There should be a ❤ button next to the 👍 button. This was a real pleasure to watch! Thanks for the tip about the birds releasing bubbles of air before they come up.
I really like your approach to taking wildlife photography and you inspire me to try harder, get closer and get lower when taking birds on water. Keep up the good work. Stunning images and I really like the candid nature of your videos, I wish I was as confident as you to talk to the camera when out photographing. Thankyou for sharing your thoughts and images with us. cheers Graham
Ah Trond your videos never disappoint and your images are always exceptional, I do have a soft spot for the grebe and the image's in this video where stunning. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Awesome. I shoot with the z6 and a 200-500mm Nikon lense. My subjects are mostly Bald Eagles, Owls,Hawks sometimes ducks and migratory warblers also some mammals.
I use the D500 with the 200-500 Nikkor and 1,4TC... A brilliant combination. I and many others are waiting for the lockdown to be lifted, so when can get out again.... Lovely photos
Magníficos videos. Eres una inspiración para mi, me encanta tu forma de abordar la fotografía de aves. Un saludo desde España. Ven e ilumínanos con tu imaginación.
I have been early up this morning to see if I could photograph some good sunrise and than come home see your great video and fantastic photos, I think this will be a good Sunday. Have a nice day Trond and keep up the good work.
Stunning sir! The image with the water droplets cascading behind the subject is incredible. Your videos are such a tonic in these strange times, I was due to photograph wetland birds on The Wash in the UK but cannot now due to travel restrictions. Thanks again Trond
Looks like you had a calm and cold morning, really beautiful colors reflecting in the water and so stunning photos of the goldeneye and the great crested grebe! Well done Trond!
You never fail to deliver Trond. That is some amazing footage and images of the Great Crested Grebe. I was fortunate enough to capture their mating ritual before the lockdown in the U.K. and can’t wait to get out there and see them again. Nice one mate. Cheers, Keith
Wow. This is wildlife photography at its best. The video, music and pics combined, are just fabulous and so inspiring. Your passion is truly contagious. Thanks so much for creating and sharing your art, Trond. It makes me want to use my gillie blanket a bit more. Your work is fantastic !
So nice to read this awesome compliment. I am feeling lucky. Thank you so much! The blanket is really good tool to get close and not disturb the wildlife 😀👍
Hi Trond, A bit late to the party with this video, but I was just going through your video library and saw it was about the GCG. I'm trying to get similar images at my local reserve. (very early mornings at the moment!). Great tip re watching the bubbles to be ready for the re-surface (just in case there is a fish in its beak!). I think I need to get a Ghillie blanket as the Grebe's spot me as I'm approaching the lake and I'm generally taking images of them 50-60M+ away!
I love the beautiful pinky/orange coloured background theme you have in a lot of your photos Trond. Could you do a video showing how you edit to get that effect?
Absolutely fantastic video Trond!!! You’re so inspiring!! Kinda wish our weather in Canada would cooperate so I can get out and shoot. Till then I’ll enjoy your images!! Cheers
Hey Trond, I always enjoy your vlogs and this one was no exception! Never commented before but since you decided to try the 180-400 TC1.4 lens I felt compelled! For me, it’s the sharpest, most incredible lense I own! Really fast and so accurate. I really think you will love it. If I had known just how amazing it is I could have saved a lot of money but it has an intimidating price tag. Anyways hope to see you run some videos where you really try it! Keep up the good work!
Lovely video trond 👍 The Great Crested Grebe was one of the birds I'd been planning all winter to go an photograph. I'd chosen the perfect low level spot almost level with the water with plenty of natural camouflage. But now with the current restrictions in the UK its unethical/against the "rules" for me to go out and spend hours with my camera and its not going to change anytime soon 🙄 oh well there's always next year I guess. At least your video has showed me what I'm missing 😉
Another great video Trond. I love your style of working-it's like being with a mate ot watching a vlog. Can I ask about settings? Are you using single or multi point AF i am struggling with single point AF.
@@trondwestby Thanks for the replyTrond. There are a number of photographers such as yourself, Espen Helland, Mortens Hilmer and Paul Miguel whose style of vlogging is really inspiring. Right now it's inspiring me to buy the Nikon 200-500 f5.6 lens!! Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Hey Trond! Just beautiful... The stills are just awesome the colors and background are perfect.... Your videos really inspire me to grow... even with my simple videos. It's great seeing the drone footage, did it take you long to learn to fly it? As always... I look forward to your next one! Sayin' hey.... Greg
Have you had your extenders and lenses calibrated to your cameras? When I use extenders my photos are soft, so I wonder if that would solve the problem. Even when I'm steady on the tripod and I have a good tripod.
I always calibrate all my lenses and also together with the converter. I do it myself. I made a video about it if you are intrested: th-cam.com/video/mfBgRtIj6ns/w-d-xo.html
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf lately xD
Thank you so much! I have to say yes...its so much sharper then the V2. I was really impressed and happy to have changed it, as I like using the converter to get closer. Worth it for me 😀👍
Hello, first of all, congratulations on your work. I would like to ask you what program you use to put the white frames that you put in the photos, thank you very much.
