    Excellent! So many other shaker motor install videos. Yours was the ONLY one I needed because I have a SAM model AVATAR. Only difference no predrilled for motor. I have a drill template. Thanks!

      Awesome thanks for the positive comments LaughDogLaugh. Much appreciated. Glad you were able to drill those holes in the cabinet.

      @@pinballsupernova Haven’t drilled yet about to. Where do you live? I just saw your game room video, IM MOVING IN! Name change Pinball NIRVANA! My favorite classics TWZ and Adams Family. Sold my STNG machine a few years ago.

      That game room has changed a bit but still have about 20 games. Got rid of Ghost Busters and a couple others since shooting that vid.

      @@pinballsupernova It’s awesome! With all the lockdowns and unable to travel easily, just spent vacation money on a beautiful clean Avatar with led light package. I met James Cameron at a Producers Conference a few months before Avatar release. He gave a talk on 3D tech and why his version much better. We were swarmed after the talk by media, “What did he say about Avatar?” So I kinda had to buy the machine.

    Looking to install this into a Monopoly Pin. Will it shake when you hit pops and bumpers? Thanks!

    • @pinballsupernova
      @pinballsupernova  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      unfortunately not. This will not work in a Monopoly since that is a Whitestar style motherboard and Metallica and others are a Sam Style motherboard. I am not familiar of any shaker motors working with Monopoly. This may work but is a 3rd party hardware . I would reach out to the company and ask before purchasing.

    Okay so I just finished installing my shaker on my Metallica Monster Premium and if anyone else is watching this video there is one extra 2 prong plug on your shaker board and a connector by the flipper switch that plugs in. Without that step non SHAKEY SHAKEY! Lol Still a great tutorial

      Cliff, thanks for the comment. From what I remember , there were three connectors that needed connecting from the Pinball Life Shaker to the shaker board. One from the shaker motor to the board, the other two come from the wire that connects to the wiring harness in the back of the cabinet. One goes to the board and the other to the connector inside the front of the cabinet by the flipper. I think I show all of those connections in the video. Maybe the board you have is different than the one from Pinball Life?

      Have the same but no plug just ground wires by the flipper on a road case premium.

    I’m way more confused after seeing this video. Trying to add a cointaker motor to a 2007 Spiderman. But you weren’t very clear on the wiring..

      Well, I created this video like 5 years ago. I just watched the video and I pretty much followed the video even though I created it 5 years ago. The one cable of the shaker motor goes to the board in the front of the cabinet, the second cable which goes into the back of the cabinet goes to the other side of the board in the front of the cabinet. Once the cable is in the back of the cabinet, there should be an empty cable already in the back of the cabinet that plugs into the cable that is coming from the board in the front. I don't know if the Cointaker shaker is different than the shaker I installed? My shaker came directly from Stern. If my video isn't helping you should look for another video on this installation and see if that helps. Thanks for watching.

      @@pinballsupernova I’m pretty sure my Spiderman is different than the way your Metallica is wired, even though it’s a sam system. So that’s where the confusion lies.

    Mine came with an extra small board and I didn't know what to do so I didn't do the install. Any idea what it could be? Also mine didn't have all of the screws. What would you recommend? Any advice would be greatly aporeciated

      Cliff, where did you get the shaker from? Stern, Marco, or Cointaker? The other board might be for another type of system that was accidentally put into the box. Call the manufacturer of where you bought the shaker came from and ask. Do not use the wrong board for the type of pinball machine you are installing the shaker into. Can cause damage. For the screws, call the company you ordered it from or take the screw and go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy screws the same length. Nothing longer because the screw may come through the wood in the cabinet. Let me know what happens.

    did you have to enable the shaker in your settings or was it working normal after the install? i saw on your screen it showed as " disabled" also ive heard that the blue capacitor on these has to be removed or it can cause some board troubles? this looks like the shaker from pinball life, ive just today ordered one myself. thanks for the video, big help

    • @pinballsupernova

      Hans, thanks so much for the kind words. Nope once you install the motor, it should work instantly. I did not have to remove anything in order for it to work. You see the disabled message because the coin door is open and the 50v/20v is turned off the machine. I pushed in the white button inside the coin door to enable the 50v/20v , the message of disabled goes away. Nothing else needs to be enabled. Yes, I believe it is the Pinball Life shaker motor Thanks for watching the video.
