Tell me if I’m wrong but I feel like those comments that jinx where she’s say that she a hero, I feel like those were meant to and really got to vi’s ego , kinda saying “u were meant to be the Leader but look at u now I took ur place “ and that’s why Vi is so hurt by it Thoughts ?
Also I love that Vi who had gotten slashed in the chest and was being supported by Cait immediately clocked the situation and powered through her injury to hold back her sister so she wouldn’t lose her too, and still shield her even though she was already hurt. I hope that Vi doesn’t get knocked out and wake up and find Jinx gone. I hope she gets a chance to try to help Jinx through this… plus VI’s gotta be hurting too, she was in the commune for days maybe weeks and probably grew to care about Isha too, and of course Vander has been taken from them again, she needs her sister as well. Jinx is really gonna go through it though, I’m sure she’s gonna blame herself for Isha.
Georgia is the only person I’ve seen point out that Jinx was betting on Vi in the club and I’m honestly super impressed cuz that’s such a small detail that I’ve not seen anybody else acknowledge yet and something I DEF wouldn’t have found on my own 😭🙌
Oh thanks = )) i spent a ton of time doing the frames by frames and I was wondering why they spent so long on this hand it must be important... then i saw the pretty pink and blue nails... and was like Jinx
I can’t believe you noticed that vague bit between the pipes as Jinx! I also kinda wonder if that dragon graffiti on the wall is from Jinx given it’s in pink and blue which are colors she likes to use a lot. It makes me wish this part of the story was a little longer. Or even Jinx talking to Vi about it, or she accidentally makes an off hand comment about one of the fights and Vi realizes she was looking out for her this whole time. Jinx learned how to be a big sister to Isha and then applied some of that towards Vi.
@@GeorgiaDow honestly great catch. And thanks for replying it’s nice to hear ur thoughts directly 😭🙌 While I have you here tho may I humbly suggest some videos on avatar the last airbender cuz there’s so much you could unwrap there and it’s SUPER popular 🙏🏻
Something that crushes my heart is the fact that when Vander is heading at Vi and Vi powers down the gauntlets, jinx looks afraid. Possibly afraid that she might have just lost her sister trying to do this. The level of fear in her eyes as she uses the lighter to see. She was terrified that she would be the reason her sister would 💀
16:35 When Vi told Jinx she didn't need her help and hadn't for a long time I took that as her acknowledging what I considered her biggest flaw in season 1: codependency. When Vi got out of prison she was deadset on rescuing Powder from Silco only to learn that Powder had grown into Jinx and was now working for Silco. Yet she was still determined to rescue Powder. She needed her little sister to still be someone who needed her big sister. Here she's admitting, sadly, that her sister has grown into someone capable of taking care of herself. You can hear in Vi's voice how much it hurts that her sister doesn't need her anymore.
I loved how Isha got involved in the group/family hug. She may not be attached to Vander like Jinx and Vi but she knows that he matters to Jinx. If he matters to Jinx, he matters to Isha
She said this as Powder S1 after the explosion. “Please Vi, you have to believe me!” (I didn’t mean to do this) Now, though Vi actually believes her and puts her fight down in order to be vulnerable :’) Makes it that much more meaningful
Another significant moment between Jinx and Vi is when they're reading Vander's letter to Silco, apologizing for what happened. Jinx is on the verge of tears saying if Silco had seen this maybe everything would have turned out different. Behind her Vi reaches her hand out, about to put it on Jinx's shoulder to comfort her but instead pulls it back and places it back in her gauntlet. This shows Vi wants to try to reconcile with Jinx but is still hesitant to do so, and chooses armoring herself over being vulnerable to her. I imagine forgiveness doesn't come easily to someone like Vi. Hopefully this is an obstacle the sisters will be able to overcame in act 3.
I saw this more like Vi seeing the similarities between Vander / silco and vi / jinx - jinx is stating that everything could have turned out differently for them while vi already had to accept the reality that it didn’t
27:41 If I remember correctly Vi got slashed across her stomach again just before this, that's why she's leaning on Caith. So for Vi to so quickly get over to Jinx to protect her is incredibly impressive
Jinx and Vi didn't have a normal sibling relationship since their parents died, and Vi needed to take on a caretaker role. Now that they are both adults, their relationship has changed to allow for bickering and fights and teasing each other which I'm not sure they've ever been able to do since they were so focused on survival for so long. I am just guessing that sibling bickering is healthy, I haven't read up on it.
I was not raised by my biological father. He sadly did not want to see me when he divorced my mother. I was 1 year old when I met my step father. I was raised by him. He loved me as his own blood and I love him very much so. I miss him a lot, since he passed away almost 3 years ago now. I am very lucky to had that man in my life and helping me build my character. Hope you keep a wonderful relationship with your family. 🙂
@ I’m sure the saddest thing for him was not being able to be there for you longer, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sure he loved you with all his heart.
I think an extremely important and overlooked turning point for Vi was when Jinx read the letter for Silco from Vander. The letter expresses how Vander lost his head to rage and lashed out at Silco, blaming him for what happened at the bridge and that he thought that Silco deserved it at the time. The letter was an apology as Vander realized that they were both at fault for what happened and wanted to mend their relationship, but they never did. Jinx laments about how things could have been different if Silco had read this letter. The situation described in the letter almost perfectly mirrors Vi and Jinx's falling out up to that point.
Your emo Vi costume is awesome. And I love how you're able to notice such small details about how Jinx and Vi act around each other. You are an expert. They definitely still care about each other. We needed this hopeful video after act 2.
“The blood of the covenant is thicker than the waters of the womb,” is the original phrase. Meaning blood shed on the battlefield together is stronger than ties formed by waters of the womb.
Honest to god, i want some fan art where you are literally consulting them and having them talk out their issues. In my head, Canon, you are their therapist.
You impressively notice such tiny details, Sherlock Georgia. AND I knew you would come back with a video looking at the positive aspects of the relationships after the pain of before, because it is one of your many strengths to see and share those things...so that you and others can heal. And your costume? Be still my heart! Beating So Fast in response to your talent and skills. Talk cosplay to me.
its the fact vi breaks away from cait whos helping her up and walk away to tackle and stop jinx. its the way she holds her back knowing how desperately jinx wants to get to isha but vi knows what happens next all too well, and refuses to let jinx get herself caught in the blast, all before shielding her from the sight of isha imploding and the blast itself.
@@viviwrecks2658 I can't see it either. I rewatched the whole scene and actually, it's Vi just watching there on two vympels, which remind her about Cait.
I am OBSESSED with Arcane & I found your videos because of that show. I am so glad I did, especially because my degree is also in psychology! Thank you Georgia!
@GeorgiaDow I am, I am finding it so fascinating! I feel like it's the most realistic and accurate display of so many different aspects of mental health
My guess/hope is that their relationship will be repaired-ish. They will still go their separate ways, but without the animosity of before. More like they will finally let go of each other in a healthy way and go their own way (as siblings do). From a writing stand point, they have already had their big fight that was getting hinted at way back in season one. It wouldn't make sense to suddenly have them back at each other's throats (maybe a brief argument as they deal with their grief). From a motivation standpoint, the events of episode 6 can't really be blamed on either sibling, so it is hard to imagine it causing another break. From a lore standpoint, Arcane has already made several small changes to the lore of the characters, there is no reason this can't be the same. And remember "Are we still sisters?" "Nothing will ever change that."
One thing I thought I saw was after Silco’s death she seems calmer and less erratic relatively speaking. Silco sent her on missions where she constantly committed violence or she snuck out to attack Silco’s enemies. She disassociated as a coping mechanism. After Silco’s death she has no new mission from him. Though the under city is embroiled in violence she is laying low. She is not seeking violence giving her a moment to recalibrate
Vi powering down her gloves also shows the second time in her life that she didn't punch her way out. The first being when she tried to give herself up to the enforcers as a kid.
Also some details I've seen people that know how to analyze better than I do: Vi's makeup in the pitfight montage covers her "vi" tattoo, which symbolizes vi not knowing who she wants to be at that moment Also Vi's back tattoo is also painted over at certain places, like the clouds on her shoulders that symbolize her desire to find powder, which shows that Vi no longer wants to associate with jinx After meeting with jinx and going to the tunnels her tattoos are once again visible symbolizing Vi finding her identity again for vander and maybe a small desire deep down to reconnect with jinx due to the situation with vander as well
I really like the moment where Vi and Cait are arm in arm, but Vi leaves her and chooses to help Jinx. It’s a mirror of the time Jinx fought Ekko on the bridge. Vi chose Cait and got her to safety, symbolically leaving Jinx behind. She seemed to want to go back for Jinx, but it was too late. This time she learned from her mistakes, saw more of Jinx’s POV, and chose her over Caitlyn.
I really hope Georgia breaks down Avatar The Last Airbender after this at some point cuz seeing her breakdown the nuance and complexity in these relationships just re iterate how many videos she could make on Aang, Zuko, Azula and iroh ALONE and that’s only like a half of the main cast😭🙌
@@Misappropriation okay I’m SO GLAD I’m not the only one who’s though this. My humble advice Is STOP being quiet about it and ask for it in the comments like I have been 😭🙌 knowing Georgia if she sees a few people talking about it she’ll likely be curios and once she gets a taste for the complexity in the psychology of ATLA I KNOW she’ll be as hooked as she was for arcane 😭🙌
I think for Vi & Jynx, loving each other is their default, it's as natural as breathing, and hating each other actually required energy on each of their parts; it's something they had to struggle to do. Now though the two of them have been so beaten down that they just don't have the energy anymore to go on hating one another and so they've come full circle back to that natural state of loving one another. The past hasn't magically gone away but at this point they've both kinda acknowledged that they don't want to be the people the trauma of their past made them. They've gotten older.
21:49 The music in this scene is phenomenal. It’s like the song starts out distorted and muted like you can almost barely hear it kind of how their whole family dynamic is distorted and the “real vander” is muted (his mind/essence hidden deep with the Warwick). Then the music gets louder and easier to hear as the distortion no longer matters (it doesn’t matter that Jinx killed her dad, that Vander doesn’t even look the same, the beef between the sisters, etc), it’s like all is forgotten in that moment as both Vi and Jinx hug their long-lost father.
I am more worried that Jinx will believe again that she is a jinx and that anyone close to her will die and distance herself from Vi. I’m hoping also that Ekko who used to be best friends with Powder will get a chance to talk to her whenever he gets back from where he’s been.
@@lavenderbambi3501Doesn’t mean she won’t blame herself since she felt responsible for her well being, and of course it’s the proximity thing she believes that being a jinx just means sooner or later being near her will ruin things
I don't think Jinx would have looked after Vi during her spiral down if she hadn't learned from Isha what it meant to be responsible for another like when Vi was responsible for Powder.
20:45 Yesss and I also think it’s a contrast to season 1 act 1. Vi said that she believes in jinx but she never showed it. Nor did she give jinx the space to prove herself (always helping her). So for her to actually show that she trusts in her abilities now is ✨beautiful✨ Also then hugging in the darkness: even in the darkest moment, they still found each other, love, and comfort🥲 I’m not ok
I really love what brings Vi back from rock bottom is the opportunity to help and her walls getting chiseled away by her naturally empathizing with others. Really shows at her core, she loves, cares and protects. Which is why she fell in love with Cait who was/is all that upfront.
Vi and Jinx remind me a lot of my older sister and me. She is 18 years older than me and we used to be very close, but an incident when I was 17 (I'm 25 now) broke all my trust in her, so we haven't been close in years. But in serious situations, we are there for each other. I always got that impression that for Jinx and Vi, they may not be super close in the future, that aspect of their relationship may be over, but in dire situations, they can come together and be there for each other.
One thing you didn’t talk about is when when Vi finds the letter from Vander to Silco, first she lets Jinx read it I think because she knows her sister cared for Silco even if she hated him and then when Jinx reads that letter, Vi sees Jinx is upset obviously on what could have been her hand hovers that she was going to comfort Jinx, but she drops it at the last minute, you can tell in the looks she gives Jinx after she is also thinking about what if they just accepted they both made mistakes and forgave each other? She wasn’t ready in the moment but I think it’s what finally let’s her to invite Jinx into that hug, her finally seeing her as her sister again. And Jinx has obviously wanted this all along, wanted her sister to love her as she is now jumps at that chance to finally be a family again. Also I love how detailed you are. I noticed Jinx betting on her sister and watching her at the arena and bar, but didn’t know she was following her making sure she got home safe too. I wonder how long she was doing that for. I think it was a mix of her wanting to see her sister, and wanting to help her, but knowing she couldn’t in the moment. She needed something like saving Vander to get her sister away from this self-destructive lifestyle that Jinx is only too familiar with.
5:37 I also think Vi always fights for someone or to protect someone. Now that she's on her own and fights in this self destructive manner, eventually she just runs out of having the will to still fight.
I am BEGGING YOU to make another Sevika video now that all of S2 is out!! I need another video explaining Sevika in certain scenes from your perspective, cause honestly they opened my eyes to so much more than I expected.
I love that vi, when trusting in her sister, calls out for vander because both vander and vi compliment each other’s awakenings. Vi was hiding her identity but glimpses of Isha and jinx building that family again slowly bringing her back out. While she wasn’t fully trusting in jinx yet, the yell for Vander wakes them both!! Ugghhhhhhh SUCH BEAUTIFUL WRITING AND ANIMATION!! I CANTT!! I have been a wreck this season and I’m NOT prepared for the 23rd lol..
@21:20 Can it also be interpreted as Vi having so little to go on anymore (her decision making abilities have not exactly made her happy recently) that she's pretty much ready to just give up and gamble on Jinx being right here. Not really knowing what to expect but ready to die in case Jinx is wrong?
14:20 I saw a comment on I think Instagram that said that this moment, Vi realizes that Jinx treats Isha way better than Vi ever treated Jinx as a kid. and that the look Vi gives isnt just "wow my sister has changed" but also a little bit of "Man, I'm always so terrible to you..."
You know, I already cried quite a bit watching it for the first time. But with your analysis in mind... oh boy. I am gonna be wrecked during the rewatch.
I think that was a bit of a reach. I screenshotted it and isolated the colors... nothing tells me there is a human figure there. But I might be wrong (and blind)
Seeing how Vi went down her I Hate Everything About You phase is definitely relatable. Whether you're a guy or a girl, you can't deny that we've been through that dark phase in our lives
Vander growling behind Vi when Jinx pulls her pistol on the guy feels like a dad scolding his kid for doing something stupid And also, it feels like, thats the reason why Vi dropped the gauntlets, becouse Vander "told" her
Your emotion at these beautiful scenes made me smile. I was choking back the tears just watching them, so I can only imagine what it's like going into full detail. Can't wait to watch act 3 analysis... But I'll cry with you this time!
I love how you break down their relationship. I'm also amazed of those little details that you have found that makes one see the depth of the emotions that Vi and Jinx have for each other, and I also love the fact that you are immersed in the series and that you are feeling the power of these moments which I have also felt. Never thought I would cry watching the League of Legends animated series........I just love it!
I would just like you to know that leaving in, and not redoing, scenes where you get more emotionally choked up help. I don't feel alone in how powerful these scenes and meanings are. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us, but also your humanity 💜💙
Looking forward for your next Arcane video, act 3,, specially that look on Catling after looking the blueprints, and the rests of Jinx artefact. So much emotions about all of it.
@GeorgiaDow I am heartbroken and utterly obliterated. be prepared we all need therapists after the last 3 episodes. i can't wait to see what you put out, I'll be waiting patiently.
I thought just the same, I swear!!! I was hoping for something diffferent than what we got in Act3 so I'm with the peeps saying this show might have ended on the group hug scene.
I have to mention, I love watching your videos for all the analysis on the psychology of the characters. But what I love even more is how much time and effort you put into the cosplays. They always look really amazing with all the little details you add!
these scenes 😭😭😭😭 .. So far , this storyline has the most hope. The trust is being rebuilt ever so slightly as the show progresses this is going in the right direction
The first time I cried into season 2 was that moment at the cave with the music and all of them hugging, I cried so hard at like 1 am... Best show ive ever seen ni my life 😭
Yeah this is definitely going to bring them together, Jinx needs Vi more than ever and Vi loves Jinx, she’s softened up to her over the last few episodes. I just hope that they can stay together now 😢
The other factor behind Vi's "tough gal" persona is her background, which is a life-or-death scenario. Vi grew up in prison, so if she wasn't tough, it would lead to her demise.
That piece you said about worrying about people despite having a fight with them struck a chord with me. When I was a kid I used to get in arguments with schoolmates and even my siblings, and then I realized I felt bad and would always extend the olive branch and apologize first. Maybe it was because I didn’t like the feeling of anyone being mad at me or because I might’ve convinced myself at a young age that the cause of the fight was my fault. But recently, at age 26, I asked my mother: “Why did I always apologize first? Even if it wasn’t my fault? Why am I always the one saying sorry and feeling bad?” And my mom told me: “uh? Cause you’re a good person? You care about people and have a kind heart. you’ve always been that way. Are you upset that you have a good heart and personality?” 😡
It's also worth noting that just as Vi displays a show of trust in Jinx when she releases her gauntlets in front of Warwick, Jinx also does the same when they get to Victor's sanctuary. Jinx was definitely NOT going to abide by the "no weapons" rule until she saw Vi drop hers again.
Yup, Vi set an example in a way. On the other hand, it's clear that helping Vander was a priority so if abiding the rule of no weapons was going to get help for him then she would agree to that.
Funny how no matter what, they are sisters, and they both *know* that. Holds a deeper meaning especially everything they've been through. There is love.
According to the subtitles of the episode 5, they call him the butteflyweight champion of the Piltover Boxing League, Gustove "The Scowler" Jowler. After Vi knocks him out, she must have become the new boxing champion. I always go back and rewatch episodes with subtitles cause it always tells more to the story like how we learned Vi's mom's name is Felicia.
Honestly, it's the outside parties that are truly preventing Vi and Jinx from fixing their relationship. Mostly on Vi's side. The thing about the 2 sisters is that Jinx has always been ready to fix it. Vi is the one holding it back due to her new relationships not accepting Jinx and her past. There's a reason the moment Vi goes "home" post breakup and after her "emo" phase that their relationship is at its best. This is why I see their relationship being a healthier Batman vs Joker type. Vi's connection with Piltover, the Enforcers and Cait will never allow for their relationship to be fixed, but I definitely see a sisterly cat and mouse chase being their eternal bond.
I mean. Vi tried everything she could to reach Jinx in season 1 and Jinx wasn't exactly on the same page. It's unfair to say it's mostly on Vi's side when she spent a whole season willing to sacrifice anything to be with Powder again and was "rejected" by Jinx at the Family Dinner. Let's not forget Jinx also tried to kill Vi at least 4 times. She being more rational now doesn't erase all the pain they caused to each other. Jinx is in a better state of mind because Isha's a good influence on her, as well as Vi only has a few moments of peace and happiness because of Caitlyn in S1.
I think the people that's blocking the sisters from reconciliation is Caitlyn and Silco. In the first season Caitlyn interrupting their reconciliation set Jinx off and made her paranoid of Vi's intentions. Then on the Bridge when Vi was going back to Jinx she heard the gunshot and ran back to Caitlyn to make sure she was okay which made Jinx think she was liar. Instead of letting Vi handle Jinx Ekko wanted Vi to take Caitlyn to safety. Vi wouldn't kill Caitlyn for Jinx. Now Caitlyn wants Vi to help her kill Jinx not caring how this mentally affected Vi and how she would have felt if she actually did kill Jinx. Silco when he found out that Vi was back tried to kill her before Jinx found out she was back. Silco saved himself by throwing Vi under the bus when Jinx found out Vi was there looking for her causing Jinx to doubt Vi. Then when they were at the table he tried to convince Jinx that Vi would abandon her and that he was the only one that cares about her which hurt Jinx because she wants her sister back but doesn't want to get hurt by her again. He tried to kill Vi but Jinx killed him. These two caused the separation between the sisters to grow every conversation they had. When the sisters were finally alone they settled their problems and see each other as family again not enemies. Silco's gone now Caitlyn needs to accept Jinx for Vi's sake if she can't do that then she has no business being around Vi.
Definitely agree. There are so many outside factors that pull them apart from each other. Jinx was also being influenced in season 1. Silco was trying to kill Vi and keep the sisters from reconciling. So much has happened that the Batman Joker relationship does seem like the only plausible long term connection. But that’s also a little sad considering how much closer they could have been if so much hadn’t already gone wrong.
Thats not what happened. Vi spent the entire first season trying to get Powder to realize she loved and accepted her. Even after Powder tried to murder Vi in cold blood with no explanation, Vi was vocally willing to give up every thing she had to get her sister out of the toxic situation that had just driven her to attempted suicide. It was mostly Silco's gaslighting and paranoid emotional abuse that kept Powder away from Vi as he deliberately did everything he could to isolate her. And it was Powders acts of mass murder in S1's final act that, temporarily, pushed Vi away this season.
Excellent video, as always! I love seeing your breakdown of these characters and their mentality as the season progresses, and I really hope there's a Viktor video on the way. He's reached some wild conclusions in Act 2!
It could also be mentioned that in the scene where Jinx is reading Vander's letter out loud, when she's done, Vi reaches to hold her shoulder as if to comfort Jinx, but let's her hand linger before instead reaching for her gauntlets. I think this highlights how awkward it feels for Vi to comfort her sister now: she would do so in a heart beat for Powder, but perhaps not for Jinx. Not yet at least.
Georgia, your videos are amazing! I'd love to see you tackle Agatha Harkness (and the other coven members) from Agatha All Along. Her character is so rich and layered, I'm sure you'd have a lot to say!
After everything that happened in act 2 i find it almost impossible for Jinx and Vi to not have their sisterly bond again ..actually i feel like their bond could be even stronger..Jinx lost Vander and Isha, she’s in terrible pain and Vi protected her sister in the explosion because she didn’t wanna lose her again ..so they know they only have each other now
Yeah, while they were walking the tunnels Jinx said sth about finding Vander and helping him to be their chance for a do over (I think? I can't recall the exact words). The story repeated to a degree, they lost him once again... but it did work for the benefit of their sisterly bond, helped them to reconnect.
The way I saw it when jinx held the gun between vi and Vander it looked like she not only was she conflicted but also was having flashbacks to when she shot silco and her not wanting to kill her dad again or shoot vi. Also I feel like isha became the 3rd sister ❤
Im so so glad to have found your videos when season 1 came out, because now i get to watch you as season 2 progresses. You make so many good, insightful points that really add to my understabding of the story (and i love psychology, so theres that) And your outfits are always so on point! Thank you for all that you do ❤
... I had fucking forgotten that Vi's Pit Fighter emblem was a Murk Wolf... The two-headed magically twisted wolf. The very same wolf that was used to make Vander into Warwick. Fucking Fortiche and Riot... How many layers are you going to throw in there?

8:00 Georgia, Vi doesn't have roman numerals on her cheek, it's her name, "VI" :D
27:45 I think when Vi covers Jinx with her own body it wasn’t just to physically protect her but also so Jinx didn’t have to watch Isha die as well.

Something that crushes my heart is the fact that when Vander is heading at Vi and Vi powers down the gauntlets, jinx looks afraid. Possibly afraid that she might have just lost her sister trying to do this. The level of fear in her eyes as she uses the lighter to see. 16:35 When Vi told Jinx she didn't need her help and hadn't for a long time I took that as her acknowledging what I considered her biggest flaw in season 1: codependency. Oooh yes, good point!
I loved how Isha got involved in the group/family hug. She may not be attached to Vander like Jinx and Vi but she knows that he matters to Jinx. If he matters to Jinx, he matters to Isha
Also, the way Jinx delivers the line “you have to believe me” is just so perfect
yes I felt it so deeply
@ Ella Parnell is just becoming one of my favorite people.
I love that part
Yes!!You can feel the emotion in that line..like she’s asking her to put aside everything that happened between them and to trust her sister again
Hopefully this is an obstacle the sisters will be able to overcame in act 3.
yes = ) i was going to talk about vi going to touch her but doesnt
I mentioned the same thing! =)
Shows how much Vi loves her sister despite everything..she was just very conflicted but never lost her love for her
Jinx and Vi didn't have a normal sibling relationship since their parents died, and Vi needed to take on a caretaker role. Now that they are both adults, their relationship has changed to allow for bickering and fights and teasing each other which I'm not sure they've ever been able to do since they were so focused on survival for so long. I am just guessing that sibling bickering is healthy, I haven't read up on it.
As a step father when you called him their Father so strong it made the tears break free
Same Same
I was not raised by my biological father.
Relationships are thicker than blood. A kid sees you as their father? Than you are just that. :)
Where even were they? Was that like ex hideout for vander n silco?
@ based on the location and the mining jackets, it was likely an office in the mines where they used to work together.
💯💯
Your emo Vi costume is awesome. And I love how you're able to notice such small details about how Jinx and Vi act around each other. You are an expert. They definitely still care about each other. We needed this hopeful video after act 2.
Yeah looks like she learned how to wrap her hands in an authentic boxer style👍
Thank you so much!! yes i need that after all that pain from the end = ) @nooch3287 yeah i know how to do hand wraps
24:00 Jinx was also afraid that Vi died, that she jinxed it once more
“The blood of the covenant is thicker than the waters of the womb,” is the original phrase. Meaning blood shed on the battlefield together is stronger than ties formed by waters of the womb.
Jinx taking a minute to figure out whether or not that moment with Vander was real reminds me of when she asked if Vi was real in season one.
Honest to god, i want some fan art where you are literally consulting them and having them talk out their issues. In my head, Canon, you are their therapist.
I understand characters better when you talk about them
thats what I hope for
You impressively notice such tiny details, Sherlock Georgia. AND I knew you would come back with a video looking at the positive aspects of the relationships after the pain of before, because it is one of your many strengths to see and share those things...so that you and others can heal. And your costume? Be still my heart! Beating So Fast in response to your talent and skills. Talk cosplay to me.
was a fun one to do and i think we needed a happy video after act 2
@@GeorgiaDow Wise woman you are! AND it was my first guess that you had fun with this cosplay. = )
its the fact vi breaks away from cait whos helping her up and walk away to tackle and stop jinx. its the way she holds her back knowing how desperately jinx wants to get to isha but vi knows what happens next all too well, and refuses to let jinx get herself caught in the blast, all before shielding her from the sight of isha imploding and the blast itself.
Vander hugging them was almost too much
he was hugging and purring !!!
1:50 great eye, I didn’t even notice that detail. 3:55
I still don't see it even when she zoomed in! Where on earth is it?
@@viviwrecks2658 I can't see it either. I rewatched the whole scene and actually, it's Vi just watching there on two vympels, which remind her about Cait.
@@AleximvTV yeah maybe Jinx is hiding somewhere, but Vi is only paying attention to what reminds her of Caitlyn
I am OBSESSED with Arcane & I found your videos because of that show. I am so glad I did, especially because my degree is also in psychology! Thank you Georgia!
Wonderful hope you enjoy all the psych of arcane
Jinx: talks to Vander like a puppy.
Vi and Isha: see a very angry German Shepard coming at them.
😂
you mean angry wolf lol
One thing I thought I saw was after Silco’s death she seems calmer and less erratic relatively speaking. Silco sent her on missions where she constantly committed violence or she snuck out to attack Silco’s enemies. She disassociated as a coping mechanism. After Silco’s death she has no new mission from him. Though the under city is embroiled in violence she is laying low. She is not seeking violence giving her a moment to recalibrate
Arcane holds a special spot for me being a step father to two daughters who have experienced trauma.
Vi powering down her gloves also shows the second time in her life that she didn't punch her way out. The first being when she tried to give herself up to the enforcers as a kid.
Interesting. Jinx _literally_ betting on Vi coming through. Excellent foreshadowing and a great catch.
Also some details I've seen people that know how to analyze better than I do:
Vi's makeup in the pitfight montage covers her "vi" tattoo, which symbolizes vi not knowing who she wants to be at that moment
Also Vi's back tattoo is also painted over at certain places, like the clouds on her shoulders that symbolize her desire to find powder, which shows that Vi no longer wants to associate with jinx
After meeting with jinx and going to the tunnels her tattoos are once again visible symbolizing Vi finding her identity again for vander and maybe a small desire deep down to reconnect with jinx due to the situation with vander as well
thank you for this
I really like the moment where Vi and Cait are arm in arm, but Vi leaves her and chooses to help Jinx.
YES! I've been secretly hoping that she does ATLA but haven't been vocal about it. I really hope she does.
That would be doooppee
🙌🏻
@@Misappropriation okay I’m SO GLAD I’m not the only one who’s though this. My humble advice Is STOP being quiet about it and ask for it in the comments like I have been 😭🙌 knowing Georgia if she sees a few people talking about it she’ll likely be curios and once she gets a taste for the complexity in the psychology of ATLA I KNOW she’ll be as hooked as she was for arcane 😭🙌
Korra is pretty complex too
I think for Vi & Jynx, loving each other is their default, it's as natural as breathing, and hating each other actually required energy on each of their parts; it's something they had to struggle to do.
That shot of the hug between Jinx, Vi, Vander, and Isha. Oh! It’s so beautiful! That shot needs to be hung in the Louvre.
Jinx had her family back only to have it her adopted sister and her father cruelly taken away
lets hope she keeps her sister
I am more worried that Jinx will believe again that she is a jinx and that anyone close to her will die and distance herself from Vi. I’m hoping also that Ekko who used to be best friends with Powder will get a chance to talk to her whenever he gets back from where he’s been.
@@theredeft5319this time it wasn't her fault tho
@@lavenderbambi3501Doesn’t mean she won’t blame herself since she felt responsible for her well being, and of course it’s the proximity thing she believes that being a jinx just means sooner or later being near her will ruin things
13:05 I always loved how the tunnel lights up from the slap 😂😂
XDD
That alleyway shot also has the House Kirraman banner, which is part of what set Vi off and had her hallucinating Caitlyn
I don't think Jinx would have looked after Vi during her spiral down if she hadn't learned from Isha what it meant to be responsible for another like when Vi was responsible for Powder.
3:35 I kind of wish there was a big red circle where Jinx is supposed to be at, because I don't see a thing
its between the pillars to the left side
@@GeorgiaDowI’m so sorry I absolutely do not see it 🙏
The brain rot must be getting to me now coz I still can’t see it😭
I can't see it either 😭 do I need glasses? 😂
you'll see the skin color. whereas everything else is green hue may be ill do a short on it
20:45 Yesss and I also think it’s a contrast to season 1 act 1. Vi said that she believes in jinx but she never showed it. Nor did she give jinx the space to prove herself (always helping her). So for her to actually show that she trusts in her abilities now is ✨beautiful✨
Also then hugging in the darkness: even in the darkest moment, they still found each other, love, and comfort🥲 I’m not ok
"You don't turn your back on family even if they do"- Dominic Toledo
yes so well said
5:37 I also think Vi always fights for someone or to protect someone.
Love your pit fighter vi cosplay.
Glad we have made it here to this analysis... Hope act 3 sticks the landing and pull off something super special.
I also hope they do = )))
This series is so emotional that even watching your analysis of it made me cry all over again. I'm SO glad you are covering this series!
1:27 WAIT I NEVER EVEN NOTICED IT WAS JINX
you didn’t notice the nails? they even showed her face in the crowd with a hood on
@ I noticed her face and her in the crowd watching vi, but not the fact that it was her hand holding the paper to support vi
If only we knew what would happen in the final act of S2, if only we knew. I’ll never emotionally recover
You know, I already cried quite a bit watching it for the first time.
But with your analysis in mind... oh boy.
I am gonna be wrecked during the rewatch.
The squeaky laugh at 12:15 has gotta be one of the cutest things I've heard in a while. You're honestly precious lmao ❤😂
Awe you left the part when Vander wouldn’t let the one guy hurt her and said don’t touch my daughter!
3:30 I don't know if I'm just blind, but I don't see what she's talking about. Blue hair where?
i’m not seeing it either 😭
I didnt see it either at first but now I think its the very bottom tip in the yellow space in between the pole an the wall
I think that was a bit of a reach. I screenshotted it and isolated the colors... nothing tells me there is a human figure there. But I might be wrong (and blind)
@@under_hyped you're absolutely right it is a reach😂 but it's the only thing that made sense in my mind
At 3:13 Vi is looking at the kiramin flags hanging. She even steals one and sleeps with it.
Seeing how Vi went down her I Hate Everything About You phase is definitely relatable. Whether you're a guy or a girl, you can't deny that we've been through that dark phase in our lives
Vander growling behind Vi when Jinx pulls her pistol on the guy feels like a dad scolding his kid for doing something stupid
And also, it feels like, thats the reason why Vi dropped the gauntlets, becouse Vander "told" her
Not ... directly related to the theme of this, but... the music intertwines so amazingly with the story and emotion. man.
I appreciate the emotion you showed while talking about jinx and vi, because their complex relationship hits me right in the feels.
Your emotion at these beautiful scenes made me smile. I was choking back the tears just watching them, so I can only imagine what it's like going into full detail.
Can't wait to watch act 3 analysis... But I'll cry with you this time!
I was literally just looking for a new arcane analysis video to watch!!
Perfect timing!! ❤
All your cosplays are great but the new Vi style looks amazing on you!
Looking forward for your next Arcane video, act 3,, specially that look on Catling after looking the blueprints, and the rests of Jinx artefact.
So much emotions about all of it.
I love seeing Georgia’s breakdowns of these shows and characters from her perspective. I feel so much more connected them after every video she makes
Yep, in her own words - as she once told Jinx - she did what she had to in order to survive.
But recently, at age 26, I asked my mother:
“Why did I always apologize first? Even if it wasn’t my fault? Why am I always the one saying sorry and feeling bad?”
And my mom told me: “uh?
Really needed this after all the trauma from act II 😭🙏. Also, awesome cosplay!
I like your reactions I'm impatient to hear your opinion on the last 3 episodes.
The pit fighter Vi montage broke my heart.
Your videos are the best Arcane character analysis I’ve seen 💜💜
awww < 3
Your Arcane videos are therapy to me, thank you for posting
Oooh yes! I'd love an analysis video on him as well since he transformed quite a lot (also beacuse I don't really get this guy lol)
17:11 and she even puts the gloves back on. So she "armor's up" again.
Please, give me more of this goodness!
Thank you for risking shedding more tears for our enrichment and understanding of this show!
You make so many good, insightful points that really add to my understabding of the story (and i love psychology, so theres that)
And your outfits are always so on point! Thank you for all that you do ❤
13:05 I like to say during this fight these two managed to achieve maximum "DON'T MAKE ME TURN THIS CAR AROUND!!" energy
... I had fucking forgotten that Vi's Pit Fighter emblem was a Murk Wolf... The two-headed magically twisted wolf. The very same wolf that was used to make Vander into Warwick. Fucking Fortiche and Riot... How many layers are you going to throw in there?
Ragazza hai una straordinaria empatia e una grande intelligenza emotiva, è un dono prezioso
Tell me if I’m wrong but I feel like those comments that jinx where she’s say that she a hero, I feel like those were meant to and really got to vi’s ego , kinda saying “u were meant to be the Leader but look at u now I took ur place “ and that’s why Vi is so hurt by it
Thoughts ?
