got the hulk 1661 (yesterday). Big difference! the bezel action is now much better, bracelet finishing is on point and the "explorer" has gone! this watch is just delightful...the only downside I see is that the crown is now a lot more pronounced, but hey it has a matt logo added on that now too!

Im new to Pagani but in my long watch collecting history ive had all the best Reps bought mainly in Kuala lumpur,all sold on now,Also own a gen Datejust 2,Speedie and Seamaster (The Brosnan bond one).I can honestly say that after having bought the quartz speedmaster,the Daytona the Nautilus and the GMT Pepsi.I have never come across such value for money or great looking watches as Pagani have.(Ok youve got to be into Homages) You really cannot complain about what you get for the money l love em.
Generally for the money (100€ I bοught it) is excellent choice! Everything is perfect, sapphire glass, ceramic bezel, stainless steel 316L. The problems: Minor with the bezel, that is consistent with good alignment, but has a little play when puss it down and little back playing. Secondly with the crown, when screwing, make a little sound and fills like there is sand inside... Maybe minor issues...
FYI there are 3 micro adjustments inside the clasp where the extension is. You push the spring pin and adjust the extension up or down. I've found this gives me the perfect fit. Notice there are small circular divots above the extension on the inside of the clasp!

Thank you for watching. I appreciate the suggestion. However 4K video files are four times larger than 1080. So that means to edit in a 10 second distance shot of the watch it would mean 2-3 hour processing in editing. I prefer to record my videos in one take in 15 minutes. Then import the file from my SD card to my laptop, and upload straight to TH-cam; fully processed in 4K within 2 hours. I just don't have time to spend another 2-3 hours extra in editing just to add a 10 second clip you see. Regards.

Did the Easylink get fastened without brutal force? - not with mine. :-( Glide lock would be cool. But I am glad about every Bracelet with an Easylink; I use it several times a day.

After a good amount of time of deliberation, I decided on this one instead of the 'Kermit' style. And I really like it. I wear it everyday. Just wish the micro adjust is better, though. I have to wear it with the extension deployed. I'll adjust that when I get spring bar remover ans extra spring bars in case anything breaks while fiddling with it.

They are currently considering it after seeing my video. I suggested all PD-1661, and PD-1662 models are upgraded with Glidelocks; and emailed them my Carlywet Glidelock fitted to my PD-1661 as an example. Even if it means adding another 5-10 Euro to the retail price; collectors would be happy to pay it for a Glidelock. Or as you suggest; if they offered the Glidelock bracelet upgrade for sale. One can currently buy the Jubilee, and Oyster bracelets separately on AliExpress; as often collectors want to change the polished centre link Oyster bracelet to the brushed version. The Bliger Glidelock I fitted to my modified PD-1661 Cermit was better than the Carlywet one; but still not as well finished as the Pagani Design clasp. So I am hoping Pagani Design can make a better quality Glidelock. Glad you enjoyed my reviews, and they helped you make a decision on your purchase. That really is the intended purpose of my reviews. @@demoneyeslaharl Check out my reverse Cermit review below. Their current business model is high volume batch production with low profit margin within the under 100 USD low-tier. The PD-1661, PD-1662 are hot sellers at circa 70 USD on AliExpress. However if they upgrade to BGW9 Superluminova, and Glidelock clasp; that realistically means 100+ USD retail selling price; which makes them less competitive against rival brands in the low-tier. Their profit margin per piece increases; but it sales volume would exponentially decrease as less collectors would be willing to pay 100+ USD for a PD-1661 than the current 70 USD. On a batch of 100K pieces, it is better profit margin gained at 70 USD retail, than making 50K pieces at 100+ USD retail. Pagani Design know the sweet spot in the low-tier for them is circa 70 USD. Would you or I pay 100+ USD for BGW9, and a Glidelock? Of course. But the majority of collectors just won't pay the extra for these improvements. Personally I would prefer to see the Glidelock upgraded before the lume though; as I think that is more important. The lack of micro adjustment on the current PD-1661, and PD-1662 is a main negative. On a positive note they are making gradual improvements to bezel action; which was their other main negative. The PD-1661, and PD-1662's I have recently reviewed are definitely better overall than the earlier versions from a year ago. The PD-1661 Hulks and Cermits they are currently making seem to be the best quality they have made to date. Regards.

Thank you for watching Kwstas. Avoid changing the date between 8.00pm and 4.00am, as this can damage the movement. To manually wind it; unscrew the crown fully, but don't pull it out, just let the spring push it out itself. This is the manual winding position. If you pull it out to the first click, this is the date setting position. The second click is the time setting position. From the movement being stopped dead, you will need to manually wind it 40 turns clockwise. Don't worry you can't over wind it as their is a ratcheting mechanism which releases excess tension in the main spring to prevent damage from over winding. You can also wind the watch automatically by wearing it 8-12 hours per day. After you have given it 40 winds, you can then set the date, then set the time. This will avoid any damage to the movement. Just recently received mine, unfortunately when I ordered mine it was only available with the green rubber strap, when it arrived, both sides of the strap were not properly fitted and they fell off as soon as I lifted the watch from the box. I found the cause of the problem is two fold, firstly mould flashing around the spring bar holes made it impossible for the strap to fit, however once I had removed the flashing I then discovered the spring bar holes to be slightly out of align, meaning the fit was so tight it could break the spring bar, therefore I have swapped the strap for a black rubber and all is now well as far as the strap goes. I have also found the watch to be running about 30 seconds slow and when I checked it with the Time grapher app on my phone it is telling me the watch is running 34 seconds slow with a beat error of 1.7, really not good enough. The rest of the watch is fine, bezel and crown action are ok, not quite as good as my San Martin 6200 water Ghost but ok, cyclops is aligned ok and case finishing is very good. I am going to try to regulate the movement, wish me luck.. I do like like your no nonsense reviews, please keep them coming. Thank you.

Agreed, -34 seconds/day is bad. -20 to +40 is acceptable for an NH35A, although typically they run +/-10 (or better). @@claudiugeorge5445 Yes, its worth buying with the 8215. It has similar accuracy to the NH35A: -20 to +40 seconds per day. They typically run within +/- 10 seconds per day which is OK. The lack of hacking might not be a problem for you if you don't mind not being able to stop the second hand when setting the time. So really it is just the noisy rotor to consider. Many collectors find the sound of the rotor spinning to be annoying, as it is louder than a NH35A. Personally it isn't loud enough to bother me, although I do prefer the NH35A as its quieter. Having tried one Pagani to see how they stand up against the rest of the collection, I found it to be somewhat unfinished in terms of too sharp case edges and clasp. Do you find this too?
Hi Just got my PD-1661, after unboxing i saw that the movement isn’t working. I taught that it was not enough winded while it was delivered. But after many shakes and even more manual winding, the watch didn’t started. I was able to change the time, but just don’t start. The seconds hand is not moving. When i hand wind it sounds like it’s winding, but it does just not work. Can you please give me a solution? I am pretty desperate… thank you very very much.
Thank you for watching. Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you have a faulty movement. It should take 40 clockwise manual winds to fully wind the NH35A movement to its maximum 40 hours. Alternatively it should automatically wind fully being worn 8 hours per day. Try screwing the crown down fully, then when you unscrew it be careful to wind it without pulling it out to the first click position, which is the date setting position. Also make sure you are winding it clockwise, not anticlockwise for 40 turns. If this doesn't start your movement it is faulty and you will have to return it to the seller for refund. Regards, #WR4K

The YN55A is reliable and well proven. Orient use it in several watches including the Kamasu. Orient call it the F6922. The YN55A quality, accuracy, and reliability is equal to the NH35A. The 8205 doesn't have hacking which is a negative, and also the rotor is more noisy than the NH35A. However it is also reliable, and well proven. Regards, #WR4K

Pagani green is much too bright and shiny for me, makes the whole watch look cheap and nasty. I swapped out the dial for a darker green, closer to the Rolex Hulk, now it looks OK-ish.
Friend, the new Pagani 1682 explorer2 are made more precisely, including the case, the base of the bracelet. The crown was made smaller, but not screwed down.

Looks like Pagani is no longer selling this model with the NH35. Last week I began seeing them in AliExpress with the Miyota 8215 movement. I’m still undecided if I get the Steinheart Ocean One 39mm or save money and go with the Pagani.

This is not coming from a reseller, it is from the Pagani Design official store (at AliExpress). Last week they quietly started removing any reference to the NH35A and replaced it with the Miyota 8215, there are even recent reviews of people who purchased under the impression they would get NH35A and instead received a PD1661 with the Miyota 8215.
Be that as it may, very, very few people have 20k-30k USD to spend freely on a Rolex, so these so-called "cheap copies" are perfect entry pieces that open the gates for the majority of us to enjoy watches of relatively good value for a more reasonable amount of money, and absolutely no one has the right to look down on people who buy them. Also, keep in mind that the Swiss, who are now considered the kings of watchmaking, also had their origins making cheap copies of French and British watches, just like the Chinese are doing now. So don't be surprised if in a couple of decades (who knows if even less than that) some of these Chinese "copiers" become the next Tudor, Rolex, or even Patek Philippe.
A cheap copy would try to trick you into thinking it is a Rolex. It would say Rolex on the dial, and be dishonest about what it is. An homage watch differs because it IS honest that it isn't actually a Rolex. It's a Pagani Design. It isn't trying to be something it's not. It's up front and honest that it isn't the watch that it is an homage of.

@@demoneyeslaharl I think my reverse Cermit is likely to be produced in 2021 as they liked the idea. I have also suggested they make an Explorer the same as my modified PD-1661 in 40mm. They are currently considering it after seeing my video. I suggested all PD-1661, and PD-1662 models are upgraded with Glidelocks; and emailed them my Carlywet Glidelock fitted to my PD-1661 as an example. Even if it means adding another 5-10 Euro to the retail price; collectors would be happy to pay it for a Glidelock. Or as you suggest; if they offered the Glidelock bracelet upgrade for sale. One can currently buy the Jubilee, and Oyster bracelets separately on AliExpress; as often collectors want to change the polished centre link Oyster bracelet to the brushed version. The Bliger Glidelock I fitted to my modified PD-1661 Cermit was better than the Carlywet one; but still not as well finished as the Pagani Design clasp. So I am hoping Pagani Design can make a better quality Glidelock. Glad you enjoyed my reviews, and they helped you make a decision on your purchase. That really is the intended purpose of my reviews. @@demoneyeslaharl Check out my reverse Cermit review below. Their current business model is high volume batch production with low profit margin within the under 100 USD low-tier. The PD-1661, PD-1662 are hot sellers at circa 70 USD on AliExpress. However if they upgrade to BGW9 Superluminova, and Glidelock clasp; that realistically means 100+ USD retail selling price; which makes them less competitive against rival brands in the low-tier. Their profit margin per piece increases; but it sales volume would exponentially decrease as less collectors would be willing to pay 100+ USD for a PD-1661 than the current 70 USD. On a batch of 100K pieces, it is better profit margin gained at 70 USD retail, than making 50K pieces at 100+ USD retail. Pagani Design know the sweet spot in the low-tier for them is circa 70 USD. Would you or I pay 100+ USD for BGW9, and a Glidelock? Of course. But the majority of collectors just won't pay the extra for these improvements. Personally I would prefer to see the Glidelock upgraded before the lume though; as I think that is more important. The lack of micro adjustment on the current PD-1661, and PD-1662 is a main negative. On a positive note they are making gradual improvements to bezel action; which was their other main negative. The PD-1661, and PD-1662's I have recently reviewed are definitely better overall than the earlier versions from a year ago. The PD-1661 Hulks and Cermits they are currently making seem to be the best quality they have made to date. Regards.

Thank you for watching Kwstas. Avoid changing the date between 8.00pm and 4.00am, as this can damage the movement. To manually wind it; unscrew the crown fully, but don't pull it out, just let the spring push it out itself. This is the manual winding position. If you pull it out to the first click, this is the date setting position. The second click is the time setting position. From the movement being stopped dead, you will need to manually wind it 40 turns clockwise. Don't worry you can't over wind it as their is a ratcheting mechanism which releases excess tension in the main spring to prevent damage from over winding. You can also wind the watch automatically by wearing it 8-12 hours per day. After you have given it 40 winds, you can then set the date, then set the time. This will avoid any damage to the movement. Just recently received mine, unfortunately when I ordered mine it was only available with the green rubber strap, when it arrived, both sides of the strap were not properly fitted and they fell off as soon as I lifted the watch from the box. I found the cause of the problem is two fold, firstly mould flashing around the spring bar holes made it impossible for the strap to fit, however once I had removed the flashing I then discovered the spring bar holes to be slightly out of align, meaning the fit was so tight it could break the spring bar, therefore I have swapped the strap for a black rubber and all is now well as far as the strap goes. I have also found the watch to be running about 30 seconds slow and when I checked it with the Time grapher app on my phone it is telling me the watch is running 34 seconds slow with a beat error of 1.7, really not good enough. The rest of the watch is fine, bezel and crown action are ok, not quite as good as my San Martin 6200 water Ghost but ok, cyclops is aligned ok and case finishing is very good. I am going to try to regulate the movement, wish me luck.. I do like like your no nonsense reviews, please keep them coming. Thank you.

Agreed, -34 seconds/day is bad. -20 to +40 is acceptable for an NH35A, although typically they run +/-10 (or better). The 8215 does not have hacking, and also the rotor is noisy. It is reliable, and has similar accuracy. Overall the NH35A is a better quality movement. Regards, #WR4K

@@claudiugeorge5445 Yes, its worth buying with the 8215. It has similar accuracy to the NH35A: -20 to +40 seconds per day. They typically run within +/- 10 seconds per day which is OK. The lack of hacking might not be a problem for you if you don't mind not being able to stop the second hand when setting the time. So really it is just the noisy rotor to consider. Many collectors find the sound of the rotor spinning to be annoying, as it is louder than a NH35A. Personally it isn't loud enough to bother me, although I do prefer the NH35A as its quieter. The important thing is the 8215 is a reliable movement. Regards, #WR4K

Just got my PD-1661, after unboxing i saw that the movement isn’t working. I taught that it was not enough winded while it was delivered. But after many shakes and even more manual winding, the watch didn’t started. I was able to change the time, but just don’t start. The seconds hand is not moving. When i hand wind it sounds like it’s winding, but it does just not work. Can you please give me a solution? I am pretty desperate… thank you very very much.
Thank you for watching. Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you have a faulty movement. It should take 40 clockwise manual winds to fully wind the NH35A movement to its maximum 40 hours. Alternatively it should automatically wind fully being worn 8 hours per day. Try screwing the crown down fully, then when you unscrew it be careful to wind it without pulling it out to the first click position, which is the date setting position. Also make sure you are winding it clockwise, not anticlockwise for 40 turns. If this doesn't start your movement it is faulty and you will have to return it to the seller for refund. Regards, #WR4K

Thank you for watching Tony. Pagani Design are using the Miyota 8205 in the PD-1661. San Martin are using the Epson YN55A; due to the shortage of NH35A movements in China. The YN55A is reliable and well proven. Orient use it in several watches including the Kamasu. Orient call it the F6922. The YN55A quality, accuracy, and reliability is equal to the NH35A. The 8205 doesn't have hacking which is a negative, and also the rotor is more noisy than the NH35A. However it is also reliable, and well proven. Regards, #WR4K

Pagani green is much too bright and shiny for me, makes the whole watch look cheap and nasty. I swapped out the dial for a darker green, closer to the Rolex Hulk, now it looks OK-ish.
Friend, the new Pagani 1682 explorer2 are made more precisely, including the case, the base of the bracelet. The crown was made smaller, but not screwed down.

Looks like Pagani is no longer selling this model with the NH35. Last week I began seeing them in AliExpress with the Miyota 8215 movement.
I’m still undecided if I get the Steinheart Ocean One 39mm or save money and go with the Pagani.

Be that as it may, very, very few people have 20k-30k USD to spend freely on a Rolex, so these so-called "cheap copies" are perfect entry pieces that open the gates for the majority of us to enjoy watches of relatively good value for a more reasonable amount of money, and absolutely no one has the right to look down on people who buy them. Also, keep in mind that the Swiss, who are now considered the kings of watchmaking, also had their origins making cheap copies of French and British watches, just like the Chinese are doing now. So don't be surprised if in a couple of decades (who knows if even less than that) some of these Chinese "copiers" become the next Tudor, Rolex, or even Patek Philippe.
A cheap copy would try to trick you into thinking it is a Rolex. It would say Rolex on the dial, and be dishonest about what it is. An homage watch differs because it IS honest that it isn't actually a Rolex. It's a Pagani Design. It isn't trying to be something it's not. It's up front and honest that it isn't the watch that it is an homage of.
