Dude, that is ridiculous. Petty, indeed. They know these things are printed on cardboard and not glass, right? Shout out to the commenters for backing the seller.
I block buyers like this. You can usually tell who the problem buyers will be once you see their feedback numbers. Once this kid accepts the ~$17 partial refund, I guarantee you they will be blocked by the seller.
On a technical level, this person would be able to force a return on eBay by claiming it doesn’t match description even though any reasonable person would agree this card is near mint. But eBay is pretty lenient with buyers choosing this return reason. That said, buyers only have 3 days from delivery to be able to force a return on trading cards on eBay. So at least there is that saving grace for buyers.
The buyer should’ve got a full refund, got to keep the card, obtained permission to slap the seller and tack a name tag to their chest shouid the two ever meet.
This is my favorite card. Was able to snag one a while back for $80. Then, out of the LAST 3 Costco tin boxes, I PULLED ONE! It honestly looks like a black label 10.. gonna try to run it up! Oh yeah, this dude is MAD petty.
How did they find a seller willing to do a partial refund? The seller knows they are dealing with an insane person and really just doesn't want the headache or negative feedback. They'll get both, anyway, though. Welcome to dealing with people in the collectible space.

He wants to return a Mew for a tiny dot probably naked to the human eye that should get a 10. Hell I got a card graded one time that I played in every Yugioh deck of mine since 2017 and PSA gave it a 10. There is no way that Mew does t get a 10. Also happy thanksgiving Opossum.

I wish this guy's problem was the worst of it. I'm tired of doing returns on obviously misgraded cards.

I'd hate selling to someone like this. Petty AF
Some buyers, smh...they always think sellers will bend over for them but they forget we don't HAVE to sell them anything if we don't want to. :|
I mean you're selling primarily because it's of benefit to YOU, no?
Some sellers, smh. Don't forget as buyers we don't have to buy anything and if we don't buy anything you sellers will go out of business. I'm surprised your actually still in business.
Guys, I was only talking about problematic customers, not regular ones. My point was some people complain so much they're not even worth selling to.
