@@BluebaggersEdge - with first pick get a pacy mid that can goal kick for me, like a Xavier Lindsay or maybe Tobie Travaglia ( more a half back/mid ). Then go tall backman for me with the next pick, Luke Trainor. Can get small forward later either Jacob Konstanty ( trade from sydney ) or Malcolm Rosas Jr ( delisted from Suns).
We’re lucky as most of the top MIDs are goalkickers. Finn O’Sullivan has a HUGE leap for his size, finishing 2nd in the vertical leap behind a bloke who leapt 1cm more and is 10cm taller! A serious aerial threat when drifted FWD. Lalor the more big bodied Dusty type who can shift forward and use his size/strength to mark/goal. Spoilt for choice! Exciting times!
@@quentondaniels8536 100%! Draper is the one I am hoping we nab, but it's like being a kid in a lolly shop at this point! 😂And I too am hoping we take a punt on a soon to be delisted Konstanty. We haven't been linked with him as yet, but now Owies having moved on might make us reconsider - hopefully!
Nick Austin is an elite operator in his own right also. If Wrighty had a hand in providing advice, he is already displaying why his unique skillset will help us immensely across all facets of the forty department, and not just as a vanilla CEO. 😜
Oh yes, I did forget about Billy. Huge wraps, and could even morph into a midfielder in time (or rotate through like Doc). Well stocked in the area of dashing HBF’ers.
4 young kids when we’re in the window? I’d prefer P12 Houston n a kid at 14. Austin would’ve been hoping young or Kennedy got a trade pick worthy of being bundled to their Houston deal as sweetener.
Weiters Charlie , Harry ,TDK '15 , why SPS Dow Stocker OBrien , undid all that positive work and speculation , that what picks are , but Dan Houston is a known commodity!
Take both picks to the draft, Houston is very good and an elite kick but we have Saad, Boyd and possibly McGovern who need the ball in their hands more often. I’d prefer trading for known commodities that are 23-24yrs. None of us are experts but we all want the same thing and that’s #17 and sustained success
Would've been handy, but unfortunately he only had eyes for the Hawks. No doubt they were offering him huge $$ that our tight cap couldn't accommodate for even if he wanted to come to us.
By trading next years first round with hawks, do we lose next years first round pick or just swap with hawks first round? ( ie a gamble on ladder position? )
Yep, we no longer have a 2025 first rounder. But we might try and nab someone else’s 2025 first rounder next trade period if we wanted to trade back into the first round. 👌🏻
Austin smashed it. I’m hoping to draft two quality kids with them, not so keen on Houston or moving up the draft to lose one of the picks.
Totally agree, mate! To do it heading into a "super draft" makes it even better. Bloke is a guru.

@@BluebaggersEdge - don’t forget Draper too. All three are worthy of pick 3

Great to see, Graham Wright starting work early!

What are yours thoughts on Billy Wilson, and putting him off half back? Supposedly a great user and can run.

Barrass and a pick please
