Watched this when it was brand new and has been one of my favorite movies ever since. There were so many hints along the way you see the second time, like Mr Glass always wearing purple, his haircut giving him a misshapen head the way that villains usually are etc. As everyone else has already said in the comments, watch Split when you get the chance, its every bit as good as Unbreakable. Absolutely stunning performance from James McAvoy and one of Anya Taylor-Joys first movies. Its just a shame you already know its a sequel to this, as it was originally a surprise.
Not that big of a surprise. People who didn't see "Unbreakable" first wouldn't even get it. If "Split" had been advertised as a sequel to "Unbreakable," I would have seen it in the theater. But I only heard about it when "Glass" came out and was billed as a sequel to both movies. I went to the library and borrowed the "Split" DVD so I could watch it before "Glass."
I absolutely love this movie for so many reason. So happy you two are reacting to it and please continue with Split then Glass. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Again, thank you for you fun reactions. It feels like I'm watching with family ☺️💚
I do like how they put you in one mindset. You have the brilliant man in the wheelchair looking for people with extraordinary abilities, setting him up kind of like professor x.
Here I am, watching a reaction video on a movie that I've never seen just because it helps me to forget about the soul crushing emptiness for a little while.
Great reaction, guys! Love this movie and it was so fun seeing it with you two. Really hope you'll do Split some time. McAvoy gives an amazing performance in it.
Personally I always did prefer "Unbreakable" though. Saw Sixth Sense in the theaters when it came out, then saw this one, and it resonated really strongly with me. Might be because I'm a bit of a comics nerd myself, I dunno. :)
Shyamalan and his twists. His "comic book nerd" series (Unbreakable, Split, and Glass) is amazing. So are The Sixth Sense and Signs. But I don't see many reactors take on The Village.
Please react to The Village. Everyone hated it, I loved it. They marketed as a horror movie, people was expecting a horror. It's a love story, great cast!
I had the misfortune of reading a newspaper review of Unbreakable before going to see it. The reviewer revealed the twist ending... but didn't mention that it _was_ the ending. I watched the whole movie thinking "Yeah, yeah, when are they going to get to that part?" It was something of a letdown when it finally got to the end.
This is one my favorite by M. Night. You watch his latest, Trap. If you want a series to watch you should watch Mike Flanagan's Midnight Mass. It is only 8 episodes.
Hope you two complete the trilogy. I’m personally a big fan of all three. Split definitely lives up to Unbreakable but many didn’t know it was going to be part of a trilogy at the time. Glass is well received but doesn’t get the same love as the other two. Hope you both get a chance to see some other of his as well. I highly recommend Lady In The Water. A highly underrated film from M. Knight that deserves more attention
The son pulling a gun on his dad might be a reference to a kid pulling a gun on George Reeves (the original actor of Superman) to see if he was bulletproof.
Woohoo first. the sequel to this movie split with James McAvoy is incredible I hope you guys are going to check it out unfortunately glass was a big disappointment
James McAvoy was absolutely amazing in Split. Unbelievable performance.
Must react to Split and Glass now. Won't regret it.

One of M. Night's best for sure.

Split is one of my favorite M Night Shyamalan movies. I hope you continue with the series. Great reaction!
Telling them its a series is kind of a spoiler
I do like how they put you in one mindset. You have the brilliant man in the wheelchair looking for people with extraordinary abilities, setting him up kind of like professor x.
Yeah, and then he turned out to be Lex Luthor.....what a twist.
Here I am, watching a reaction video on a movie that I've never seen just because it helps me to forget about the soul crushing emptiness for a little while.
❤
You're not alone, you'll overcome the emptiness. Meanwhile, watch a movie 🎉you two. Best wishes.
The most underrated M. Night there is. I love the implication, especially involving comics, that if Superman was real this is how he'd really appear.
Then Zack Snyder did just that approach with his Superman in "Man of Steel"... :)
I love this movie! Really cool take on the superhero genre. I haven't seen Split or Glass yet. I guess I'll have to visit those soon.
Great reaction, guys! Love this movie and it was so fun seeing it with you two. Really hope you'll do Split some time. McAvoy gives an amazing performance in it.
Great movie, glad to see you reacting to it... and then releasing the video just as I'm about to have lunch, perfect timing.
😊
I agree that “The Sixth Sense”is The Best!!💕👍

I may have an unpopular opinion but I really liked The Village.
@@TheOriginalSpooniesWorld I did, too. I'd actually rank it slightly above Signs, just for the social commentary. Criminally underrated.
The weight lifting scene, it's one of my favorite moments.😂
Please react to The Village. Everyone hated it, I loved it. They marketed as a horror movie, people was expecting a horror. It's a love story, great cast!
The Village is really underrated. Beautifully done film. Luckily, people are discovering it now and enjoying it.
I like it too!
It’s such a wonderful film that people don’t appreciate.
One of my absolute favorites... but I work in 4 hours so must resist and watch it tomorrow
😊
Yes!!
I must got a angel
'Cause look how death missed his ass
Unbreakable, what you thought they'd call me Mr. Glass?
Kanye West “Through the Wire”
Great movie👍👍

It would be! ☹️
Ugh, that's the worst!

Please react to Split too
I have the same opinion, this is one of MNS's 2 or 3 good movies imo.
Shyamalan has made more than 2-3 good movies.
You have too watch split next it’s one of the best of the trilogy
I’m so excited for this! But first-were the looks in the thumbnail pic when Mr Glass was revealed?! Update: yep! The exact part🤭
This is the first film in a trilogy. I hope you are committed to watching all 3 movies!
Great reaction! Please watch the next two films right away. I've noticed when reactors complete a series, they get more views. (Jedi mind trick)
😊❤
The son pulling a gun on his dad might be a reference to a kid pulling a gun on George Reeves (the original actor of Superman) to see if he was bulletproof.
Wow, that's nuts. Never heard of that before... Christopher Reeves, btw. :)
@@lennyvalentin6485 George Reeves was before Christopher Reeve, no relation just a weird coincidence and spelled a bit differently.
@@ganymeade275 That's right. George Reeves wasn't even his real name; it was George Bessolo.
@@ganymeade275 Oh, interesting! That's quite the coincidence then! The more you learn... :)
Please, please, please react to Donnie Brasco.
I do hope you follow with "Split" and "Glass". Total waste if you don't.
Yes, we will! 😊
The greatest super hero movie of all time along with The Dark Knight.
Woohoo first. the sequel to this movie split with James McAvoy is incredible I hope you guys are going to check it out unfortunately glass was a big disappointment
Split is terrific. And McAvoy is AMAZING in it.
I think they’re all worth checking out for James McAvoys performance in both alone
@@johnmoreland6089 I recently found out that James McAvoy had 3 weeks to prepare for his incredible role in split which makes it even more impressive
Awesome reaction/ can you please watch a movie called ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.
