@@ImFungiHunter we are on our 2nd flush of Porcinis here in Western Colorado @ 10kft+ and the rainbow chanterelles have been active for a while, hopefully they continue for another couple wks. before it starts winding down. Rain was plentiful this summer praise Jah! We were/are seeing rare species in abundance too; HUGE Hedgehog (Hydnum Repandum), blue chanterelles (polyozelus complex) & violet chanterelles (gomphus clavatus). Armies of Amanita Muscaria & Ramaria too! Never seen so many Russulas, and the shrimpies (R. Xerampelina) have been super tasty and abundant!
Do you think the fall will still continue to produce out there? I was supposed to be out there last Nov., and I am definitely going to Western WA. in late Oct. this year for a couple weeks… I would love to forage the PNW, you guys got it good out there! 🙌🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼

@@brodiwheeler7583 Hey Brodi, GM CO is awesome for mushrooms. The higher elevation have been producing Kings here and now with some more cooler weather and a bit of rain should start them popping. This year has been early for so much. Both White and Golden Chanterelles have been popping, although I haven't gotten any white (YET) LOL Lots of Lobsters, Pines are starting in OR and we see the Ramarias, Russulas and Amanitas. Thinking were a month early on most of them. Depends also where and what your foraging for here. I would aim for OCT. If we keep getting these cycles of hot then cooling back and forth will also determine what pops, great to hear your on the mushrooms. I'm keeping track of when they start to come to lower elevations. When I see, I will share and you will see. Thanks for watching and commenting. Stay in touch and LMK when you might be heading here. Have a great day Brother👊🍄🙏

Hi Diane. Well I do have a lot of areas that I know from going to for years but, I also have been using something called onX Hunt App. I got the Premium pkg which is not a lot/year. You can go and check it out and they give you a 7 day free trial. I use it and to be honest , it was very simple and easy. You can also use it for free, but it has basic functions. I mentioned it in the last few videos (Cascade Mountain Kings) and the Chanterelle one you watched. I did put some links in the description of the video. I only use it for mushroom hunting and just the 1 state (WA). I like the ability to know the land Im searching and also the ability to choose the types of trees in the areas. Shows colored elevation grades, depending on how steep the trails are. You have a lot of control in the settings. My friend who is a Commercial Forager told me about it and I haven't looked back since. Hope that helps. Happy to answer any other questions about it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day👊🍄

Hi I love mushrooms and I’m going to do mushrooms hunting tomorrow. Can you guide me which area should I go to. I lives in Marysville Washington.

GM. I'm just seeing this now. I got in late from foraging yesterday. What kinds of Mushrooms were you looking to find? Lower elevations would be better as there is a Red Flag Warning for higher elevations. Depends also how far you want to travel. Air quality is not great today as well. Mt Loop has a vast amount of areas to look, but again also your limited to lower elevations. LMK what you were thinking happy to try and point you in the right direction. As always though be safe no matter what you decide. Happy Foraging👊🍄

@@ImFungiHunter Thanks for your reply. I’m looking for chanterelle and king bolete . Today I went up to Mt. Loop but have no luck. I found some bolete but I wasn’t sure what kind when I cut them they turned blue. I have a lot of fun though.

@@wilaivi8945 YW. Great to hear you got out there. Chanterelles should be in some of the lower elevations, look in the hemloch's with Salal and ferns and some open patches with the Moss cover. Like in my recent Chanterelle video. King Boletes you will have to gain access to much higher elevation. By now, some of them would be pretty buggy. As per the Boletes, they sound like they could be Butter Boletes . A great field guide on the types is highly recommended. Better to be safe and sure. Thanks for sharing . Good luck with your foraging. 👊🍄
