    When I got this deck, I didn't know anything about tarot tube or tarot on kickstarter, etc... I saw it and I fell in love with it, but then I ALMOST didn't get it because it was a "Amazon best seller." I didn't want the trendiest deck that everybody had. I wanted something that was individual to me. I almost didn't get it but I'm so glad I did. And then, funnily enough, the backlash came and it turns out this wasn't a mainstream deck after all. I'm so glad I listened to my intuition and got this deck *dispite* it's popularity.
    Also... I think a lot of people who decided they couldn't work with it, have the same issue you mentioned. They didn't see the symbolism in the simplicity, they just saw 4 cups or whatever. I found this deck spoke to me so clearly, especially when I consider her use of color. For example, the daughter of water, to me, represents reflection, which is what is highlighted by the color. Idk.. this deck is exactly the right kind of "abstract," for me.
    And I love your thoughts and interpretations on these cards!!

    The fool card here for me is not the regular: "take a chance" or "do I dare". If the bird don't learn to fly,it won't survive. So it's a much more deep step to take to survive what's come next

    Hi, I have had the eame experience as you with this deck - everyone loved it and i didnt understand why. I wasn't ready, my knowledge about the cards wasn't deep enough yet. Now it is and I feel this deck is trully genius🙏🌟✨️ I feel it can be read intuitively so well, ine can comnect plant, animal and colour medicine from each card too. It's funny, for me, this Strength card has always felt like a reverse of the traditional image with the same meaning. So in the RWS version, you have the figure approaching the lion (their wildness, fears, etc.) with grace and softness, despite the lion's big jaws. In the Wild Unknown, though, you have the lion holding a breakable rose by the stem. To me it has the same energy--your wildness isn't something to be afraid of, it can even hold a fragile flower when it wants.

      (Also love your other interpretations, by the way! I never noticed the continuity with the doves or the colors of the branches in 7 of Wands. 6 of Cups is one of my favorite cards of all time and I'm planning to get a tattoo of it taking up most of my torso one day with the roots sprawling over my belly.)

      Also also... IT'S A ROAD. Omg I didn't notice that at all!! I just saw two branches about to touch and was thinking about sparks but the road is brilliant!

      Ooh, your idea about the Strength card is golden! A pointer that you may be facing your fears or wildness soon, but it's alright because it'll be in a gentle way.
      Wow, the 6 of Cups tattoo idea is amazing. :) And the road-thing for the 2 of Wands didn't occur to me until I prepped for the video, haha! Thank you so much for watching! So happy you liked my ideas about it and added your own. ❤

    Wonderful video, thank you so much for making it! I recently got this deck, it was so nice to hear a refreshing perspective (especially with the booklet how it is).

      Awesome, I'm glad you found it interesting. :) At least the sometimes lacking booklet encourages us to speak to others about their take on the meanings to broaden our horizons. So I guess minimalist booklets like that can be a good thing, in a way. ;) Thank you so much for watching! ❤

    This was really cool Anya ❤️
    I totally agree the book keeps things pretty generic and vague. I don’t mind that actually as I feel like it kind of forces me to use my intuition to fill in the blanks.
    I loved your description of the fool. I find that a weird choice for that card too, but I liked you take on it. I used to draw roots on trees too - still do if I get the chance 😄 I love the snake family for Wands too ❤️
    What blew my mind while I was watching this, is that I’ve never thought about WU as a pip deck before. But you’re right, it is.
    Thanks so much for sharing. And I hope your new website does well ❤️

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooh it's so awesome you drew roots on trees, too! :D Yeah, I was thinking that as well - the book's gaps leave some space for our imagination and encourages us to trade meanings with each other. :) And it's sort of "half" a pip deck, I guess? Since sometimes there are animals or plants on it, not just the symbols. So I get why you wouldn't think of it as a pip deck. Thank you so much for watching, I'm glad you liked it! ❤

    This fool card, I both like but abstractly because I like fowl. The gosling/cygnet pictured doesn't have webbed feet, it would never be in a tree... even a wood duckling would have been better as they do tend to fling themselves out from a much higher nest!
    However, it's about the noob baby bird I guess :) not "accuracy" !

    Hi again, I would really love to hear your thoughts on and interpretation of 4cups in this specific deck (rat walking over 4 cups). 🙏

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Good question. It's giving me 4 of Discs vibes - as if the rat is trying to protect it. Usually in the 4 of Cups, it's about focusing on what we already have but overlooking new opportunities. So it would be interesting to look at the difference there, since the rat seems to be aware of what it has and wants to keep it. I'm not sure. 🤔

    Hello! I know it is old video but I hope you will see my comment. I just wanted to ask you a question: which book you would recommend to learn about tarot? Not only meanings of each card but also how they connect and work with other cards? Your videos and personality are inspiring, thank you for the content you make!

    Can you help me with the 9 on swords?I have no idea what the heck the image even is. lol Any idea why she would use something so grotesque?

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Marie! Yeah that's a very icky card in this deck! I think she wanted to illustrate the nightmare-ish quality of the card. The eyeballs, the maggots, and the unidentifiable thing that doesn't look like it belongs to a real animal...I see it as being plagued by things within you that are so vile to you that you'd rather not even look at them and that may be unidentifiable to you. The behaviors or decisions you toss and turn over at night even though all you want to do is just forget them. I think the card is usually a challenge to dare to look at these shadows and bring them to light - maybe they won't look so disgusting then, even. ;)

    • @geminidream4347
      @geminidream4347 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a most excellent meaning to use for that card now that you pointed it out to me this way. Thank you so very much. *hugs* I am so glad I found you because now maybe I can use this deck and it will resonate with me. I think my aversion to that card and the dead bird might of played a part in that. I wished she would of just used a bird laying on it's back though instead of another grotesque image . As city dwellers we would rarely if ever come across a dead bird in that condition. Which in my opinion, would make you remember to be more kind and caring to our feathered friends so you don't see them laying on the street when you see them in this condition.

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I totally understand. I think the Death card that shows the disected bird is also an interesting display of revealing every corner and the secret workings of the ego. So I certainly understand why she did it, but it can be a little disturbing! And thank you so much for watching and commenting, I hope you can connect a bit better with your deck now. Let me know if you want to chat about it! :)

    • @geminidream4347
      @geminidream4347 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't see it as a dissected corpse, so that's an interesting take. I saw it as you sometimes find while out walking in a forest area or on a large farm. You do find things in that state of decomposition. Since most people now live in cities though, you wouldn't see it like that. You would only see as you do when it is alive, body and feathers. I know whenever I see a dead bird, it makes me so sad that I do think about doing things to improve their quality of life. Like putting decals on your windows so they don't fly into them, or making sure there are water bowls out in the summer and feeders full in winter because it does impact me so bad seeing one laying dead that is whole and not decomposed. Thank you for that take as well. Now I know what to say when someone sees it and says put that deck away. Or burn it when they see the other card. lol

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it is great how cards can motivate us to do better in such unexpected ways! :) Protecting the birdies in the city is an awesome inspiration to draw from it - I never thought about that! And yeah, for the Death card, I did mean decomposed, not dissected, just got it jumbled in my head. ;)
