Thanks guys! We were so tempted to hit up Jaime's and the other upcharge restaurants, but we had to stay the course and try the foods included in the cruise price so we could review their standard offerings. But you know us, next time we cruise RC, we'll be hitting up all of them! lol
Royal Caribbean definitely does a fun sail away party, it was probably suspended due to Covid protocols. We are sailing on the Navigator in December, can’t wait.

I have cruised on almost all the major cruise lines, but love RCCL and Norwegian the best! Amazing food and lots to do on board. Have recently discovered that Norwegian actually has cruises that leave from New Orleans, so we are booked to travel the Western Caribbean in December. Enjoy your cruise!! Great video!

The main dishes looked delicious! Fried chicken and prime rib are my favs. It would be totally perfect if they came with a bowl of white rice which I enjoy with every meal :) Looking forward to day 2! Keep up the great videos!

Royal Caribbean usually has a sail away party with line dancing and live music but due to covid they have cancelled events. Hopefully soon they will bring back the activities and fun. Right now it seems their approach is enjoy the lower capacity and shows/ entertainment social distant. We just cruised the Mardi Gras and Carnival's approach is opposite. It is very much similar to the way cruising was pre covid with all the activities ...just wear a mask. Carnival also has a higher capacity on the ship right now. We really enjoyed the Mardi Gras. You guys should also try Royal Caribbeans Oasis class of ships
I miss cruising which of course came to a major halt because of the pandemic. I've only done Royal Caribbean so it's awesome the LA port has returned once again!! They normally have a sail away party but I'm sure it's all because of these pandemic times. Also, I'm not sure if they recently changed, but pre-pandemic you can always order multiple plates (appetizer, entree, and desserts) in the formal dining for free. Anyway, thank you for doing this review.. you may just motivate me to go cruising again and even check out this one! 😀

Wow, Bill and Lisa cruise RCI….🙂 We have cruised three times on this ship when it was sailing to the eastern Caribbean out of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. It’s one of our favorite ships. RCI spent 115 million to refurbish it three years ago. We will be back on board soon since it’s a short drive. Now we have to get you two on Celebrity. 🙂 By the way Lisa, we will be at DL next week and eating at Trader Sam’s on Wednesday for lunch. Hope to see you.

As of right now, no testing requirements returning to the US for cruise ships (only for air travel back to the US). All testing requirements can change at anytime, so it's best to check Royal's website for the latest requirements. Have a great cruise!
RC definitely has better quality food at the buffet and MDRoom than Carnival! However, Carnival offers more dining options included such as Shaq's chicken, G Fieri's burgers, pizza is also a lot better at Carnival and so is their 🍸 etc than RC! Also, Carnival has more nightly entertainment than RC such as comedy shows, etc.
My big delimma about going on this ship is that I wanna save my cruise experience for symphony of the seas outta Miami. I don’t wanna do this small cruise and ruin my big cruise appetite. However symphony is much more expensive and then airfare had to be factored in. This ship is right in my backyard. Outta LA. I think I’m gonna wait for the big one

Yes, had to provide either a PCR or Antigen negative test result taken within 2 days of sailing. As of this cruise, masks are required indoors (but, heard this may be changing soon with Royal Caribbean).
I have always been afraid to go on a cruise! But after watching your videos, I’m considering it! You videos were a great help! Would you prefer the royal or carnival cruise line?
Included in the cost of the cruise is all the food from the buffet, main dining room, and the Mexican fresh quick service at the pool deck. Drinks wise, everything except sodas, alcohol, specialty coffees, and bottled water. As for the drink package, decided against it because the cost per day was a bit high, and as you see in the vlogs, we really didn’t drink that much.

All meals in the buffet and main dining room (as well as pizza station, Mexican fresh quick service station, most items on room service menu) are included in he price of the cruise. The balcony cabins are pretty sweet.
Should've watched your videos before choosing Navigator of the Seas. There are only 4 eateries included, and the Main Dining Room was awful. We paid $50 pp for Jamie's Italian and it was just OK, and no ambiance whatsoever. Carnival's restaurants have ambiance and more eateries included, plus their steakhouse looks good for $38 pp. We'll try them next time!
I like Bill and Lisa, but they are a little bit deceptive sometimes. Carnival is hands down the best cruise for the food. And why do we cruise?? For the food!!
I am happy you are on the sea. With less people, others vlogers had stated, it is a really different experience. no long lines. watch and see how often you are out walking and do not see others. that whole cow they served up was quite large but on thinner side.

I just got off the Navigator on Monday. First RCL cruise and loved it. I booked 2 more cruises while on board.

I'm taking Navigator late April and this a good intro to the Ship. Went on Symphony just before Christmas so it will be good to compare.

I have only been on carnival, was there a difference in ‘sea sickness’ on this boat? The first day or two on Carnival I’m always affected
Really depends on the ocean conditions more than the ship. That said, I only took a Bonine on day 1, not needed for the remainder of the cruise.

Wrong. Carnival food is better in every way possible. There is nothing good about RC food. Nothing! It’s barely edible.
