excellent starter video TFO. maybe as a next gradient on this thread is taking a time/price value such as the midnight open and looking at a session, let's say the NYAM session and examining how often price returns to the midnight open and perhaps half the range of the NYAM open to the midnight open. maybe as an intermediate leg to this you can shove the times the hit occurs into an array and putting out the mode or average time for the hit. just an idea... this may be a good direction for counting events and getting the wheels turning on how to use TV pinescript to build statistics tables to see where an edge may be found. great work as always!

I wanted to ask where did you start off with coding and what languages do you recommend to become a master like yourself in order to create similar algorithms , Im mostly interested in ninja trader for futures but open to learning pine script first if it would help me later on , with C# would really appreciate your feed back on this as well as any good resources . Thank you .
In my opinion pine script is fairly beginner friendly and will probably be helpful to develop a foundation of coding knowledge, whereas NinjaTrader is a bit more advanced just because it's a more strict language with its own nuances. The NinjaTrader team has plenty of coding tutorials on TH-cam, and I have a few in my Coding playlist
Thank you for your effort but can you make it more simmpler as we don`t know what variables are and other stuff, also how can i make it draw a rectangle around specific time periods in each hour thnaks in advance
I explain the purpose of the "var" keyword at 1:10, with a visual example at 3:11. If you have any specific questions about that or anything else, feel free to let me know. I try to make these videos as simple as possible. Drawing rectangles around specific time periods has nothing to do with this video. I have plenty of open source indicators on TradingView where you can learn how to do that. www.tradingview.com/u/tradeforopp/
