I also mail to iucaa but there is no response from them.
Bhai please tell me how can a Btech- CSE( last year) student start preparing for INAT exam step by step from scratch? Please recommend some books and paid courses for the same. I would be really glad. 🙏

Hi Aleek. Well I appeared for interview in astrophysics only, and you can see in different interview experience videos that I was not asked much from my area of interest, just the basics of physics. But that's a really good idea and I'll try to prepare it in some time. Thanks.
Hi Chandra, it's nearly impossible to guess. Iss saal unhone kaafi saare students ko nahi invite kiya hai exam ke liye. But ye maan lo ki around 35-45 students at max shortlist honge for interview. So do as much as you can. You'll have to take some risk, looking at the current competition

Hi, they generally dont publish any list on website. They directly email the selected candidates. 1 week is too soon. You may need to wait for another 2 3 weeks. All the very best :)
Can I get the syllabus for INAT? It's much confusing as most of the sites are only showing there will be 3 parts as electronics, physics and mathematics.

Hi Amit, I don't know about IIAST paper question so I can not compare the question level. But I can say that paper level will be at most the level of GATE based on previous year stats.

There is generally no upper bound but depends on many factors. On an average, 5 years one can assume. But it can be completed in 4 years too, or early.

Hi Shubham. Well, the opportunities will be same as what a PhD holder gets, but IUCAA is having cutting edge research in Astronomy and Astrophysics (theoretical, observational as well as instrumentation too) , and is one of the best labs to pursue PhD. It has a lot of international collabs, and I'm sure that doing PhD here can get you really great environment, labs and collaborations to produce highest quality research. You will have very high chances of foreign post docs and lectureship positions in government institutions. I hope I was able to answer the question. Till then, only one advice, read physics basics. I too am a BTech engineer and let me tell you based on my experience that it will take some time and efforts to get familiar with many physics basic topics. For start, you can google syllabus of IITJAM physics exam and read that. All the best :)
Hi Meena. Yes they generally provide fellowship. Earlier they used to ask selected students to qualify csir ugc jrf during first two years of joining IUCAA (please confirm this statement somewhere, I'm not entirely sure), but now a days they have ample funding. But again, it's best to ask them about stipend during the interview. Covid has changed a lot of things.

There is no specific syllabus given anywhere for this exam. The full syllabus is syllabus of GATE vaguely.

The questions papers aren't available anywhere. They always take back the paper with the answer sheet.

Focus on core subjects more related to astro, such as classical , emt, quantum stat mech and maths.

Previous year question papers mil skta hai kya sir ?

What are the exam centres for INAT in other regular years??
In pre covid times, we had to go to IUCAA to attend the exam. There were no external exam centres for outstation candidates.
