- Hello all dear. Welcome back to my visit my channel. Today I back from the Kampongsom market and bought geoduck clam for my recipe. It's my first to cook and eat geoduck clam. I cook geoduck clam with vegetable curry. My family love this recipe so much. This geoduck clam seems expensive to me. But, it's so tender and yummy.

Your so brave ,it is that expensive omg. I will feel something to touch this. It is quite big this geoduck clam. The razor clams are small . You have a variety and so many dishes . Your markets are so good you get everything and so fresh and good quality.

I felt sorry for that clam when it shot out that hot water. Wow! So sad.
I was sad on that part too, hopefully it didn't feel it too long.🥺
That is because like most seafood she ruins, she had no clue how to prepare or cook the geoduck.
I’m from WA state, home to geoducks and had she known what she was doing, this poor thing would have never suffered because that’s not how you kill them. Done properly it wouldn’t have felt a thing and you wouldn’t have seen something so uncalled for.

How I love the freshness and crispness of all the produce at the market! I so wish we had something like this in my area.
What do you call Farmer’s Markets, U-pick farms, Farms that sell to the public, public markets in almost every bigger city, organic markets, co-ops etc.
The USA not only produces some of the best AND SAFEST produce, meats and seafoods, including using local farmers only stores, we have strict stipulations on imports.
I get a wee offended when I hear or read things the uneducated post.
In Asian countries, ALL of their produce is sprayed with toxic insecticides and they have to boil everything or buy those ultrasonic devices and use them on literally on everything before eating it.
Calm down. It wasn’t an insult to my country, the good ole USA. Here in NC, I simply do not have any market as extensive as this where there is an abundance of so many different products in one place. I also don’t have any big fish markets (as Sros does) near me as I’m 4 hours away from the ocean (not my country’s fault, lol). I couldn’t say whether or not this particular market uses pesticides and such on their produce, but you apparently know more than I do. No need to insult me, referring to my ‘ignorant’ post, as you denounce Asian markets where I doubt you have even been to. Sheesh, some people are sensitive. Or just downright angry. I’ve been to Asian markets and the food is not as fresh as you might think. Most of the shellfish is almost dead or dead which is very dangerous for human consumption.
I will repeat that in Asian countries especially their produce is sprayed with something similar to DDT.

Yes, there are really amazing places outside of America, but I just hear so many downgrade the same country that has given so much.

It’s important to note that the butter you use is not actual butter. Butter will burn almost instantly at high cooking temperatures. What you are probably using is either ghee or margarine.
Margarine tastes like butter, is yellow, but is mad of oil. It will not burn like real butter.
Ghee is a form of butter, but all the milk solids have been removed. The milk solids are what causes butter to burn so quickly. Ghee can cook at high temperatures without burning.
I would just hate it if someone tried to use real butter for cooking in a wok over a high fire to only have it burn and ruin the recipes. Burnt butter tastes awful and has a bad smell. Avoid using it with Asian cooking because it burns quickly at high heat. If you live the taste of butter on your food as I do, just melt a little over low heat in a small pan and add it to taste when your dish is done.
