  • The Cowsills have a rich history woven into the tapestry of music, captivating audiences in the 1960s and early 1970s with their unique blend of pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Their infectious tunes, like "The Rain, the Park & Other Things" and "Hair," became anthems of a generation, capturing the spirit of the era with their catchy hooks and uplifting melodies.
Bob joins me to talk about their journey from humble beginnings to the heights of stardom which inspired the creation of the iconic TV show "The Partridge Family," internal conflicts and the ever-changing landscape of the music industry, the strong family bond that kept them together and helped them deal with anything that was thrown at them, stories about Carl Reiner, Carol Burnett, and Bruce Springsteen, His thoughts on music ranging from Taylor Swift to Alice In Chains, to Dave Grohl, and more.
    Enjoy!

Was a huge fan of the Cowsills in my young days and rediscovered them during Covid. Great harmonies, beautiful songs, fabulous stories, good folk, tough life, laughter. Their later music was great too. I have collected much of their music and listen a lot. Great to see them get the recognition they deserve.

What a fabulous interview! I listen to the Cowsill podcast every week and have been a fan of the band since the late 60s. Thank you for asking such insightful questions. Bob elaborated on so many things I wondered about that were not included in the documentary. (I'm sure that length was an issue.). I'm impressed by Bob's honesty about his troubled family history. I've been rooting for the Cowsills my entire life.

Thank you Mr. Poveromo for this Dystopia interview with Bob Cowsill. Always have been interested in how people got to where they are in life. This covered quite a bit, and it is sad how these Cowsill Family members had to endure, but I’ve always felt that these things in life will either end you or make you stronger. Happy for Bob that he realizes that and it does help him to appreciate where he is today. He is right could be next two generations will be our demonize or our blessings. We are so divided but it started years ago, but worse since 2015, and yet 1/2 of our Country wants this divide. When will we join together and see who is causing this? I feel it’s the people dividing us want more Government. Less Government if possible is my stand. God Bless
Looking forward to Happy Together Tour 2025 ❤

As usual, Bob gives a great interview. He is a great storyteller and seems like such a nice and down to earth person. I saw them in concert last September in Las Vegas, and they blew me away. Thank you for this awesome interview!

I met Bob at a grocery store store in Los Angeles in late 2013. He told me the filthiest joke I’d ever heard. If you ever run into him, ask him to tell you the joke about the clam and the vacuum!

I'd like to know what bud squandered their 20 million on.. and the kids literally had to pay the tax on that money to the IRS
