25 Ton Trane Voyager No Heat!

  • This was a no heat call for a zoned Trane 25 ton voyager gas package unit. This was a pretty easy diagnostics of a bad ignitor. I go over the diagnostics and how I got to that conclusion. I also go over some tips for changing out the ignitor.

    It would have been helpful if You had given the ohm readings of the old/new igniter. I enjoy your videos very much

    This is not an inducer it's a forcer or forced draft assembly.

    Question in regards to the Voyager in heat mode. What's could be a possibility to have a knocking noise coming from inducer motor/ heating exchange area while in the process of firing up? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

      Possibly having a screw loose. Hard to say without hearing it.

      Inlet and manifold gas pressure would be most common thing to cause knock. Next would be to check both screens behind inducer outlet. Then make sure the igniter and inducer plate gaskets are good.

    How high is too high (ohms) for this particular igniter?
