With things like that they can only be returned through a “hazmat” shipper. It’s weird. At UPS we can’t ship hazmat items but we can deliver them. Same with FedEx and DHL. Same thing with cologne. If you blind buy it and aren’t happy with it they’ll just refund it.

OMG, this couldn't be more true! Amazon is constantly delivering my packages to the wrong apartment building and I just hop onto the customer support chat and say, "Yep, you did it again." And they'll return my money. And then a few days or a week or so later, someone will dump my package in front of my door. Usually with a corner of the box torn to see if there's anything worth stealing inside. Apparently Gatorade powder and hair conditioner isn't something many people want to steal here. 😂

It’s the SAME APARTMENT in my complex cause it’s the SAME DOOR with no number on it in the same stairwell in every picture. Apartment management won’t do anything about it so I just use Amazon lockers now. I did leave them one fake Amazon box after the bed set incident. The tape came off without tearing so I glued it back down to seal the box after I filled it with trash. Like, hair off my brush, old dog food, etc - actual trash. 😊 They didn’t bother returning that box either. (They took the second bed set too - TWO comforter sets. Motherf’ers had me heated).

Did you do it online/through the app or actually speak with someone? There's a workaround and a way to word things so you don't have to return the item. Never say you want to exchange or return. Ask for a refund. If they request you to return it, mention how it doesn't make sense because it a small item that's broken, you just want your money back because you're not satisfied, and how inconvenient it is to you. They usually buckle because they don't have time to be haggled 😂 they wanna close those tickets, resolved, as quickly as possible.
@@saushakamara I just went to my orders in the app and selected the option to begin a return. I didn't speak or message with anyone. As soon as I select to return something, the next step gives me options regarding where to return it to, or if I'd prefer to print a label and ship it back to Amazon.

I bought an item, sent it to my dad and they sent him the wrong item. I called instead of doing it online because it was a small item, some kind of bath beads or something like that. Rep told me to keep it since it was an inconvenience to get it returned. They sent the correct item and I thought everything was good. A month later I got an email saying I had 5 days to get those beads back to them. 🤦🏽♀️ I was like what? I called back and the rep said that other rep shouldn’t have told me I didn’t have to return the item. Good thing my dad had not thrown it out. I can laugh about it now, but at the time, I was pissed.

Yeah, this is actually true for Prime members 😂 I've had an uninterrupted subscription for almost 10 years now, and even the slightest complaint earned me all of these outcomes and more. For example, I'm disabled, so i can't go out for returns due to the cost because my disability doesn't allow me to drive at all. It would cost me up to $40 roundtrip to drop off the return. This became a problem when Amazon terminated the returns pickup option that I depended on. I also express that i already pay for shipping through my subscription, which includes FREE returns, choose slightly slower delivery options for their convenience, and that it's unfair to offload those costs onto Prime members after selling the membership under different pretenses. Solution: they let me just throw it away or give it to someone else, then send the correction or fully refund me lol The support is worth the subscription 😂

I do want to share that as someone who sold on Amazon for years - that refund comes out of the seller’s pockets, NOT Amazon’s - unless it is an item “shipped and sold by Amazon.” They also do not refund their delivery service fee. For example, if you’re selling a $25 item, Amazon charges $10 to ship and handle returns and you make about $15. If that item gets delivered late (which is still Amazon’s fault) and the seller calls for a refund, Amazon refunds the whole $25 and you’re now out $35. 😩

I ordered a carving knife set as a Christmas gift a few years ago and it kept saying “delayed”. Finally the CS person told me it was likely lost and they gave me a refund. I ordered a different set to give. Then the original showed up a couple of days after the replacement arrived. I called back to let them know that the original set finally arrived (3 weeks late) and asked what they wanted me to do with it. The CS rep replied, “Merry Christmas. Since the misplacement caused you inconvenience, keep it. We won’t charge you.” I was floored. I gave the original as the gift since that was my intention and kept the replacement for myself.

I have used the 'try and buy' or whatever they're branding it now, where you're not charged for clothes until you indicate "keep" or "return" on and off for the last few years. I have kept a few items but realistically returned a tonn of stuff due to fit. The last go around I was trying out sunglasses with anti-glare coating and each pair was $125+, 5 pairs in the order. When I returned them all apparently one "fell off the truck" and never made it's way back to the return center after dropping it off at the ups store. I started panicking because it was the most expensive pair at over $200. I was shocked to get a similar over the phone experience with the Amazon returns lady as these vids. It's SO TRUE 😂

Yeah, this is actually true for Prime members 😂 I've had an uninterrupted subscription for almost 10 years now, and even the slightest complaint earned me all of these outcomes and more. For example, I'm disabled, so i can't go out for returns due to the cost because my disability doesn't allow me to drive at all. It would cost me up to $40 roundtrip to drop off the return. This became a problem when Amazon terminated the returns pickup option that I depended on. I also express that i already pay for shipping through my subscription, which includes FREE returns, choose slightly slower delivery options for their convenience, and that it's unfair to offload those costs onto Prime members after selling the membership under different pretenses. Solution: they let me just throw it away or give it to someone else, then send the correction or fully refund me lol The support is worth the subscription 😂

Depends on what you do. I worked at Amazon doing returns and it was pretty easy and low stress. I wasn’t on the phones, I just decided if an item could be sold again or not. The pay was super legit. I would go back in an instant!

I do want to share that as someone who sold on Amazon for years - that refund comes out of the seller’s pockets, NOT Amazon’s - unless it is an item “shipped and sold by Amazon.”
They also do not refund their delivery service fee. For example, if you’re selling a $25 item, Amazon charges $10 to ship and handle returns and you make about $15. If that item gets delivered late (which is still Amazon’s fault) and the seller calls for a refund, Amazon refunds the whole $25 and you’re now out $35. 😩

I ordered a carving knife set as a Christmas gift a few years ago and it kept saying “delayed”. Finally the CS person told me it was likely lost and they gave me a refund. I ordered a different set to give. Then the original showed up a couple of days after the replacement arrived. I called back to let them know that the original set finally arrived (3 weeks late) and asked what they wanted me to do with it. The CS rep replied, “Merry Christmas. Since the misplacement caused you inconvenience, keep it. We won’t charge you.”
I was floored. I gave the original as the gift since that was my intention and kept the replacement for myself.

I have used the 'try and buy' or whatever they're branding it now, where you're not charged for clothes until you indicate "keep" or "return" on and off for the last few years. I have kept a few items but realistically returned a tonn of stuff due to fit. The last go around I was trying out sunglasses with anti-glare coating and each pair was $125+, 5 pairs in the order. When I returned them all apparently one "fell off the truck" and never made it's way back to the return center after dropping it off at the ups store. I started panicking because it was the most expensive pair at over $200. I was shocked to get a similar over the phone experience with the Amazon returns lady as these vids. It's SO TRUE 😂

Huh??? I'm in the UK and they're very often like this - I have a good few things that they couldn't be bothered to collect but just refunded. And when I not a faulty cabinet they collected it, no problems.
Long-term Prime membership does help. In my experience I get an instant refund especially if the item is less than £10.
It may depend on where you live. 🤔 It’s simple in the cities here in the US, but I also have to go through the post office for many things in the countryside where I grew up.
